The first time I ordered, this place lived up to it's good reviews and I thought I had a new fave. A few times later, and I thought it was an off night....today was almost inedible. House fried rice had maybe 3 shrimp, and zero flavor. The spring roll "egg rolls" were tough and not fresh. Two stars only because the first time was good....today was that bad. Yelp helped me select this Cypress Chinese restaurant. The simply decorated restaurant is located in a strip center behind McDonalds and near CyRanch HS. A friendly staff greets you behind a counter and chairs in entryway similar to maybe a Pizza Hut lobby. To your immediate left of counter, there is an open room with maybe 12 dining tables. The restaurant was constantly taking to go orders and other customers arrived while my party of two dined in. A good sign when dining for the first time. There are one person restrooms for both genders behind a privacy screen. We missed the Lunch menu by about 10 minutes. Our bill $39.19 for 3-- My meal included 3 different spring rolls, pepper steak, rice, and soup for $14.95, broccoli and chicken with steamed rice, and finally, chicken and peanuts with steamed rice. No complaints to speak of with hearty portions. read more

Great Mu Shu Pork! Not as easy to find these days so it was nice that they had it on the menu!

Picked up lunch today and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the sesame chicken, chicken with mixed vegetables, and pepper steak lunch portions. All came with our choice of soup, fried rice, and either an egg roll or cheese puff. We mixed it up and got both fried and steamed rice along with egg rolls and one cheese puff to compare everything. The best entree was the sesame chicken! Delicious! The least tasty was the chicken with mixed vegetables. Hardly any flavor. The fried rice was fantastic and the steamed rice was average. The hot & sour soup was yummy but the egg drop soup was bland. The egg rolls were itty bitty tiny little things. Weird. The cheese puff was scrumptious! Overall, not too shabby. We will try other menu items for sure. We also liked that they are prestine clean and wear masks. read more

Y'all...this seriously is the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. It's consistent too! Truly my go too for Chinese food eat in or take out. We always order the beef and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, and shrimp fried rice. The shrimp are huge, broccoli is crisp, and everything is super fresh. Delivery is free; I promise we order from this place weekly. They have my number on file. Only complaint is that the fried rice portion they give you is way smaller than other places I've gone too. Good Asian food is difficult to find in Cypress. North Harbor Bistro is the best we've found, and it is quite good. Service is friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that the men at the front desk sometimes talk very loudly, and to customers it sometimes sounds like the staff are having a loud argument. They need to tone it down. The restaurant is hidden in a mini mall but it is worth a try. The food is good, not great but good enough to have it take out or go to on a weekday when you don't want to cook at all. I went during lunch and I ordered the Beef Broccoli with Egg Drop soup and fried rice. The food was filing. Definitely worth checking out. And you can give them a call for take away. read more

I can't believe I've never reviewed my favorite Asian Restaurant! We've been ordering from North Harbor for years and we've never had an issue with anything that we order. We usually order delivery and after opening the food, you can literally see the steam coming off of it, that's how fresh it is. Our order is always correct and the taste is consistent. Our favorite dishes are beef with broccoli, combination fried rice, combination lo mein, shrimp with garlic sauce and the egg rolls. read more

I'm at work dying of hunger and starvation, and I don't feel like eating 'blah' cafeteria food.. so I turn to my handy-dandy Yelp app and get to clicking. I work in a totally different area than where I live, so I am not familiar with the restaurants, but I knew I wanted something to be delivered and fast so I went with Chinese. Let me just say, Yelp is tried and true. I combed through the reviews of my fellow yelpers and was able to proceed with this restaurant without apprehension. I ordered my meal at 12:47 and I was ripping the bag open in my office at 1:14. FAST! The food was still steaming hot! This place stands behind its reviews and delivers a good quality product! Not to mention, the delivery guy called me several times to verify the location, ask if I needed anything additional and let me know he was downstairs. He even added on a extra chili pepper sauce for me. So needless to say I am in Chinese Nirvana right now. My belly is taut, I'm leaned back in this chair surfing and updating Yelp, so clearly I am not being a productive employee. After reading the reviews below I decided to order this trash for myself/family; -wonton soup damn near clear as water and completely tasteless with a large dumpling that was also an odd color -1 out of 5 -Hunan lunch combo; brown sauce was again lacking flavor! I asked for it to be extra spicy and that didn't happen, Meat was tough -1 out of 5 -fried rice ; dry and flavorless as hell; the lunch portion is so small they need to lower their prices on lunch meals -1 out of 5 -chicken spring roll tasted more like a veggie roll, it was crispy but lacked chicken like the lady claimed over the phone when taking my order -orange chicken and fried rice, again tasteless and small portions Condiments- sweet and sour sauce 3 out of 5 Pepper paste- lacking spices and not spicy whatsoever I just gave them $30 plus tip, this was a waste. Please don't read below and think it's going to be bomb! Those people must not like flavor! If you like flavor! Want to taste the seasoning and spice and good quality food/portions I'd pass on this spot! We just moved into this area and we will NOT be retuning customers.
