Today I arrived for an appointment I scheduled months ago for my daughter. Upon arrival I checked in and they said I had no appointment, that they had tried to reach me but failing to do that they cancelled my daughter's appointment. I said I called at 9:00 on Oct 7th, 11 days ago to confirm the appointment and they did confirm it was for the time I had scheduled. Eleven days later I arrived and they said they could not see this call however my phone shows that the call lasted 2:30 min on Oct 7th. I had never consented to reschedule or cancel. They said they could reschedule but I told them I took my daughter out of school and 2 hours out of my day to be at the appointment I scheduled months ago. They again said they tried to call but were unable to reach me. I see no such call listed on my phone and, did I mention I called them and confirmed 11 days prior? This isn't even the first time they did this. They cancelled another appointment without my consent last summer. I've been a patient for less than a year and they did this twice? I've never had a dentist arbitrarily cancel your appointment without consent. Additionally, I called on 9/17 at noon to confirm the appointment. Nobody answered the phone. I left a message and nobody returned the call. Tried again on 9/19 at 6:33 AM. Left a message. No return call Tried again on 9/19 at 9.43 AM. Nobody answered the phone. Left a message. No return call Prior to this, I have driven 30 minutes to ask a question that took seconds to answer because nobody answers the phone and nobody returns a call. Again, I haven't even been a patient there for a year and have never seen such disregard for they patients time. \ Additionally, I was prescribed a procedure that cost me $3000. A friend of mine who goes there said they charged him over $10,000 for the work they did. Recently I red a review of another person that said they have a tendency to charge exorbitant fees for services and this seems to be confirmed by my own experience. Go somewhere else. read more

I find it very hard to believe that service would be denied to me because of something that wasn't billed to my insurance. My children have always been covered under their father's insurance, this has been the same for 7 years now, preventative care is covered at 100% under his insurance, there should be no problem. It turns out $89 was not paid by their father for something. Again, it his insurance, I wouldn't have access to his job information, his insurance information or the bill for the $89 measly dollars. I called to make an appointment for myself under my insurance, I've never had my children under my insurance because their dad's insurance is better than mine. North Orange has always been in-network for both my insurance and their dad's insurance, never had a problem. I'm not taking away from the fact that $89 is owed but I never saw a bill because I don't live at the same address and it's not my insurance! I am being denied service for his lack of paying $89. I don't see the logic and am truly upset at how the one time a bill doesn't get paid, a bill that I would never see because it's not my insurance or my address, I am being denied service. And to top it off, the only solution North Orange provided is for me to call their dad's insurance, as if I have the authorization to call on his account. Make it make sense. I do not recommend this practice. I brought my entire dental history records to this office when moving to Columbus. My dentist was retiring and closing his practice so these records were originals. Because of several mistakes in this office, I decided to change dentists. I was told my records were shredded. I picked up a dental record from them that was three pages of their care. I was given records of their care only. I was told my original records were destroyed. These records included MRI imaging documenting a birth defect, I was also given the records of a stranger. His first name is the same as my husbands. This was a gross violation of HIPPA laws. No apologies acknowledging any of their errors just excuses and rudeness. read more

A year and a half ago I had two teeth permanently installed after two weeks. One tooth became loose and they had to tighten it now it's a year and a half and the same tooth is now loose and I had to re-tighten it. They didn't cover me for that and I had to pay out my pocket I thought when the tooth was installed permanently it last longer than a year and a half The staff was great and the appointment was quick. read more

I have been coming here for years and always liked dental experience. However, that is no longer the case. I came in earlier in year and they told me I needed a dental crown and gave me a written quote for $1100 that was supposed to be good until December 2025. Dentist stated that there was no rush on crown so I called in September and made appointment. They called me back and needed to reschedule for October 13. I did check in at dentist. Go back and get crown place. Come up to check out and lady says $2200!! I said what, that's not right, they quoted me $1100 and never told me different amount. She just said I'm sorry didn't anyone tell you that we are no longer in network for your health insurance? No, if they had I wouldn't be here!! She then off to split it up but I only have 3 months to pay. Seriously this is insane that you quoted me a different amount and then don't tell me prior to procedure that you are doubling cost!! read more

I have been coming here for years and always liked dental experience. However, that changed when I came in for a cleaning and they told me I have Periodontal disease and needed a $1600 treatment. I advised I couldn't do it right now and wanted a typical cleaning. They REFUSED to do a normal cleaning and said that it was required. Keep in mind Periodontal disease is not life threatening, it only costs more to put things off. So now they refuse to do anything unless they get their procedure done. They are so focused on extra services now, it's not worth the hassle. When I advised that I would choose another office, they advised that I need to do what's right for me. (WTF?) They will only do things that give them more money and then tell you do it or leave. If I could give negative stars.. I would. read more

