This bar is located atop the Halcyon hotel in Cherry Creek and overlooks the Rocky Mountains. The atmosphere is fun and trendy, with plenty of seating and shade. The mist offers a welcome relief from the summer heat. The pool area is separate, which makes me wonder why they serve drinks in plastic. If you are beer drinker, you might be disappointed with the very limited selection, while the wine list is better. We visited on a hot day, perfect for a frozen cocktail. I had the Toucan with Camp Viejo Rose, Elderflower, and Absinthe. It wasn't strong at all, but perfectly refreshing. We enjoyed our drinks, snacking on fries and admiring the views, while the mist deliciously caressed our backs. read more

This was a great rooftop happy hour place. My friend got there early and she said the server was really helpful trying to help her find a spot to sit for four of us. I felt like the service was really attentive. We did have our hearts set on one of the appetizers, but they were out of that. We ended up with a pizza and did enjoy that and our drinks. read more

Had been meaning to scope out Rare Bird for a hot minute and ended up checking it off the list during their launch party/pig roast, which was rad! There was a variety of food, all of which was amazing, and a lot of fun entertainment throughout the evening. Staff did a great job given how bumping it was and the cocktails were yummy. The view though... That's the real cherry on top. Stunning with a lot of different seating options. I personally loved the swing chairs. Really looking forward to coming during one of their movie nights. * Zero Proof Review: No options, which is very disappointing for a place with such cool cocktails and vibe. The views from the roof top are amazing! There is definitely a 360 view of Denver in a great location. The service has always been super friendly with a very trendy vibe. Very young professional atmosphere for sure but trendy on the weekends. The drinks are fun but just okay. They were not balanced and made more trendy than delicious. Some of them were too sweet and others lack depth. However, this place is still very fun. read more

We had a great experience at Rare Bird! We arrived on a Saturday night close to closing so there was plenty of seating. We didn't feel rushed and the bartender was amazing! He was creating a new drink for their menu and let us sample it. He was a very creative, talented mixologist dedicated to making excellent drinks and providing excellent customer service. He let us know he spent much of the day grinding down hibiscus flowers with sugar to make the rim of his new cocktail. The ambiance is great as well and you get good views of the mountains and downtown Denver. read more

Views are amazing but the poor service makes Rare Bird an easy pass. You'd think a newer luxury hotel would be at least make some an effort to provide ok service but for the premium pricing there are a lot more places and rooftops in area that I'd easily recommend going to. The bartenders were far more Interested in socializing than attending to the small crowd they had today. Pretty disappointed to be honest. read more

Favorite summer spot in Cherry Creek! Rare Bird enhanced their ambiance with new pergola, swings and decorations making for a beautiful setting as you sip delicious cocktails. My current favorite is the Honey Bee because I love bourbon and that crazy buzz button tingle. If you are looking for an N/A option definitely try the Cactus Wren. My husband and I have gone to Rare Bird a few times. We have hung by the pool as well as sat at the bar. The food, drinks and service have been amazing each time we have gone. Skye always goes out of her way to make excellent recommendations and make sure her guests have the best experience possible. This is our new favorite spot to hang out! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon so you'd think it would be packed. Sat at the bar. Misters above the bar were dripping all over the stools so bad to move around cushions to find a dry one. And then got dripped on as we sat. Had 2 of the same cocktail that were good (pineapple rum and coconut water and something else). I think they were $17 each which is too expensive. Ordered spiced nuts and elote corn. Bartender talked us out if spending $18 on 4 wings thankfully. Nuts weren't fresh and weren't spiced at all. Elote corn was good but served on the cob and hard to share. Wish the menu would have said that. Service was fine but slow. Not worth it. read more

I went here a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend and a couple of my friends! It was SO much fun! I couldn't recommend this place enough! We ordered the chips and salsa and it was so yummy! The drinks are also not unreasonably priced for denver. Our server Skye was also absolutely amazing! She was so attentive and sweet! Came here on a Friday mid day. The place was really cute, great view. The food and drinks are terrible. I had the sangria which tasted like sweet and sour cheap margarita with white wine. My husband had something similar to an espresso martini house special drink, more like old coffee with a splash of vodka. The last 3 times I've gone, the fries were very brown on the outside but not overcooked, indicating the oil was old and needed to be changed, this gives them an off flavor that's not good. When done right, their fries are fantastic, however this is a regular issue now. Also, they changed their burger in the past year, something I used to order a bunch, but not at all anymore. It used to be a grass fed patty and now they call this a wagyu blend, but it's awful and tasteless compared to the old one. Additionally, their wings (for some reason only when getting to-go) are either way over sauced, sitting in a pool of sauce and thus get soggy or they're under-sauced. The issue with the oil is really what gets me though. I'm guessing they're dragging it out longer before changing it to save money, but they're doing it at the cost of quality and now they've lost a regular customer. I may revisit next year, but not anytime soon. Employees are relatively friendly and service is ok, ambience is typical of a wing joint.

Right next door is Right Cream so you can enjoy ice cream after your beers and food.

When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

After a fine meal at Quality Italian, we by mistake (pressed the elevator button letter "R") arrived at the rooftop experience, Rare Bird. I wanted to point out the simply stunning ambience you are welcomed by when those elevator doors open. But even more impressive was the level of attentive service and care given by one particular staff member / bartender and I wanted to signify him directly by name because he was absolutely the epitome of excellent concierge level hospitality service. His name is Joan (yohan) H. He provided not only exemplary service, but quite honestly, was precisely what you want as a staff member of a restaurant or hotel. He went above and beyond to make sure that our party was completely cared for and ended almost every interaction with "it is my pleasure, whatever I can do" Joan clearly understood the assignment - I am not sure if he studied hospitality or hotel management in school, but it definitely shines through in his attentive care, his professional, yet charming and fun demeanor, and his overall level of expertise in the customer experience. I hope that his upper management gets a chance to read this review because it also shines through on their performance as well and in my estimation, a good team is a representation of solid leadership and training. I've even met folks here to get work done. The wine selection is great. I recommend the flights as they have a variety with generous pours. The house-seasoned crackers that are on the charcuterie board are addictive. Service is friendly and welcoming. Here, there is always room for friends.

We really enjoyed our time here. I wish the happy hour is from 4 to 7 but I could wait an hour. Overall so happy they have an happy hour menu and definitely highly recommend to support local!
