Best experience ever. We had our home floor retiled including a stepdown which required the tile to be hand rounded. The results were perfect. But beyond the great craftsmanship every worker was on time, stayed late, was courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. They also replaced our toilets and when rotten wood was found underneath one they literally had a worker at my house at 8am the next day who worked all day to fix the entire rotten area and retile. We originally had new quartz countertops installed by SD Bros 2 years ago, and since then they had gotten stained and settled leading to pooling water. Alex worked with us to replace them, paying for a large portion of the work and material himself! The issues were chalked up to a manufacturing defect in the old material, no fault of him or his crew. The new quartz counters are stunning, better than we hoped for! On top of that he gave us a great deal on a new fireplace surround that came out looking amazing. We have all had the experience of trying to find a reliable contractor to do work for us. Having just suffered through the addition of a bathroom in a condo I own, I was beginning to think that there weren't any honest or reliable contractors in San Diego County. But then I decided to retile an existing bathroom in the same condo and discovered SD Brothers Tile and Stone. While the estimate that SD Brothers was more than other contractors who estimated the job, the estimate that Alex Sysoyev gave me was professional, detailed and covered every aspect of the work, including cleanup. Do you know that there is a designated member of their crew that is dedicated to fully cleaning up after completion of the work? And he did! He vacuumed, he dusted and he damp moped the hard flooring until the condo sparkled. Seeing the condition of the condo when the crew left, no one would ever guess that the bathroom had been completely demo'd and upgraded. Plus, they removed and replaced the baseboards around the four walls to complete the look of a brand-new bathroom (would have included a photo or two but I'm a pitiful photographer). Furthermore, Alex told me that the job would require five days to complete - and that was about what I thought the take would take. They began work on Monday morning and finished up at 6:45 PM on Friday evening, including all of the necessary cleanup! Very impressive, in my mind! They undoubtedly give quality work, start and finish on time, are responsible, clean and dependable. A Rarity when it comes to contractors. They also have plumbing subs that do great work, but they are very expensive. It is definitely less expensive to use your own plumber if you have one. We had SD tile brothers and Stone work on the remodel of our kitchen, bathroom and family room. They did fabulous work. They matched an existing travertine floor and they seamlessly added to it. They put down a schluter system under the stone to keep it from cracking, due to a poor raised subfloor.
