The company was great at communication when we were figuring out specs for my new shower glass. But once they had my credit card information, that went downhill. I paid a $1,000 deposit and never got an email confirmation (which they had previously said was coming), or the promised phone call to set up delivery/ install. I called to ask for some sort of confirmation, and turns out they had sent it to someone else's email. This was a bit concerning, considering now someone out there has my personal information (email, name, phone number and address). I am not even sure how this mistake happened-- I had emailed back and forth with the company so many times prior to this. I was told they would reach out with install dates, but didn't hear back for a couple days. I called and emailed with no response, until eventually I was told they were not working because it was their son's wedding. That's fine, I congratulated them and waited patiently. Even though this was a bit unprofessional, considering I had paid $1,000 with nothing to show for it. Eventually, after making a few more calls, I was able to set up an install date. This was somewhat exasperating for me, since I felt like I was hounding the company to give me the item I had put down a $1k down payment for. I was told I could hand the remaining payment via check to the installers, in order to avoid the 3% credit card fee. So, that was the plan. On install day, the installers scratched up my brand new drywall. And, when offered the check, they asked us to mail it to the office. Ok, so we planned to do that. However it was a few days before Thanksgiving, and we had family visiting in town, so we were going to mail the check in a couple of days. Instead, the company charged my card along with a 3% fee of about $78. I emailed the company to explain the situation, and to share that some damage was caused during install. All I wanted was my $78 back since I felt it was unfair to be charged that fee, considering I'd followed their payment instructions every step of the way. No response. I've followed up once or twice, but still nothing from the company. The shower glass is beautiful, but I am very disappointed in the lack of communication, and the unwillingness to work with me to fix their mistakes. read more

We had them install a frameless shower in our newly remodeled bath. Brannon tried his best not to crack any of the glass tile during install but a few days later unfortunately it did start on both hinges. He said it was a possibility so I don't fault him plus they say upfront they aren't responsible. It was a risk we had to take due to our setup. The good is that they are very reasonable in their pricing as we got higher bids from other local glass companies. The staff answered any and all questions we had since this was our first experience. As for the bad, we had to follow up several times on things along the way they said they would get back to us on. I don't think they were purposely doing it but it got frustrating that we would have to keep reaching out for updates or billing either by email or phone. We were also told we get a phone call a few days later asking about our experience as a customer, but never did. Regarding the install they were pretty quick but after they left I noticed they applied the clear sealant against the wall tile a little sloppy which I did try to correct but still kinda shows. Also the ladder handles we upgraded to had several scratches on it that I didn't notice at first and would have said something. All in all it looks good but we did have some issues so I couldn't give them 5 stars. read more

I have a chandelier and the bottom glass portion broke. I had no idea if I could salvage it or if I'd have to buy an entirely new chandelier. I have wanted to have my guest bath shower door replaced for the last ten years but it just seemed too daunting and ended up on the bottom of my to-do list. This last year, we had new floors installed throughout my house plus a new bathroom vanity installed in my guest bathroom. It made the old shower doors in my guest bathroom look even worse with all the upgrades surrounding it.. . I checked Yelp and found Brannon at NC Glass and Mirror. I had researched big box stores but they don't have their own installers. They sublet or hire out which means you don't know who you are getting for the most important part--the installation!! From first contact to completion of the job, it has been comforting with the help given, the scheduling, the quality of the product, and the work performed, I am ecstatic. This is a family owned business with family doing the work. The personalities of each individual involved were so calm and caring, it gave me peace that I had hired the right people to do my work. It also felt like there were a lot more choices in products than going into the big box stores. I was able to get a white shower door frame rather than chrome or brushed nickel or brass which all didn't appeal to me for this particular room. The white blended in nicely with my shower, leaving that beautiful sliding glass door to be the center of vision. The prices are very competitive as the finishing touches to a job that is now complete and leaving me more satisfied than I could have imagined. read more

We had to reschedule our appointment and my husband told the guys after 2pm but Marco and Eric came before 2pm. First thing was they banged on the door. A knock would have been okay! But I guess some guys need to take their anger out. I was upset bc I was rushing, had to put barking dogs upstairs and high stress of all these Vendors coming in to renovate our place constantly. I expect a business to come on the appointed time that they have committed to. I asked them to wait 5 minutes and when I finally opened I questioned them about the appointment that was for later but Marco said it would me 5 minutes and fast. So I approved them to measure and stated that their was a miscommunication in schedule because I had to leave. Then Eric stated "We're doing you guys a favor because you rescheduled from earlier". And I again said their was a miscommunication. Then I asked if they had booties and the guy Eric said "No, you should provide that"! Then I told him "we've had multiple Vendors bring their own booties", however, the other guy Marco who was much nicer said "I'll take off my shoes". After they measured I asked to take a photo of the measurements and Eric took away his paper with an attitude and said they don't do that. I was like okay bye (thinking just GTFO). I called the manager Brannon and told him about Eric's rude disgusting nasty attitude! My husband also had a confrontation with Eric outside and asked why he was acting like that to me (I was texting him while they were here) and Eric said I "wasn't nice to him". The upgraded the glass using gray, tempered glass throughout to help keep the heat out during sunny days. They also installed a stellar new shower door with no metal framing. It looks beautiful! We had an eighty year old family heirloom mirror that we've moved around the country for decades. So it was a great shock to return home to find it shattered on the floor when it had seemed secure for five years. When we delivered the carved frame to North County Glass and Mirror, it was suggested we opt for 1/8 th inch mirror which would be less heavy. However, when we returned to retrieve it we learned that the ancient frame wasn't able to accommodate the thinner glass. Nonetheless, the 1/4" glass brought the frame back to its original glory! It was proving difficult to find someone willing to give an estimate on a weekend, but when calling on a Friday morning, was so happy to find that Brannon said he was happy to schedule an estimate on a Saturday morning (24 hours later no less). Timeframe was 10-noon and his son showed up at 10 on the dot. He was very professional and knowledgable. We received our quote the following Monday and the price was very competitive so we gave the OK to proceed and had our materials in by the end of the week, scheduling for an install early the next week. Horrible. Should have known by all the five star reviews. Those are rarely real. In any case, my experience was a complete and total waste of time. Junior came out for a measure of everything I needed. He never got back to me. When we called the owner, his father, he said that he realized our paperwork was just sitting on Junior's desk. He said he would get back to us right away. He did get back to us once but still three months later I have not even gotten a quote! Also, they didn't know what Low iron glass is . It's pretty much standard now unless you're really buying crappy product. If it's not a low iron you can tell. It just won't look nice and crisp and clear. In any case, do not waste your time with these guys. They certainly wasted ours. read more
