One Stop Market has two locations- Cabot St. and Rantoul St. (One Stop II). One Stop II was actually the FIRST one stop, but they opened up the bigger Cabot St. location, which has become the headquarters. I frequent both locations for booze, cat food, slush puppies, and so much more! I am not a Keno player, but the owner set up a keno playing/scratch ticket scratching area. You can go in, buy a coffee and paper, and keno your life away. They even have a KENO tv in the window for those folks who can't even smoke a butt without playing KENO! I am sure this business is doing well. I am very impressed with the Cabot St. location's wine selection. They have everything from EL CHEAPO to EL NOT SO CHEAPO. Both locations also let you into the beer cooler for cases. I am always chatting it up with the staff there. They are extremely friendly and always offer the ladies a werthers. Some may find it sketchy, but I find it a kind gesture. I am not sure about the Cabot St. location, but the Rantoul St. one is open 24 hrs. I happen to enjoy a nice Anejo tequila which is an aged tequila a minimum of one year that you sip like a good cognac. Most local little corner liquor Mart's do not carry anything of the quality that I'd be interesting in sipping. I happened to be looking through the tequilas and the clerk came over, he must be the owner or at least management and asked me about my needs. This was a few months back. Then I happen to go in the other evening and what do I see displayed on the counter near check out is a bottle of Anejo tequila. Mind you I did not ask them to order it I just told him what I like to drink for this great gesture I am going to issue five stars. After I made my selections I walked up to the register to finish my purchase. I asked the attendant at the register if they accepted apple pay and the woman said, "I don't know, you can try". I was pretty shocked at this but I saw that they had the symbol on their card machine so I proceeded. I tapped to fill out the prompts, signed, and received the immediate notification on my phone of the withdrawal from my phone. The clerk soon after told me that the card wasn't processed. I was confused and was trying to ask why it has been taken out of my bank. She immediately raised her voice to tell me she didnt get the payment and asked me to try again. I continued to question what we could do to figure it out; maybe there was an error in their system, or maybe the computer froze; I even suggested taking to the manager. She immediately got defensive, claimed to be the manager, and alarmingly raised her voice at me. I was even more shocked. And as she continued to speed up her speech insisting she didn't get the money I asked her to settle down. I said I was just trying to figure what is going on. She replied furiously questioning if I was giving her attitude. At this point she vigorously grabbed my bag and threw it behind the counter. This is when I couldn't help raise my voice back. I did not want this situation to get out of hand but I was now defending myself from her outrageous verbal attacks including calling me a son of a b*tch. I am utterly appalled that employees think it's okay to behave this way at a place of work! I am going make sure I get my money back but have been scarred by this belligerent interaction with this vendor.
