I stand corrected! According to the sign that I did not see in the dark, The DOG PARK closes at sunset. The park itself closes at 10:00 p.m. I recognize that it's not the safest place in the dark, but unless it's a group of troublemakers, I can't see any reasonable officer running someone out the dog park. Thank you for the directions Denise!! Like she said, when you enter, drive straight. Follow the arrow that points to "softball" or go straight for a bit until there's a break to the left. Turn left & follow that tree line all the way down to the end. There's a chest-high chain link fence. You can see the American Flag in the background of one of my pics. If all else fails, find that & go from there. Just arrived with my 2 boys after a 2-day car trip. We went STRAIGHT to the dog park; YES, before the hotel. The park is open from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. but there is NO lighting in the dog park area. So, if you are worried about stepping in dog poop or starring in your own episode of Discovery ID, I wouldn't recommend going at night. There are cameras at the entrance lane, so I'm sure even if you aren't able to testify, your case will be solved :-/ (insert sarcasm her The parking lot is lit at night because it is designed to be used at all hours the park is open. I imagine when people play baseball or soccer at night, the field lights are used. The dog park is designed to be used at all hours the park is open. No one was using the dog park, or the park for that matter, when we arrived. I used my headlights to light the small dog area. I feel bad for the poor soul that's even THINKS about jumping on me or my 160 pound dog. But I honestly don't think it's a good idea for the majority of people to be there alone after dark. Between Oct & April, that most of the after-work hours. Other than that....thumbs up. It's small, but it's available! Happy Dance! There's plenty of empty, half-dark, creepy parking :-). There are separate big dog & little dog sections. There were dishes to be used for water. Poopy bags were stocked. The trash was full, but meh. All & all, it's a good place place for people to exercise & socialize their pups. It needs to be made a safer place. Get out & use it folks!

Nice open space, lots of room to run and play.

There is a section for small dog and a large area for the big dogs or the small dogs with big dog energy. Can't find it, just look for the airport in Fernandina because it's right across from it.

It is way over priced $200 a month are you kidding me $15 for the hour you spend with your dog there per day. The humane society is supposed to represent the community and be supplemental in cost it should be donations only. Don't waste your money on this bad dog park where your dog will get negative experiences.
