I came here with my boss for a quick work lunch, and we needed to be in and out pretty fast. It looked like the bartender was also serving the high-top tables, so it took a minute to get his attention, but once we ordered, everything moved quickly! I got the Caprese pesto sandwich, or at least I think that's what it was called, and wow. It was so good. I honestly could've eaten another one I've also been here before for dinner with friends and remember loving the pasta. Looking for a nice, if casual, Italian restaurant for a nice dinner with the wife and calling back to a recent trip we made to Italy. North Italia looked like it fit the bill. There were bright elements in our visit, but overall, I was disappointed. FOOD & DRINK: We ordered a couple of cocktails. The S'mores seasonal cocktail was mostly about sweetness (a not uncommon thing here). My Diabolo cocktail had what might have been a pleasant, lightweight fruit flavor, but that was overwhelmed by Calabrian chilis (which also threatened to overwhelm the apps). Both more or less matched the description on the menu, but the execution was underwhelming. I later had a glass of Chianti, which was nice. We had some Cacio e Pepe Arancini, which did not remind me at all of Cacio e Pepe, and were sort of gooey, though the pesto aioli was a nice touch. We split a Caesar salad which was a good idea because (a) it was huge and (b) it was the tastiest thing we had -- an excellent, garlicky dressing, with a good blend of lettuce, parmesan, and house croutons. My lasagna came in a little metal baking bowl that, duh, it was baked in. It looked very nice, and was a generous proportion, but it made actually cutting up and eating bites of the lasagna a bit awkward. The savory of the sauce in the lasagna was mostly swamped by the sweetness of the ricotta mixture. My wife had Short Rib sauce on Lumache pasta. It was tasty, but not as flavorful as the short ribs or the rest of the menu description hinted. That was an overall flaw of most of what we had -- interesting-sounding items that seemed to have the flavor turned down to 3. For dessert, the salted caramel Budino was fine but too sweet. That also described the Tiramisu. The coffee was good. SERVICE: Though it took a couple of minutes for them to decide on a table for us (though we had reservations and were there on the dot), everything else about the service was outstanding -- our waitress when we needed her, not there when we didn't, and overall very friendly and pleasant. Bravo. AMBIANCE: The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The chairs were surprisingly comfortable and nicely narrow in profile (though wide enough for comfort) so that moving them around and maneuvering past them wasn't a problem. Biggest issue here was that, at 5:45 and for the duration of our meal, the noise level was such that my wife and I could hardly hear each other over the table we were at. Most of the noise, though not all of it, was Happy Hour folk in the bar, and North Italia clearly does a land office business with that cohort. For me, I'd make a point to dine later, if that fit the rest of the plans for the evening. NET-NET: Being in Cherry Creek, parking is always an issue. The adjoining hotel gave us valet service for $14, which was worth it for the convenience. Not counting that valet, or tip, the tab worked out to about $90 each for the two of us which on the one hand I would expect for a higher-end restaurant in the area, but on the other hand seemed a bit steeper than the food experience we'd had. I wouldn't turn down an invitation from a friend to dine at North Italia again -- it wasn't a *bad* meal -- but I wouldn't recommend to a friend as a place to eat. There are a lot of great restaurants, even just in the Cherry Creek area, and I'd rather try (or revisit) one of those, given a preference. read more

We've walked past North Italia so many times while shopping in Cherry Creek, so when friends suggested dinner there, we finally gave it a try--and it didn't disappoint. Saturday night was packed, so having a 6:30 reservation definitely helped. They were running about 5-10 minutes behind, but nothing unreasonable given how busy it was. Our server walked us through the specials and menu updates, which was helpful. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with a Caesar salad. The salad was a generous portion--cold, crisp, with just the right amount of dressing and buttery garlic croutons. The chicken parm was excellent: perfectly cooked, great breading, flavorful sauce, and a nice side of pasta. Honestly, better than I can make at home. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals (even if I can't remember exactly what they ordered!), and we wrapped things up with the brownie sundae--which was huge and easily shareable between two people. This is Denver Restaurant Week, which might explain the quality issues. The zucca chips were perfect and delicious. The calamari appetizer was cold and too salty, the side veggies were extremely spicy, the eggplant parmigiana appetizer was cold and of poor quality, and the Aperol Spritz was terrific but contained a lot of ice, so the drink was small. My bill was $90 with tip. The service was good, and we had a great table away from the highest level of noise. Parking took over 20 minutes and was $16 for 2 hours. I LOVE the Fox Concepts Restaurants!!! Once a particular concept, in this case, North Italia, is sold to the Cheesecake Factory, it goes downhill. It is strong in truffle as expected, so if that's not your thing don't get it! Brussels were cooked perfectly. A friend and I were at the Christmas market and looking for a place to enjoy a dinner