    Bradford Floor & Home

A couple years go we used Bradfords for a carpet installation. This time we needed hardwood…read moreinstalled in a new home office. We had such a wonderful experience previously and hoped we would be as lucky the second time around. The floors came out absolutely perfect! They helped choose the best flooring based on the look we were after. Ultimately, we choose a new type of flooring that is waterproof and scratch proof and looks like real hardwood. The only downside is, now I wish we had that throughout the entire house because our dog's nails have done a real number on the original house floors and water stains in the kitchen. Alas, that larger project will have to be for another day when the penny jar is full. The installers worked quickly and flawlessly and were very helpful with the best options on how to blend the new floor with the floor that is in the rest of the home at the doorway for a seamless transition. We are perfectionists and are never thrilled to have to delegate home work to strangers, but thankfully we've found a company we trust with our floors. Highly recommend them and will let you know if we use them again in the future.

If anyone is in the market for a new floor it might be best to patronize the superstores in Danvers. They always call and ask how the workers performed. Pam was our sales director and it didn't seem to be disturbed about the awful condition of our place. Stan is a direct representative of sorts and I had complained about tiles not installed properly. He agreed because in one section I felt I was walking on a trampoline. When I didn't hear from Stan for a few weeks , we returned to the Bradford store on Newbury street only to find out he didn't remember me. That was our last interaction with Bradford. My wife was very upset; she saved up thousands. We only wanted to make things easier for our daughter (trustee) to sell our place when we are no more. James Dennehy

Hey look I'd like to give them less stars than this but truthfully after being a customer for over…read more20 years working on my damn house from 1870 I can tell you about Lowe's over the last 20 years how it started what it was like in the middle and what I've experienced recently. Recently when I go into Lowe's, the reason I pick Lowe's is cause they're cleaner they're more organized and just seems less white trash overall all their products are clearly marked and they're easy to find. I know my way through that store like I know my way through the house although that's regrettable situation. It's just my life. They've always offered great products and offered incredible sales most recently I purchased a bunch of tile some was 75% off others were 75% off plus another 50% off that 75% now that is real value for me as a customer. But the most important thing I can communicate to you at this time right now is that every time I've gone in over the last project at least two people have asked me if I need help. One guy saw me fighting with some insulation trying to rip some plastic and he came along with a knife and cut it free and as if I needed a cart or if I need anything else. This is much different than what I have been experiencing in the past even though it's a little cliché, I can tell you that Lowe's at least recently in my experience has been much more personable and putting their employees out there to provide a higher level of service thank you Lowe's. I wish I bought a new house but I didn't. I bought an old one, and therefore, you have been a big part of my life and I appreciate it even though I resent it a little bit. Thanks again Lowe's. Keep up the good work keep asking people if they need help. That is the key to success service.

They arrived at 2 PM for a 9-10 AM appointment. I called throughout the 4 hour wait but no one got back to me. There was a lot of loud banging in my kitchen. They left without finishing the job and refused to come back to complete grouting one section of backsplash to the wall. My dishwasher is dented inside and out. It was filled with refuse and is no longer attached. It wiggles in place. The door has two diagonal creases. It makes a strange noise when run because it is loose, My floor is gouged from the stove being dragged out and then turned , then dragged back. It isn't level because they didn't adjust the legs. They installed the new stainless sink and deeply scratched it. There are scratches on my cabinets, fridge and range hood. Francisco, the owner came to view the damages and said he would come back to complete the job and repair the gouges in the walls where his workmen had used chisels to remove the old backsplash and paint the wall. His son Lucas arrived instead, with an attitude. His father AND the workmen had all apologized for the damages. Lucas spread spackle on the walls to patch the gouges in the wallboard and did a good job. BUT he insisted that spackle was the correct medium to attach the backsplash to the wall of the unfinished section, as if I didn't know the difference. He said that those thick blobs would be fine when they dried. He attempted to bully me while he was there with a swaggering intimidating attitude and a fresh mouth. I was totally relieved when he left. I would not want him in my home again. All in all the damages and unfinished work came to almost a thousand dollars. I've been forced to file in small claims court. As a 72 year old widow I am unable to make the repairs myself and certainly can't reattach my dishwasher and level the stove and replace flooring. They also left the place dirty and I even had to clean dirty handprints off my walls. All in all an extremely upsetting way to be treated. I'm convinced that being an elderly female is a large contributor to their lack of response in following through with Francisco's promises of job completion and repairs and Lucas' threatening att I'll see them i i'll see you in court.
