This company installed our granite counter tops awhile ago. When they installed, we needed an extra hole drilled for a filtered water faucet. We presented them with the faucet so they could drill the hole accordingly to size. When the plumber came, he told us the hole they made was too small and non-standard size. It was only 1 inch and we needed 1 3/8. We put the faucet in anyway even though it was wobbly and imperfect. We just wanted to be done with everything and didn't want to pay for another plumbing visit. Fast-forward two years later and the faucet needs to be replaced. So we figured why not call North Shore and get the hole properly sized. Can't be that complicated or expensive to enlarge, right? I ask the receptionist how much it would cost and she says we're all set and we book the appointment for the following week. I then call the plumber to schedule that as well. All is looking good. Day before they're supposed to show up, the owner calls me and tells me the receptionist had no right to tell me it would be free of charge so I ask how much and he says $150. One-fifty to enlarge a hole! I figure must be complicated, so I ask how long does it take. He hems and haws that it doesn't take long but it's a big clean-up yada yada. He continues giving me the runaround so I decide to call and see what someone else would charge. Classic Rock Granite in Beverly charged me $25 and came the very next day. No hemming, no hawing. Just good old fashioned customer service. So, long story short, this is really a five star recommendation--just for a different company. read more

I was very disappointed at how rude the woman was I worked with. When I chose not to go with them and went with another company I brought my samples back and the woman was rude and refused to give my deposit for the samples back because I did not go with them. She continued with a few more insulting words before I finally said keep the deposit you obviously need it!! I should have read the other one star reviews before ordering through this company. We ordered stone for what should have been a simple fireplace project - this turned into a 7 day nightmare of no returned phone calls and blame placed on myself and my husband! We worked with Wendy, we picked up the order on a Saturday, and when we got the order home, we realized that two of the pieces were broken and that we would need to triple the order to complete the project! I drove back to the store immediately and explained the situation, I could not figure out how the estimate came out so off. Had we been given an accurate estimate, we would have never placed the order to begin with. I am a reasonable person I could see if we needed one or two more pieces but 14 more!!! I repeatedly asked her how she came up with estimate and she could not even explain herself and continued to blame my husband. Their website says "Our experienced, professional, and knowledgeable staff provides customers with selection assistance, PROJECT ESTIMATION, and design consultation." Wendy continuously blamed my husband. According to Wendy, if you want someone to help you estimate how much tile you need, you need to ask a tile installer. When asked about the two broken tiles, she said that there was nothing that could be done about that either. The company had already processed the check and required payment in full, so she had no problem telling me that it was not their responsibility. After about a half hour of going back and forth she finally told me she would do what she could, and try her best but there would be no guarantees and would follow up with me on Monday. Over the course of a week, I received not ONE phone call from her, the only time I spoke to her was when I called and happened to catch her answering the phone. She kept putting me off - telling me, that she was trying to "beat up her guy but this was the tile business," I explained how frustrated I was that I kept having to call and at one point she said that she "did not know why she was even trying to help me because she knew I would not go through them again," all I can say to that is WOW. This was only a few of the many unprofessional and contradicting statements she made to me over the course of a week. It is now Saturday (a full 7 days later) and I decided to drive back in to the store and speak with her face to face. All she was willing to offer was to refund me the amount for the two broken pieces and give me two new pieces at "her cost". You would think the least they could do was give me two new pieces at NO cost. I was not going to risk giving her another check, and after a week of getting no where decided to walk away and take the loss. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY because if something goes wrong with the order or the product, they will do nothing for you. read more

I went into ask to see some granite & said that H&H Propeller sent me. While looking I asked "How much are we talking please?" and She Never answered me. While waiting for price through "3 VERY LONG" phone calls She Finally answered me. I was told by the referral it would NOT be more than 200-300. I Only needed a piece 32x52= equal about 11.5 ft. She quoted me OVER $1269. I just stared at Her. Clearly I sent Enough Red Flags with questions about pricing. Needles to say we walked. There were some ed initial problems with the install, but the issues were corrected after notifying the company.

