Service at the bar can be hit or miss. This time around our first bartender was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, someone else took over for her and we never got another refill on soda or even asked if I wanted another beer... They simply just came and took our glasses away without even asking mid-show. If you wanna get something to eat, I recommend you get to the venue by seven or 730 at the latest for 8 PM shows so that you don't have to wait so long for your food to arrive. There was a slightly damp smell in the hallway, I wonder if that could be from the indoor pool. In any case the room had no odor and was perfect for my overnight visit. The breakfast buffet was nice, scrambled eggs, bacon, quiche, oatmeal, a variety of breads, cereals, and yogurts. The coffee machines were hot and full all day and night. Outlets/USBs are scarce, the bathrooms show their age (tired grout/fixtures), and the overall vibe is musty and tired--not the clean, crisp feel you expect from Courtyard. Staff were pleasant and the location is convenient with easy parking, but that can't make up for rooms that no longer meet Marriott standards. At current rates, the value just isn't there until a top-to-bottom refresh happens. I'd happily return after a renovation; until then, I'll stay at the Marriott next door.