and chat. I had read reviews but never been here before. We arrived early and were sat by a patio window ( great street views) our server was attentive and friendly with some suggestions we had a butternut squash soup and a huge market salad and we split a special pizza that was so delicious. We also ordered "white elephant gift" mocktails- these were a hit! The restaurant has lots of tables! And it was a tight squeeze when more diners were seated, so when we left it was packed and there were not a lot of tables to sit at - good / bad hard to squeeze by. Though I've been tempted, I haven't repeated a dish here (well, except for the 'simple salad' which is much more complex than you might think). Arancini - creamy and deliciously peppery. Bread - fluffy and crusty, excellent oil & vinegar. Simple salad - pine nuts, bleu cheese, tomatoes, romaine. Excellent. Today I also got the shrimp scampi off the lunch menu - really tasty! The bolognese is exceptionally traditional. Today, we went for lunch with my in-laws and the food was taking a while... we were approached by a man with some meatballs. Before we could say "we didn't order these", he said the kitchen was backed up and or food was taking longer than it should have, but he wanted to get something in front of us. That was thoughtful and the meatballs are so tender! What could have been a frustrating interaction was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert. GREAT FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE IN DENVER ========================================== I made a reservation for a big group of ten on August 3, 2025 for dinner at this restaurant in Denver. My husband and I were on a road trip and on our way to Indianapolis. Denver was a great spot to stop considering I have a bunch of cousins there. I arranged with my cousins a few weeks before on the date and a few days before we decided on the restaurant. I am so glad my cousin recommended this restaurant. Everything was great from beginning to end except it is very loud inside and it was difficult to talk to my whole group. If you have a group of six or less this place is great. My husband and I were at one end, so we ended up getting up a couple times to go down and talk to our family members at the other end. FOOD: We absolutely loved the crispy eggplant parmesan small plates and ordered at least four of those to share with the table. The bruschetta was good. My husband isn't a prosciutto fan, so we told them to hold that. My husband and I shared a margherita pizza and little gem caesar salad and that was great. Everyone one else loved their dinners. NOTE: Apparently it's a chain, but I had never been to one before. They have restaurants in Canoga Park, Cerritos, Santa Monica, El Segundo, Torrance, Irvine , San Diego and many other places. I love north Italia! Every single dish here is always so good. My favorites are always the beef carpaccio and strozzapreti. This bustling spot is absolutely wonderful! Reservations are a must as it is certainly a popular destination and I certainly know why! It's chic and modern, clean and well kept. The service is impeccable throughout, the food is most definitely created with skill but also you can just tell that attention and devotion is put into every dish. We started with the white truffle bread which was otherworldly. Next was the meatballs which were succulent and perfectly drowning in a delicious sauce and accompanied by polenta which was a nice additional touch. The Caesar salad was beautifully dressed and you can tell that they use quality Italian cheeses which become the silent star of most of their dishes. The homemade pasta was perfectly at dente and both dishes we ordered were exceptional. My husband had the bolognese and I had the rigatoni with vodka sauce. We both preferred the spicy kick of my sauce. The portions are huge so we left with plenty to take with us but being a retired pastry chef I had to take some dessert to go cuz no meal is complete without a sweet at the end but I was simply too full to have another bite at the time. At the end of our evening we enjoyed the tiramisu and the olive oil cake and honestly both were lovely. I think I might lean a little more toward the olive oil cake which had a beautiful commingling of tart and sweet and herbal qualities. This is a solid upscale Italian restaurant chain. We came here for a function and had the private room in the back. The backroom has a monitor so it would suite anyone looking to have a group lunch/dinner conference. (Note: there's a minimum spend for this room) The servers were professional and friendly; it's good to have them recommend things on the menu. The kale salad was a meal on its own: apples, cheese, kale, cranberries, with a tangy sauce. So good! ($16) For pasta we tried the spicy squid ink tonnarelli ($25) I think we can leave out the hotness and just go with the regular tomato sauce. It had shrimp, squid, and the pasta was al dente. They have a good selection of pasta dishes at a reasonable price. We tried their scallops dish ($36). Scallops came on a bed of corn risotto. It was creamy and good. Came here for restaurant week. This is one busy and very loud place. Even with a reservation, we had to wait a few minutes for a table to open at 5:30pm. Once seated, we listened to our server as she explained the offerings. Fresh pasta -- made in house daily. I'm impressed. ...and then her favorite dishes on the current menu. So we settled on dinner. The arugula, avocado and grana salad was large, fresh and a perfect start. The burrata was fresh, presented beautiful and delicious. What seemed strange was that neither starter came with bread or