Sorry, but this is all I had left to take a photo of! So good we forgot to take s photo first.

I stumbled upon this little gem on my way to Radicci's Italian restaurant (on the same block). What an unexpected treat! The pastries all looked great, but i was there to check out the croissants: i ordered a chocolate pistachio, and a currants & raisin. Expertly laminated, these croissants were some of the best I've ever had - wonderfully crispy, and the fillings were perfect (not too sweet). The biggest surprise was that they have Kouign Amann pastries, a specialty of the French Breton region I've been looking for in CA, WA, and ID. I was floored to find out that he had made a batch earlier in the day. If you've never had Kouign Amann (pronounced like Steve Mc"Queen amon") pastries, you need to: butter, sugar, flour, pretty much all that they're about. But when they're done expertly - like they are at B.Boulangerie, they're an amazing treat for breakfast, lunch. dinner, dessert, whatever you want. Trest yourself to one of the amazing pastries at this place. I know I'll be going back!

B Boulangerie is a terrific new bakery at 8214 N Government Way in Hayden. Their meat pies, croissants, tiramisu and macarons are irresistible. The meat pie I had was hot right out of the oven and so tasty. They close at 3 pm. Here are a few photos. The owners are such good bakers.

This Boulangerie is a jewel box of a place very chic and has a European flair to it. The baked goods case drew a "wow! "From me when I saw the enormous croissants many of them filled with raspberry or chocolate, other delicious filling some plain, the Macarons looked absolutely gorgeous, the tiramisu, delightful, and on, and on my favorite being a raisin pastry, much like a traditional snail pastry as my mother used to call them. But it was out of this world! My daughter and I had walked there from our neighborhood just up the hill and were pleasantly surprised and ordered Five items two to eat there with a delicious cup of Evans Brothers coffee and real cream served to us in porcelain pitcher with any sort of sweetener that we wanted I chose Stevia. All we could say was how delicious and yummy everything was, and I laughed when I saw a customer walk in with her daughter walk up to the glass case and she said "wow!" That's the kind of response you get when you come into this bakery. The husband and wife owners are delightful and have an extensive background in culinary foods with the husband having studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Portland and his wife being an expert pastry chef with many years of experience. They're both very friendly And have such a wonderful attitude towards their lovely business. Pricing is very reasonable and you will want to take some of these delicious treats home. I went back a second time and I have discovered a new favorite spot to bring friends to, spread the word. It's a delightful place. We also tried the meat pies and they were quite large so we ate 1/2 one day saved it the other half for the next day and wow you really get your moneys worth and it's so healthy and delicious and fresh. You will absolutely love it. What more can I say! You have to try this place as soon as possible!

Wow!!! This place is a gem!!! And right here in Hayden, Idaho!! I have had a lifetime love affair with a true French croissant, and it with great pleasure I can announce that B.Boulangerie does great honor to the croissant. The croissants are perfect! The Canales are as good as they can get, and be sure to try the Kouigne Annans!! Also, the folks there were so friendly. Go now before everyone knows about them because they will soon have a line out their doors!!!

Always a great place to stop for a sweet treat. We were recently craving cupcakes so we walked in…read moreand selected 4 different kinds to take home. All were delicious! And the staff was very kind and friendly.

I'm not usually one to blast a business online or complain about customer service, but this one…read morereally missed the mark. Last Tuesday, I called Lilac City Bakery to order a custom Minecraft-themed cake for Paxton's 8th birthday. We talked through everything--flavor, size, layers, filling, and most importantly, the design. I specifically asked for the Minecraft "block" look, and she mentioned adding green grass edging to an 8-inch round cake. I also requested it say "Happy 8th Birthday Paxton." Total cost: $167. Fast forward to Saturday pickup... and it was just a chocolate cake covered in green frosting. No blocks. No characters. Nothing that even remotely said "Minecraft." I shared my disappointment at the counter, and the solution was to add a few pre-cut fondant pieces on the spot. I reached out to management afterward, hoping for some understanding or resolution, and was told: "I do not find that we made any missteps in providing a custom, hand crafted cake which aligns with the theme." and "hope you enjoyed the cake over all, as it was very well done". However I completely disagree. So I'm genuinely asking... are my expectations too high for a $170 custom cake? Because this felt like a pretty big miss.
