    Fries and Caesar salad (1/.5)

Girl dinner ... just fries and salad! It would be that simple. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and good service.

We had late reservations so a part of this relatively mediocre experience could be attributed to that. The food is good, not necessarily great--decent portions, above average taste. The lamb shanks, kale salad, and burger were good (except for the cool fries). The server was nice, but seemed annoyed by questions, possibly because we asked quite a few and it was late. So if the food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was good, why 3 stars??? Because at the prices for the meal, the food should have been awesome and the service friendly and helpful. If you're staying at the Halycon and want a decent meal at a heavy price, it's a good enough spot. But just that.

Been here twice for brunch with the girls, and both times were amazing! I've tried the Croque Madame and the Short Rib Hash. Both were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The crispy, potatoey potatoes deserve their own shoutout. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love that they have a live DJ on Sundays, it's such a vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is beautifully decorated and perfect for bigger groups or celebrations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bathroom is located on the lower floor (just a heads-up). Plenty of street parking nearby, both free and paid. Service was lovely. It was super friendly and attentive from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite brunch spots in town!

The service was great and the drinks were strong. Best espresso martini everrr!! Everyone enjoyed their food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They could have turned up the volume on the music to drown out all the baby screaming and the tables were wobbly but otherwise, a good time was had by all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is rough but there is valet. Make sure you pay in the app if you park on the street. Cherry creek does not play when it comes to their paid parking spots. The chicken spatzel wasn't very flavorful on its own and the sauce was incredibly rich with chunks of hard boiled egg in it. The breakfast burritos were large, could definitely be shared. The burger was fine - everything was alright - but not spectacular. A little salt would have helped every dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was a little over sold online and the menu appears to change frequently.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was attached to the hotel we were staying at so it was super convenient to go down there in the morning. I cannot believe how amazing the food was. We had fresh green juice, short rib hash, Croque Madame, and a cinnamon roll. Every bite was exceptional! The staff was wonderful.

Visiting Denver from the Bay Area, I wasn't sure what to expect from Local Jones in Cherry Creek besides pricey upscale food, but my partner and I ended up having a great experience. We stopped in around 6PM for a quick bite before a movie, and even though the dining room was quiet, the two servers on the floor were kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. We let them know right away that we were on a time crunch, and they didn't miss a beat--drinks, food, and check all came smoothly without ever feeling rushed. We decided to keep it light and share two dishes: the hamachi crudo and the Sunday special French dip. The hamachi crudo was exactly what I expected--small but fresh, with bright citrusy notes that made for a refreshing start. The French dip, on the other hand, surprised me. I've never had one before, but this was rich, meaty, and moist, with soft bread that held everything together perfectly. The kitchen even split the sandwich for us on separate plates, each with a generous portion of fries--a thoughtful touch that didn't go unnoticed. We were in and out in under an hour. Yes, it's a bit on the pricey side, but that's to be expected from the Cherry Creek dining experience, and honestly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the attentive service and upscale atmosphere made it feel worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For a spontaneous stop, this ended up being one of the highlights of our evening. I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in town.

Came in, dined alone at the bar indoors & the bartenders/servers were super accommodating and friendly to all guests at the bar. (: Helped me choose between things I was considering for food and constantly refilled my glass. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a chill, chic vibe; contemporary design, dark lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Salmon: 4.5/5, the salmon fillet tasted fresh and wasn't too salty which I usually have an issue with. It was complemented with blended couscous, apples, mangos and bacon. The bacon was a little too much for me, but it was all good and had a nice texture, taste and contrast. (I think it came within 10-15 mins but I wasn't keeping track) Cheesecake: 3/5, I was pretty full after the salmon but wanted some dessert so I got their cheesecake to go. It's too sweet for my liking, the hazelnut bites are great but it overall was too much for me. Arrived within 2-5 mins of ordering.

