Don't trust these guys. Totally rude and disrespectful. Called me about an hour ago after Geico put…read morein the request for a tow and he claimed my vehicle needed collision work. I told him a few times this was not the case. He said he'll be over here in 15 minutes. I came downstairs and was waiting for him. He didn't even call me or ring my doorbell, he just briefly knocked. He didn't even give me 45 seconds to come to the door (I'm looking at the time stamp of the Ring video between when he knocked on the door, and when I answered. Literally less than 45 seconds). Me being cordial and kind and saying hello, stepping out, he saw me in my driveway and yet he pulled out and started driving away. I thought he didn't see me or something and went out in the middle of the street jumping up and down doing jumping jacks trying to flail this guy down. Totally embarrassed myself! Pioneer Auto is waiting for my vehicle to be dropped off by this guy. I called his number 2x and texted it. Both went unreturned. Called another one of A-1's numbers. Went unanswered as well. Called off a different number and they answered immediately! Said that I have to call Geico back because "they waited for me" and that they cancelled the order and tow and I'd have to call back Geico again to request another one. Ridiculous. Have been on the phone for the last 30 minutes with Geico and about 2 hours dealing with this today. A-1 is the only contracted tower with Geico in the Oak Harbor area. Geico said they shouldn't have been here til 315 pm and he came at 254 pm. They said he had to wait for me until 315, give me a call or Geico one. I'm telling you it's all documented on Ring video. Not even a full minute between him knocking on the door, me coming out, and him driving away from my driveway. Not ok. Beyond petty, I did nothing to these people. And Geico said I need to document all of this, because guess what? The guy cancelled the tow but STILL got paid by Geico. Now my car is broken in my driveway without a tow, and I can't find someone to tow my vehicle til Monday! I did absolutely nothing rude or mean to these people and for them to do this and treat someone like this - for what? I told him I could barely hear him on the phone today when he had a bunch of people talking around him? That's the reason to act and behave like this? And now I have to do 2 reviews with Geico and on here? Totally petty, and a waste of time. I don't know why people in the Oak Harbor area are so beyond rude, unaccommodating, and just plain mean but I'm so sick of it. Lived in 10 states and this area is probably one of the meanest/ rudest in the country. Not ok. Now I'm upset, Geico is upset, and for what reason? Was he trying to scam us or just try to make our lives more difficult? If he didn't want the job or to deal with me for whatever reason he shouldn't have accepted it. Geico just tried to get them to come back and do the tow and he refused because 1.) he said I didn't come to the door when he knocked (not true based off of the Ring video - literally 45 seconds between him knocking and me coming out), 2.) he called me earlier and because Geico said my car had collision work he is refusing to take it allegedly and he is refusing to take any future jobs from Geico or me. Ridiculous. Hope karma does justice. Update: looks like he's done this many times based off the reviews on Yelp and Google! So I know it's not just a "me" issue! The auto body shop said this is how he is too and they don't recommend him. Just a shame! And he allegedly destroyed people's bikes and threw things in their yard throwing a temper tantrum for whatever reason. I came outside and both my trash cans were slammed to the ground and damaged which they've NEVER been in the 2 years living here. Either he hit them with the tow truck or threw them down! Now they're damaged! The garbage people would've NEVER allowed this nor would my neighbors! Every other trash can on the street was standing up straight! Both my regular trash can and recycling were thrown down by this man and it's caught on my neighbor's Ring camera as well! I'd like to file a report on this man. There is NO REASON whatsoever to behave like this or treat another human being like this! Especially someone that was nothing but kind and respectful to him to begin with! Absurd! I'd like to call the cops and report him because this is a common problem with him judging from the reviews. You don't destroy another person's property! Maybe it's a blessing he didn't get in my car and drive my car. But man. I understand he mate hate his life but no reason to take it out on other good people just trying to get help!

Saturday, August 1, while driving on I-5 south near the Tulalip Outlets just off exit 200, it was…read morestop and go traffic on the highway. Cars had slowed to a crawl and I came to a complete stop just as cars in front of me were stopped due to the early afternoon weekend traffic jam. And as I was stopped a light green Prius had crashed into my car completely damaging my rear bumper and pushing my car into the car in front of me further damaging my front bumper and hood. The shocking part was the driver of the light green Prius did not stop to check to see if myself, my passengers, and the driver in front of me were OK. The woman driving the lime green Prius had left the scene and drove off without taking any accountability or responsibility for what had happened. It looked like she was distracted and on her phone during the accident. Luckily, none of my passengers were hurt or injured during the accident. And the woman driving a 2017 Lexus in front of me was not hurt either. Her car did not sustain any damages either, just my 2005 Nissan Maxima SE. I had called 911 to request assistance and seek advice from a state trooper on whether my car was safe to drive home. It was fortunate that I did, I was still shaken from what had happened and still in disbelief the women in the light green Prius had driven away making it a hit and run accident. Soon after speaking with the state trooper I had called several tow truck companies in the area. Richard's Towing was one of two who responded immediately. I called and left a voice mail message with my name number and details of the accident. Richard had called me back and was very professional. He asked me specific details, where I was located, where I would like my car to be dropped off, calculated the total distance between Tulalip and Bothell (25 miles) to provide an accurate estimate, and he also provided an eta when he was able to pick up my car. Richard provided clear and transparent pricing, professional service, and I was also able to ride along in his tow truck for the drop off. During the ride home, Richard was very personable and shared his knowledge and experience with similar accidents. The accident was a bit jarring and the conversation helped me calm my nerves and get my mind off losing my car or no longer having a reliable car to drive. Once we arrived at my home, Richard safely unloaded my car, accepted my payment via phone app. He was also able to provide and email me an invoice for the towing service so I could submit a copy to my insurance company. I highly recommend Richard's Towing. Richard earned my trust by providing clear and transparent communication. His pricing was fair and accurate based on the miles calculated and rate for the distance traveled. Richard was also very personable and showed much needed empathy and compassion after my accident. Later a tree fell on my mother's Lexus and she took it to Bruce at Pilchuck auto body and despite it being significant damage done it appeared that it never happened. This was a little older vehicle as well with pearl paint with some flake as well and it matched perfectly. I've been to a couple other shops with people colliding with me and wish their insurance would have let me use Pilchuck. I was saddened to read the one prior review since my experience with Alger Towing could not have…read morebeen more different: when the Tow truck arrived after a breakdown (through AAA) the first thing Dan told us was :"Did AAA advise you about overage charges?" He went on to explain that since we had the Basic AAA membership we were only entitled to a 5-mile tow, and anything beyond 5 miles would cost us $6/mile. We agreed to the sum and he promptly gave us a discount. He also advised us to upgrade our membership, so we'd get more towing miles - something we will do. I really appreciated his upfront approach. Dan was friendly and efficient. He took our car all the way to our garage in Bellingham and chatted with the owner like he was an old friend, which he probably was, since he's been doing this job for many years. and seems to know all the garage owners around. We even got a ride in a Tow Truck!
