Contracted for 29Lx15Wx6in thick concrete patio with rebar on chairs. Lucky if I got 3in thick in most places. Rebar on chairs in some areas but not in total and not spaced per recommended practice. Rebar laying on ground in many areas. 2 inches of aggregate base not placed. Sloped improperly, holds water in low spots. Poor job, poor scheduling, poor communication. It was a hassle from start to finish working with them. Didn't even bother to argue about it as it would have to be them who would fix it and that would have been another fiasco. read more

North Dallas Concrete had previously repaired our driveway and did such a great job that I recently contracted them for a circular-drive extension project. I worked with Jens to come up with a plan suitable for my HOA. He was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, listened closely, and provided all needed details. After approval, construction began and was finished in 3 short days. The result is stunning! The new extension exactly matches the existing drive (pebblestone) and will no doubt increase the value of our home, as well as serving for its intended purpose -- ease of vehicular access. The workers were super efficient and left the property cleaner than when they arrived! The staff at NDC, including Alex who answers the phone, excels at communication -- missed calls on my end included detailed voicemails, and rare missed calls on their end were promptly returned. I contracted NDC to extend my driveway in March 2016. Here I am a year later and I'm screwed, the work they did will have to be removed and re-poured at my expense! Mark Jones was my contact, we went back and forth to clarify the details when I asked him to amend the estimate with the details he said it wasn't necessary as he understood what I wanted and that it was reflected in the estimate. Once the job was finally done months later, it wasn't poured at the right slope, wasn't aligned to the house, and there was concrete spattered all over my house - basically a botched job! I tried for months to get Mark to meet with me to review the issues, he'd say he'd get to me then wouldn't, when I pressed him and the office they just ignored me. Finally I got my attorney involved and they said I approved the job on-site the day it was poured yet promised to arrange to meet with me to review, but have never made good on that promise. My only recourse is to sue them and It's just not worth the time and money. I cannot believe they are still in business with their rude, unprofessional and dishonest practices. Beware - You'd be CRAZY to work with this company! read more

We used this company for a new driveway. They completely botched the job. It looked horrible! You could actually see the squares of the rebar through the concrete and when it rained, water would pool in the indentations. Funny, on the day they poured, it was raining out. I actually said to the arrogant project manager Marc Jones, "Are you sure you want to pour today?" My return response was, "We know what we're doing. We do this all of the time." Then they proceeded to pour and messed it up. When we asked them to redo the driveway, they never apologized, never took accountability and dodged our phone calls on several occasions. They blamed "the concrete company that poured." Whatever, I thought you WERE a concrete company! Finally, they redid the driveway 5 weeks later and we asked for a 10% discount due to all the hassle we've been through. They flat out said "No, we had to swallow the cost of the first one." What the heck kind of customer service is that? If you didn't botch the first one, you wouldn't be in this pickle now would you?? read more

Jens was our contact for North Dallas Concrete. He makes a good first impression, but turns rude when problems occur... 3 big negatives. 1) North Dallas Concrete poured a back patio for us. The concrete was mixed incorrectly, so when it dried there were thumb-sized holes all over one of the three sections. Jens, who had been very friendly was now very difficult to reach. It took 3 weeks of calling and texting for him to come back and look at the patio. Jens was mad and very grumpy, even though it was obvious that the job had been done badly. He protested, but agreed to do it over. 2) As soon as the new replacement concrete dried, it cracked. This was a new job. It dried and cracked in ONE MONTH. This is unacceptable. The concrete was obviously not mixed well the second time. Again it took 2-3 weeks of multiple phone calls and texts before Jens came out to look. However, beware! Jens informed us that it is in the contract that they do not redo or repair cracks. If your concrete cracks, you are out of luck. 3) Finally, Jens and North Dallas Concrete refused to pay for damage done by their crew. The workers damaged a 20-foot stretch of our patio wall siding when they repoured the bad concrete. Jens refused to repair it, or to pay for repairing it. I have no idea how he reconciles that in his mind. It is obvious to anyone that his crew did damage, and the company is responsible. But Jens refused. We could do nothing about it because we had already paid-in-full. If I were you, I would never do business with this company. read more
