We sat on the porch looking out over the vineyard like we were in the Alexander Valley. Honestly, we have done the North Fork trail more but will now be a SOFO family as well. Helene and I both enjoy a good Chardonnay and "Wolffer's Pearl" is great, A chard with tremendous body and depth. We had the honor of being on a European Wine Cruise with the wine maker. Roman Roth [and his wife]. He had multiple wine dinners where we had an opportunity to try some of these new red and white wines and really took a liking to them. We joined their wine club as soon as we returned home so we'll have more to enjoy during the year. Let me be honest... I have been drinking and collecting Roman Roth wines for years now and have always enjoyed them. The team that took care of us was amazing. Nothing but smiles and service. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this wonderful visit. The only downside is that the drive from mid-island to the Hamptons can get a little long. Instead we found that OWW had a large tasting room and retail area. There was a three piece jazz band playing in the main room which added nicely to ambience. Our server explained the wine sampler my wife ordered which she chose from a selection on the menu. I opted for two Classic Manhattans instead. They were perfect. I then had a glass of the Spaghetti Red which was awesome. We ended up purchasing several bottles to bring home. They also have a nice lunch and small plate menu. We a trio of Mediterranean dips.
