He and his classmates always seem to be having such a fun time, the teachers and staff are so warm and engaging and super friendly. The meals and snacks that are provided are a combination of healthy and balanced, however serving it to toddlers, one has to dress it up as kid friendly food. Toddlers aren't foodies and the staff are not gourmet chefs, but the food is healthy and tasty and more importantly the kids like it and EAT it. When I babysit my grandson, he actually doesn't sit and eat, he grazes will only eat a hot dog, ( or at least only a few bites of it) or mac and cheese and will only take 2 bites and be full. At Hometown however the teacher tells me that he eats all of his food and usually asks for more! The PreK program he is in provides him with all the learning he needs and is very structured. All the kids seem to really enjoy each other and the classroom. The teachers and staff are safety conscience and truly seem to enjoy being there as do the kids. I only wish I could have given my children at the time a day care as awesome as Hometown. Back in the day, my children went to daycare that was average, today's kids are lucky and even luckier if they go to Hometown.

The director and staff at COA in Oswego are so unprofessional on many levels. I am going to start by saying my son (who happens to have mild Autism) was hired as a Teaching Assistant. This was told to them on his resume, as well as discussed at the interview. He was hired at COA about 6 months ago. Since being hired, he has been picked on, made to do work that other TA's are not made to do ( ex. clean all floors and toys in all classrooms). Written up for incidents that were embellished by other staff as a means to get him in trouble. Treated with disrespect and now after today called a racist because of a mis-pronunciation of a last name. His own family is comprised of 4 different races. He doesn't have a mean or racist bone in his body. My son, even through all of this, has continued to show up and work every day. He has taken the 10:30 am lunch even when he got to work at 9 am and others have been working since 6 am. He never complained about this unfair treatment due to feeling like he could lose his job all the time. It was evident in his anxiety that he felt left out and not supported at all. He recently had his hours cut, supposedly due to lack of enrollment. Although the center hired 4 new staff since he was hired and he was the staff with hours cut to 15 hours a week. They have treated him like he wouldn't know better and continuously pick on him. They expected him to be alone in a classroom, and because he spoke up and said he wasn't comfortable with this, his hours were cut. What a sad and unfortunate work experience for a young man who just felt he would like to work with young children. As he comes from a family who fostered other children throughout his life. He has had experience working and caring for kids quite a bit, just not in the daycare setting. As his Mom, I really felt this would be a great opportunity for him. How sad of COA to treat someone who is "different " with such disrespect that he no longer wants to work in an environment like that. I doubt you would want your children attending a place that treats their employees this way either. I know I wouldn't. If I thought my son could have written this himself, I would have him do so. His disabilities don't define him. His heart does. We will move on from here, but not without speaking our TRUTH.

Krystal the director has been wonderful and welcoming to my family and daughter since day 1. We had just moved from Colorado and she made the transition super easy! She is always happily greeting us with any questions or concerns. If she is not in the office we can always count Ms. Laura or Ms. Ally giving our daughter a warm welcome. Ms Donna was my daughter first teacher in the toddler room! She helped us wing away the paci and still greets my daughter with a big hug every morning! (It is such a beautiful sight to see, especially during the mornings when I am rushing to work.) Her current teachers Ms. Mary and Ms. Olivia ABSOLUTE ANGELS! How they manage the kiddos and still make it sooo fun I will never know! I always get photos and updates of my daughter doing fun activities! My daughter feels so safe to come to school and it shows when she is snuggling on her teachers. The staff there is incredible. They helped me with all my paperwork and every question I had. They even help me with personal problems when I asked for advice. The ladies are amazing and share the same amount of love to each and every child. My son is only two years old, and they have taught him his ABC's, how to count to 10 and all his colors. He has learned every sing-along song and sings them every day on our car ride home. I drive 30 minutes just so my son can go to this Kinder Care. My son and I love it there and all the staff. I highly recommend Saint Charles Kinder Care!
