Stellar service and quality work! I had custom work done to my mink jacket and they made sure that they got it right!

Not only did they help ease my mind and console me , they helped me understand how flawless the coat would appear upon completion of the repairs. I have never owned my own mink (and I'm 52), but since I had to borrow this coat, and since there were such beautiful coats in the store..my husband said "try one on". Yes...he bought me a beautiful fur of my own. But the incredible thing was that the owner helped me try every coat on several times and didn't stop showing me furs that fit my taste and body style, until I found my perfect coat. Go to this place! They are honest, fair and their customer service is impeccable.

Holding my property hostage!…read more Be careful you may get your fur back damaged or not at all!!!! I have stored my fur here for 10 years. The service is sourly but adequate. When I came to pick up my coats for the season my blue fox coat was hanging with the rest of the items on the stand. Mr. Martin did not make any attempt to bring it to my attention but there were pieces of the coat hanging torn off the coat. Not in the seam. Simply strips of the fur hanging of the coat. Mr. Martin waved the payment on the entire order to make up for the severe negligence in the care of my jackets, had me sign receipt and stamped it afterwards. He kept the receipt without giving me a copy. He said he would repair the blue fox and I could come pick it up shortly. He called soon after and tried to blame "somebody else" who repaired the coat. The coat has not been anywhere else for probably ten years and he himself did some repairs on it in the past. It would take quit a force to tear a fur like this. (again not in the seam). My husband called Mr. Martin who gave him the same improbable story of "somebody else has done it and it came apart all by itself" however repeated that the order is indeed free and for me to come pick it up. When I did, to my surprise I was asked to pay for the previously retrieved coats. The owner did not allow me to take my property without paying for part of the order that has been already completed and in my possession. So be careful - it can be you next time!

We had a detailed appointment and agreed on everything, including pricing. When we picked up the pieces, there were major mistakes. The company ignored our instructions, claiming there wasn't enough material, and never called to discuss the changes. Even more upsetting, the embroidery with my mom's name, a sentimental detail, was lost. When we addressed the issues with Allison, she was defensive. There was no acknowledgment of mistakes, no input asked from us, and no apology. This project was sentimental, not about money, and the lack of accountability was disappointing. While this is a niche industry, I would never use this company. Their attitude toward their errors and lack of responsibility made a bad situation even worse. We have moved on to preserve the memory of my mom, but this is our honest experience. I'm sure Allison will respond with excuses and defensiveness the way she has done with us. Note: Response to Allison response. She is literally a habitual liar at this point. Literally, she is making things up and being untruthful. We are the easiest people to work with values and morals. We did not ask for more money back or a discount, just a little accountability and respect. We knew exactly what we wanted being a huge sentimental gesture and this company failed miserably and is now lying about it.

Perhaps invest in surveillance cameras?…read more Honestly why have a store in the first place if you're not willing to welcome all potential customers? Me and an acquaintance stopped to check out some fashion pieces, perhaps even a gift for someone and upon entering, the store owner, Joel, asked us what we did and what we were doing in the store. Understandable, however, to have followed us around the store without even as much as giving us some space was an uncomfortable experience. No one likes being surveilled, furthermore, no one likes being unwelcome and even profiled to a place that had their doors open. Imagine being asked what you did for a living, and then being followed.

There was no cold aloofness like in some stores. We were guided to the counter where my friend explored various options and eventually chose the most beautiful Monogram Empreinte Leather purse with one of the newest designs. The sales associate was amazing, showing us how the bag could be worn in four or five different ways. She was kind, funny, and incredibly helpful. We even had two sales associates give their honest opinions, which made the experience feel personal and genuine. The staff were so nice and even made us laugh as we discussed all the intricate details about the bag. My friend wanted to think about it, so we took a stroll and when we came back to purchase the purse, we had a different sales associate and he was also wonderful. After the purchase, we celebrated with a photo together in the store, just for fun - the associate even took the picture for us and was so sweet about it. I've had my first Louis Vuitton suitcase since I was a teenager and travel frequently with LV luggage, but I've never had such a fun, memorable time buying something LV with a friend. Some of the staff in the boutiques can be so cold or aloof, but not this one. They are so nice! I absolutely love the vibe here and highly recommend this location if you're in the area. The staff truly make it special. You can find the same merchandise elsewhere, but it's the warmth, smiles, and service that set this store apart. One gripe: if you don't have a residency in the US and are traveling, you can get the sales tax back (minus the processing fees) on these items; there used to be an office in Northpark Mall but it's closed (staff wasn't aware of this), so you have to do a tax refund at DFW airport outside security near American Airlines check-in at D30, and the hours are 8am-8pm. So if you do want to get your tax refund, make sure you get to the airport early as it's a huge airport will take some time.

Few of the longtime employees remaining truly understand what has made Clothes Horse a Dallas institution. They greet customers, offer assistance, acknowledge people when they enter, and create the kind of upscale shopping experience that keeps customers returning to this gem of a store. Unfortunately, some of the newer employees don't seem to share that same customer-service mindset. The atmosphere feels different, and some of the attention to customers that once set the store apart appears to be fading. With that said, my loyalty to Clotheshorse runs deep, and I continue to have great respect for the manager and the few longtime sales associates. I'm hopeful that the store can recapture the level of service that made it so special for so many years. I'll keep giving it another chance because Clotheshorse has been one of my favorite Dallas shopping destinations for a very long time.

He was very fun and hyped us up the entire time. He was also informative about soap techniques and did his best to guide us through the process of making our own loaves, and stepped in if we needed assistance. You get to pick your own scent, up to 3 colors, addons like glitter, oatmeal, exfoliants, etc., and what size you want (we did the half-size which is about 7 bars). I believe it was around $40-50 per person and to book, just call Buff City and say you'd like to book a soap making class! You'll receive PPE for your clothes and goggles for your face so you don't have to worry about the mess. The soap making process took only about 30 minutes to maybe an hour because we spent quite a bit of time picking out our customizations. The soap has to settle and isn't safe to use for about 3 days, so you'll have to return to the store to pick up. I came back a day later after making the soap to cut it, but you can choose to have them cut it for you if I remember correctly, and it was such a workout! I loved experiencing every part of the soap making process and didn't want to skip the soap cutting because this always looked like the best part from what I've seen on TikTok. Because I went a day later, the soap was already pretty solid and so it was difficult for me to cut, but I was able to do both loaves by myself so it's definitely doable! My partner chose one of Buff's already mixed scents to use (I think it was "Commando") for his purple and gold bars while I mixed coconut, honey, and oatmilk for mine! Both smell and look really nice in my opinion and I know this is an activity we'll do from time to time once we run out of soap. Thank you so much again, Jordan!!

Half spilled out, after immediately notifying the staff they asked if she planned to buy it. Feeling pressured and embarrassed, she paid full price, $20 of her babysitting money for half a bag. I called the store after my daughter came home, clearly shaken by the experience. The associate admitted he remembered the incident and that the spill was still on the floor. He also explained they often have open bags for customers to test. Rather than offering a replacement with me on the phone, he said it was "fine for them" she paid full price for a half empty tester product and chose to debate me on my logic. I can't help but feel like they were simply taking advantage of the situation. Accidents happen, but customer service is the one advantage brick-and-mortar stores have over online shopping. If stores lose sight of that, they lose their customers too. I imagine Buff City will read this review. I don't want a refund, I don't want a full bag. I just hope Buff City considers retraining staff to handle these kinds of situations and to prioritize customer care. Do better.