crostini. First time to have burrata without that. Then we observed other tables around us and we figured it out -- Bread is a separate order -- an upcharge. Live and learn.Gla The braised beef rib was tender, savory and rich. Also a huge portion. The rigatoni was filled with sausage and pancetta Delicious, but so much we took a box home and had enough lunch the next day. Budino was sweet. Good Italian wine list -- with a fairly high markup. Full-service bar. Parking is a nightmare in Cherry Creek, even on a weekend. The dining room is LOUD - so loud it is nearly impossible to talk to your dinner partner. Glad we tried North Italia. I was there last night Friday. When I called to make reservations they had nothing available. When we walked in we had choice of tables. Our waitress Amelia was not too good. Once we received our food she did not come by once to check on us. She filled water glasses for 3 tables around us, they all included men. My table was just 2 Ladies. Not much of experience here they told us it was too busy, inside to seat two and then we would have to sit outside, even though it had just rained, and all the tables were soaked and covered in wet leaves. There was no one else outside and assumed any service if at all would be sparse. Then after they made us stand outside, wait for a server, they seated another two top right behind us. I was pretty pissed off and luckily, I was in a good mood as I was on vacation and didn't throw a fit, but I don't know if it was because I wasn't dressed up nice enough even though I planned to spend probably close to $500 on lunch and drinks, but I definitely feel like I got profiled. We came here to celebrate our friends engagement!!! We were so excited to try this place, but ended up having a disappointing experience. The restaurant is in a pretty pricey area and the pricing on the menu reflect that. It is insane how much everything cost. Even their happy hour pricing is not impressive. The food portions are small and the taste is nothing impressive or over the top. It definitely is not worth the money. The environment is just like any other restaurant. It is a bit loud and just feels like a casual spot. The server we had was great though. They were extremely attentive and kind. I have a lot to say about the squid ink pasta that I had it wasn't that it wasn't good. It's just an odd pairing with the spicy marinara. You would think if you're going to have something as niche as squid ink pasta you would give it the ingredients to highlight it, but it completely gets blown out of the water by the spice. It to me seems like a really rookie mistake or they know that already and they don't care because squid in to most people sounds interesting enough. read more

Was in Denver visiting family and wanted some dinner before visiting Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo and had the pleasure of experiencing North Italia. What a great place located near the Cherry Creek Mall and have to tell you this place rocks! Great atmosphere with a wonderful staff, we started with the calamari and zucchini chips for the table along with some glasses of the supergiant which was superb. The Tuscan salad was incredible followed by our dishes, I enjoyed the Tonarelli which was incredible. The rest of the dishes were just as delicious with no complaints from our table. We selected North Italia from numerous Italian restaurants in town for a pre-concert meal before the Rolling Stones show. With a reservation, we were promptly seated. However, our waitress took a while to attend to us, which was unexpected given the restaurant had many empty tables. After ordering we engaged in a conversation with a charming young couple seated right next to us, though I prefer more space between tables. Soon, the restaurant filled with couples wearing Rolling Stones concert shirts, which puzzled me until I learned they were devoted fans following the band nationwide. Our meal arrived, and the Simple Salad and Bolognese were delightful. Upon reviewing the bill, I noticed an incorrect charge, for a drink I didn't order, a mistake I regret not addressing at the time but caution others to scrutinize their bills carefully. read more

To start off, our server was really nice and on top of it. However the food was not up to par. Our group made an 8:30pm reservation at North Italia and wow, they were still super busy at that time (on a Friday night!... I don't get out much, ha!). North Italia is so good! It doesn't feel like a chain -- it feels quaint and intimate. The first time I went it seemed a little pricy but it's so worth it. They usually are booked and jam packed so we try to go for lunch or early like 5pm. They also sometimes have really good deals where you can get an appetizer and entree for like $35. Love their little gem ceasar more than salads from anywhere else. Love the pastas and meatballs. The wine selection is great and so is the service!! Definitely recommend!! read more

the prices here are a little ridiculous if i'm being honest... typical cherry creek. i think the food is enjoyable, but it's not special. the one dish that really impressed me was the white truffle garlic bread. that cheese is chef's kiss. i came here with friends for a birthday celebration, and although our server was timely, accurate, and helpful, we got seated at the worst table in the restaurant. it was located just parallel to the front door basically, and we could all feel the cold winter air flowing in as others entered. also, i don't like the chairs. i know that sounds silly, but i had no where to hang my purse. the top edges are round, and there are no hooks under the table. annoying. read more
