Their workmanship was high quality, their job sites were kept neat, and they consistently managed each project with care. 1. They rebuilt our basement stairs to make them easier and safer to use. The work was beautifully done, and they even modified the floor joists to create better headroom. The area was left super neat and clean. 2. They repaired a section of our basement drywall after a leak had been fixed. The repair work looked great, and I chose to do the painting myself. They also protected the new stairs and basement rug with plastic so nothing would get dirty. 3. They replaced the cedar shake roof on our rose arbor swing with new cedar shingles. They were careful not to damage the plants and used stepladders to avoid stepping on the ground around them. We hired DH Concrete for a 28x10 patio in Sept 2020. We debated between plain cement finish and Gull Gray, while he advised about the Gull Gray finish and the much more polished look it would provide. We agreed to his $400 additional fee for the GG finish (this was just for the color, the project itself was much more). WITHIN ONE WEEK of the work completion, and only 1 minor rainfall, the patio looked horrible and is what you see in the first few pictures. After several calls/texts to Javier, he came to see the unpolished and splotchy finish. He then came back with a rep, Bill, from Welch Brothers (one of his vendors) and one of his DH employees. Bill advised us that there had to be a chemical applied to the concrete as the color was underneath the existing layer but suggested the chemical not be applied until May of this year. Javier agreed that this was something he would handle and all agreed that the work was not adequate. We were frustrated that we had a bad looking patio but we appreciated that they agreed that the patio looked bad and some steps would need to be taken on their part to get the results we contracted DH for originally. We agreed to wait until May of this year, and trust Javier De Hoyos to fulfill his contract and agreement. My husband reached out to Javier in May to confirm details and we have several texts whereby Javier confirms the chemical was ordered, the chemical was ready, and that he'd be coming over soon. Long story - he never intended to finish his job. Up until last week, he replied to our text and stated he'd be here on a Friday, and when Friday came, I texted him and he said he was not coming by- that the work was not needed over "manchas" ("stains" in Spanish) . He also said he never said he was coming by - which makes me question if something else is going on since days before he himself texted confirming the date he was coming. I tried to make sure I understood what he was saying, and called but he ignored my 2 calls and voice message. The finish looks amateur and cheap (and we can assure you, his fee was not cheap). Javier De Hoyos is unprofessional, and as far as his work - well these pictures speak for themselves. I am still reviewing my other options - at the very least he can refund our "upgrade" fee for the GG finish. Something to mention, I became focused with my mom's deteriorating health in May and June and did not reach out to him to request he get the job completed with a specific date (although my husband would send texts requesting status on the chemical order) - and looking back I think Javier was hoping we'd forget about everything. Well, my mom passed away in June, and after handling some family priorities, we reached out to him to confirm a date - and I see now he was not expecting us to follow up, nor was he going to fix the mess. I am just stunned at how he handled the situation and treated us.

To do my due diligence, I got several quotes. Theirs was the most comprehensive and a fair price. The only negative was that we couldn't secure a specific date; however, I didn't care. I was in no rush. I think if you put a timeline on it they would accommodate it. My project was a small driveway and fence for our house, not a commercial project. I know they do both. They came out and the men who did the job were kind and respectful. We did have a problem during our experience, but were very pleased with how it was handled. We felt like this company took a great deal of pride with their work and how they treated their employees. It is a family business and a business run by a veteran. At the end of the day and when my project was completed I was really glad I went with premier paving and premier fencing.

I was encouraged that they would stand behind their work. However now Efren lied to me because no one ever came even though I waited all day. Then Efren blocked my number so I couldn't talk to him anymore. They justified the whole thing by saying that I was being unreasonable. I ended up paying a different company 270$ to seal coat my driveway. There are bird baths all over my new driveway and they never repaired the part where there machine did some minor damage. The second patio we put in (new house) settled after a year and water was pooling so Brent came over and looked at it and immediately had his crew fixed the issue which required 2 days worth of work. They were already at the house installing a new front entry as well. So a 3 day project at my house kept them there for 5 days. The crews have always been professional and very clean. In something like a patio and a front entry, you will always get what you pay for. You can always find a local landscape company to install bricks but you can't complain when things shift and pop out after 2-3 years and then you can't find them again to fix the issue.