They are unethical and very sleazy! Stay away.....Had a very very bad experience. Once you give them money ( I was told by Wendy I could give a deposit about $2000)turns out they don't do deposits..... for a stone I was contemplating....I couldn't get it back. Normally, when a company screws up your order and installation, you don't expect the owner to tell you to your face that it's "Not worth it to me" to correct the problem. But that's exactly what the owner told me. Once you've handed them your $10,000 check, they have your money, and that's it. The great up-front customer service from the floor manager, Wendy, will disappear. Instead, you'll be stuck dealing with Domiano and the owner, who are rude and unethical. They refuse to take ownership of their own mistakes, correct the problems they create, or give even a partial refund to make things right. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more

Great experience.. Like the last reviewer said, they might not answer emails/phones etc.. but they re BUSY... so just drop in or be persistent with the calls. We were going to go somewhere else but our contractor has worked with them for years and hands down.. they had the best price out of a many places we visited.. and i mean like 40% less for what we wanted. Wendy is fantastic, just make time with her and she will amaze you with what she recommends and knows. Damiano is a worker... he does his job so don't expect him to be lovie/dubbie.. he is a get shit done guy and thats what you want in an installer/fabricator.. Overall, we got our countertops templated, installed in 7 days.., they look great and at a great prices.. you can't ask for anything more. read more

This company did do a nice job installing our glass countertops, but customer service has been a big challenge. After less than a year our countertops had some staining on them. I contacted Damiano and Wendy numerous times, via email, in person, by phone, and was very patient. However, they still have not told me how to fix the problem. I feel that because it was a small job, they did not give me the personal attention or same level of customer service that they would have given a larger job...not worth their time, and that is poor customer service in my opinion. I hesitated to post this review as I want to support local businesses, but this experience has left me with a feeling of resentfulness. read more

We did two bathrooms and they were excellent ! YES they were super busy every time we called and stopped in, YES it was sometimes frustrating to wait on a quote and remind them to send it. BUT they were very willing to find our color, they were more than willing to come down on price a bit to respond to another company we were looking at AND the template and installation were flawless. I find it a good sign that they are busy and not sitting around in an empty showroom hoping a customer shows up. It is a sign that they do a good job and are in demand. They do the work and know the business. So if you are persistent and will not be put off if you have to call a few times or go to the showroom and don't have a personal concierge waiting for you at the door and you may have to wait while they work with another customer or contractor then this is a good company. read more

I did business with them last year for granite countertops on a good size kitchen. I had shopped around and their price was competitive with others including HD. I agree that it was a challenge to get prices and to get them on the phone. I went there and would not leave until I had what I needed to make my decision. The reason for the high rating is because they came to template on time when they said they would. The install was also on time and my wife and I still marvel at the workmanship! This is the 3rd house we have had granite installed and they were the best. If you find them hard to deal with, it was not any better at the large hardware stores. read more

Totally unresponsive! I am very frustrated by this place and horrified by their customer service. Our final cost came in $2000 over their estimate but at that point our whole project was held up by the counters and we needed to move forward. Everything was installed and immediately mildew/mold began to grow behind the sink because they didn't seal it correctly. Our contractor had to re-do twice. Also, annoying stain we noticed immediately right in the most visible location on our counter. Despite several calls and emails, still no response! They said we could come by and buy a stain remover from them. I spend over $6000 on counters and I have to come buy a stain remover and chase them down months later. They suck. Please do not work with this shop. Wendy, the sales woman, is very rude to work with and never respond to the phone calls, voice mails and emails. She said she never does! ?It sounds like it is her policy not to respond to the customer.. Also it was not that professional either. Price wise, it is very similar to other shops since they use the same warehouse. If that is true, then why bother with this sweat shop? One time, I had an appointment with her in the shop in the morning to finalize my purchase but on that day, there was a snow warning. So, in the morning I was there in the shop but found it was closed! If they close the door because of the weather but has some appointment with the customer, they should let me know it was cancelled!! Very unprofessional customer interface!!
