I swear I would choose the dentist over the optometrist because I cannot stand the feeling of something in or near my eye, and only made it about 2 weeks in contacts many years ago. With that being said, both Dr. Sivan & Dr. Whitbourne were fantastic!! They were attentive, precise, and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and ready for them to take a look at my eyes. I feel like they both have this calming, quiet energy about them that helped me relax. They even let me opt out of dilating my eyes and had a machine that took x rays behind my eyes so they got a full visual without having to mess me up for the next hour or so with the solution. I did pay a fee for this whereas the dilation is covered, but I still thought it was worth it. Front desk staff was also extremely helpful upon check in and at check out. It's a beautiful, clean space and located right in Vickery Village. Highly recommend!

Hundreds of dollars worth! The doctor listened very carefully, too, to everything I wanted, and all his staff were super knowledgeable and friendly. I took PTO to drive 40 minutes to my appointment only to arrive to a note taped to the door saying that the center was closed until further notice. I even received a reminder email the morning of my appointment and there was no indication of cancelation. When I tried to call them, their line was disconnected. I call every center's number I could find and their lines were all disconnected. As I sat in the parking lot trying to get anyone to answer the phone, I watched at least 6 other patients pull into the parking lot, walk up, read the sign, turn right around and leave. Looks like I wasn't the only one that didn't get the closure message. I better not be charged as a no-show for their unannounced closure. I won't be recommending them to anyone based off of this interaction and customer service experience alone.

He stated that I am likely not a great candidate for LASIK as my prescription isn't bad enough and that I'm more farsighted so LASIK was likely not going to help me and could potentially make things worse. I really appreciate when professionals advise you on things that are best for you and not on things that are best for their pockets. This means a lot to me and shows he cares about my well being. I also love that they offer Optomap so I don't have to get my eyes dilated as that's such an uncomfortable feeling. I would highly recommend Dr Toman!

Given that I have been a customer for several years, I expected some flexibility when I needed to reschedule because of an out-of-town business trip. Their unwillingness to accommodate a long-standing customer is frustrating and makes me question whether it is worth continuing to use their services. In addition, their frames appear to be significantly marked up to align with insurance coverage. Overall, the decline in service quality has become increasingly noticeable.

Appointments are routinely changed, communication is disorganized, and no one seems to know what anyone else is doing. One appointment that I believed was a routine cleaning somehow turned into a 2 1/2-hour ordeal with no advance explanation. On another occasion, I was prescribed medication that should have been started before my procedure, but the prescription wasn't called in. The event that finally destroyed my confidence happened when I went in to have a chipped tooth repaired. Instead of fixing the damaged tooth, they worked on the one next to it and ended up cracking the base of the original chipped tooth. When the anesthetic wore off, the pain became so severe that I ended up in the emergency room. The result was thousands of dollars in additional treatment that never should have happened. The administrative side has been just as bad. They billed me directly for services but never submitted the claim to my insurance, leaving me to sort out a mess that should have been handled by their office. After waiting weeks for permanent crowns, I took time off work for the installation appointment. While I was driving there, the office called to say they had an emergency patient and couldn't see me. They sent me to another office later that afternoon, requiring me to take even more time off work. When I arrived, the COO apologized and informed me there had been no emergency at all. The dentist at the original office had simply decided not to complete my appointment. Being told one thing by the scheduling staff and something entirely different by management was the final straw. I canceled every remaining appointment that day. The irony? A week later, the same office that mishandled my care, my insurance, and my time called to remind me about a cleaning appointment they apparently forgot I had already canceled. Everyone understands that emergencies happen. Mistakes can happen too. What is much harder to accept is repeated poor communication, questionable scheduling practices, billing errors, and a pattern of wasting patients' time while expecting them to simply accept it. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, organized, or trustworthy dental care. Honestly I think the one star rating is gracious...