Best Caesar Salad IMHO almost ever! (And ever is a strong word). Here is my story! Looking for a place to eat before our concert we end up at Local Jones. Local Jones is located in the Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek. What a great choice. (Caesar Salad) We ordered a few dishes (Caesar Salad) which were all very tasty and served to perfection. The LJ Burger was great! My travel partner and I shared each dish and turns out to be a smart idea as portions were huge They dinner and breakfast menu is extensive and looked enticing and that said, you know I will go back.... We sat at the bar and our bartender/server was just the best. The bar area is partially opened to the outside / streetside... They do have a dining area inside which ( cannot comment on as I didn't dine in the dining room) Hah Hou

I came to Local Jones for breakfast and was very happy. It has all my favorites to fuel up my day. The sausage was delicious and they offered crusty bread, which is my absolute favorite type of bread, especially with a little butter and jam. The space is beautiful and comfortable. I really can't ask for anything more to start the day. Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Been in a couple of times over the last few weeks. Once in the bar for drinks and apps. Then most recently for the holiday tea. Let's start with the good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful. The vibe is upscale casual, very warm and homey, yet stylish and modern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I want to love this place. Both times the service left a lot to be desired, and the service does not match the price point. Service has been nice enough, but not attentive, intuitive, or at the level that it should be. Both times we had to get up and find someone to give our credit card, to pay the bill. The drink menu is great. The cocktails are elevated and creative. The food menu could have been better. The holiday tea was not great. I love a good tea experience and this was not it. For $70 a person, I expected more. We were given two tea options with the "first course" and two more tea options with the "second course." The food was mediocre at best, and sparse as well. Again, at $70 a person, the food should match the price point. We weren't given any spoons with our tea, ya know, to stir in the sugar and cream. Our server was no where to be found during most of our time. I might try this place again, but never for the holiday tea. There are so many other places that are on par with this type of experience.

Course 1 - Holiday Afternoon Tea
    Aryonna R.

I had the most delightful experience at Local Jones inside the Halcyon! [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment I walked in, the impeccable atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable afternoon tea with multiple delicious options like Lavender Earl Gray and Hibiscus Berry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The curated selection of teas paired perfectly with the scones, house-made pastries, and savory sandwiches. The menu is a true masterpiece! The Nicoise Potato Bites were bursting with flavor, the Ricotta Tartlet was a perfect balance of cream and zesty citrus, and the Mini Quiche with mushroom duxelle was pure indulgence. Don't forget to add one of their incredible Tea Cocktails! I highly recommend the Rose Bud Spritz--a vibrant and refreshing blend of Raspberry Liqueur, St. Germain, Grapefruit, Rose Water, and Moët Champagne. If you're looking to elevate your winter afternoons, this modern twist on the classic tea tradition is an absolute must. The food, the ambiance, and the service were all top-notch.

I appreciated being able to order grilled cheese and tomato soup for the kid, which was not on the menu. The Cobb salad and omelet were good, standard. The tyme drink was delicious. Service was kinda slow, but luckily we weren't in a rush.

Have been here several times for spring tea, lunch after the rooftop pool, and dinner. All are great options! They also do a holiday tea as well. Great ambiance and service most of the time. Definitely recommend

Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Nothing fancy on my end, a bloody mary, a shaken screwdriver. Not too strong or weak. Sounds simple, but a lot of bartenders can't consistently hit it! We all got eggs your way, simple stuff done well. The roasted fingerling potatoes were crispy outside, fluffy inside, super good!! The strawberry jam was giving homemade, but I didn't confirm. Overall, Ryan made the visit. Calm presence, good company, and there's nothing better than a brunch seat at his bar next to those big open windows!

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.

The pancake crumbled as soon as you put syrup and tried to pick it up. The best part was the chicken sausage, which was served hot and not too salty or oily. There is mainly street parking and we got lucky with a spot just down the street. The restaurant was already busy at 9am and had a long wait when we left. Testament to good restaurant and popular neighborhood. This is a brunch spot so come ready for breakfast and/or lunch grub. We were hungry and tried a bunch. The drip coffee & lattes were delicious (oat milk is available) and come in cute animal cups. We started with 2 of the sausage rolls which are akin to pigs in a blanket but much higher quality sausage in puff pastry served with syrup. Very good but nothing extraordinary. The small bite star is the spicy egg salad on crispy potato. These are divine with just enough spice to balance the creamy egg salad and insanely crunchy and delicious fried potato (like crispy rice but potato) We also shared a muffin of the day which rotates flavors. This is a sandwich to have extra napkins for. I'd 100% recommend it. The avocado toast was tasty and came with poached eggs (you can order one or two). Great food, service and vibes. Note there is a 20% service charge that is separate from tip, Our server did explain it when we first sat down so it wasn't hidden.