The staff was very welcoming, well-educated on any questions I could possibly have, and made the whole experience as comfortable as possible. This is a way overdue review. I cannot say enough good things about North Orange Family Dentistry and Dr. Hall. 1) The practice has state of the art equipment 2) the waiting room is comfortable and up to date with electronic access 3) employees are fantastic and friendly 4) Dr. Hall is the best!!! He changed his schedule or stayed late to take care of my needs multiple times. He knew I was leaving town and managed to get me in before I left to finalize my implant. I was so grateful to not have to deal with a missing tooth while on vacation. He walked me through the whole process in detail multiple times to reassure me it was going well and what each step would be. I know I peppered him with questions and he was always kind and patient with me. If you are looking for a new dentist, give North Orange and Dr. Hall a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

Office experience- I scheduled for tooth pain for an appointment 3 days out. They sent me a text and because I didn't respond to the text with a "Y" to confirm the appointment until after 5pm on a Friday for an appointment I made for tooth pain just days before they canceled the appointment I called them just days before to set. I spoke to the unapologetic office manager that spoke office policy to me rather than offer an apology or attempting to resolve the issue. She said "statistics show if you don't respond to the text then you won't show up." Dr Hall was cool when I voiced my concerns to him at the office. Wouldn't recommend though. They used to operate as a family dentistry when I first started there years ago however they have changed gears and seem to be more comfortable with policy than people. read more

I drive up from about 45 minutes away to come here. I've seen several different doctors during my check-ups and had no complaints. I got to check in on my phone (no physical paperwork) and it looks like kids get a token for a prize after a visit. I've had suggestions provided but never felt pressured (fluoride treatment, whitening- which I asked about). I had one filling a couple years ago and never had any issues with it. I'll continue to come as I have for the last eight or nine years after another perfect visit today. read more

I am a current patient who called to be seen because I was in excruciating pain. The doctor reviewed my statement (that they called a 'virual consult') and confirmed that i was in pain and they could see me in a week. They then billed me almost $200 for the "visit". I proceeded that day to find an emergency dentist, who found that my tooth was cracked, sent me to an endodontist, where I had a root canal done two hours later. This office is unprofessional and unethical in charging me for a one minute email, where the doctor did absolutely NOTHING for me but confirm since I was in pain they could make an exception to the COVID restrictions. Even then, it was a week out. read more

I went in for my first visit since moving here due to military relocation in December 2018. After x-rays were taken, they determined that my root canal that was done elsewhere needed to be retreated as it was infected and had an abscess. They sent me to an endodontist that got me in rather quickly and performed the job. I paid $900 to the endodontist for my retreatment and he specifically did it a certain way so the crown wouldn't have to be redone. They sent back the x-rays to the dentist and dentist still says crown needs to be taken out because it is also infected and has bacterial growth. Now this dentist wants $400. Get my mail today and I have a bill for the endodontist for $250! North Orange Family Dentistry decided to not give a crap about in network and out of network endodontists and just sent me to one that they have a relationship with. So now because of their ignorance, I have to shell out another $250! That should be a number 1 rule that when sending out referrals, first ask if they want to stay in network or if it's okay to go out of network. They NEVER asked me. They took advantage of the fact that I was new to the area and wasn't familiar with anyone or anything. The only way to make this right is for them to pay the bill because they sent me to an out of network endodontist. Their laziness and complete lack of competence of in network and out of network shouldn't fall back on me. If they had asked me whether I was okay with an out of network endodontist, then that would be another story, but they NEVER did. I am not made of money and have will now have to come out of pocket $1550 for a root canal I paid $1000 for 5 years ago somewhere else. Kayla called me back (who is by far the rudest person I've ever come across in the dental practices) and kept saying the same thing that she apologizes and they do "their best" to send people to in network specialists but sometimes don't. That is the biggest joke. So sometimes they do their job and sometimes they don't. After multiple times of saying the same thing and going back and forth, the decided to hang up on me when I asked her for the first initial of her last name to give to the lawyers. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I have already brought this to the attention of my insurance company. This is a very kid friendly practice. We were very worried about our 4 year olds initiation into dental visits. Glad to say that the first two visits have gone real smooth and our daughter seems very comfortable in their care. Dr. Bogan and the entire team do just great trying to keep my kid comfortable. Apart from the staff, the ambiance of the office is great and all equipment looks new and state of the art. The practice is open on Saturdays too which is a welcome bonus. read more

He explained the procedures I needed in a clear, professional manner with a timeline for completing the work. He and his team delivered in a professional, friendly and timely manner that exceeds my expectations. I went I for a visit and asked for a specific quote on getting a crown put in. They called me back in a few days after reviewing with my insurance and I was given a quote. I went in and got the crown put in and paid the price in February of 2017. I got a supplemental bill in September 2017 (7 months later) saying that I needed to pay 20% on top of the previous price because my insurance only covers a metallic filling. This is something that should have been caught when I was given the quote. If I knew this was going to be their price I would have gone elsewhere. The sad thing is that we just got dental insurance back again and you have now lost 3 guaranteed clients due to either an incompetent person working with insurance or you are playing dirty pool. I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go to North Orange Dental. There is no excuse. read more
