My husband and I recently hired North Shore Painting Services to paint the exterior of our home and replace our shutters. We also had them demolish our existing wood deck and replace it with a Trex deck. My husband met with Peter who provided a very reasonable estimate for both jobs. After we accepted his proposal, Wagner and his crew came and got to work. The exterior painting of our house was excellent and the best paint job of any contractor we have ever hired. But even better was our new deck!! Wagner is the best!! He is so skilled, professional and experienced. We now have a top notch deck. I am selling my condo and needed a bunch of work done including painting, fixing a door after settling had occurred, grout work, and a few other minor items. I didn't have a referral so I had to hire someone just going by reviews. I can tell you that I couldn't be more pleased with North Shore Painting. Peter, the owner, was easy to deal with and a good communicator. The people he sent did a fantastic job. Peter was always responsive, provided a very reasonable quote, reviewed how he would prep before painting and sent his crew to paint our home. They were on time, as promised, and worked tirelessly all day - sometimes into early evening to meet their deadline. The crew was polite, efficient , paid attention to every detail and recognized all parts of the house that needed shingle or moulding replacement. Each day, they left their equipment in very neat order and at the completion of the job, cleaned better than one would expect. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. ​The worst experience of my lifetime. Peter and Co did our roof and exterior painting. Immediately after the work, the roof started leaking. It is almost a year now and Peter has not fixed the problem. We have emailed, texted, called and exhausted all options. Peter always sayI am sending Wellington tomorrow but always a no-show. I've read the other reviews here and unequivocally state that my experience wS nothing like theirs. Peter came by to estimate my job and I was impressed with both his demeanor and professionalism. He provided a complete bid on schedule. His was the only bid that included the necessary carpentry work (replacing decayed trim, window moldings, etc.) and he still came in under several paint only bids. It tell was a huge stress- and time-saver not having to deal with scheduling estimates, reviewing bids, scheduling work, and otherwise trying to coordinate multiple contractors. I called Pete to let him know he'd won the job and asked "how much money do you need me to put down to start the job?" "None, he said. You can pay us when we're done and your satisfied". Pete called me to let me know that a team would be by to power wash our home. They showed up on time, were very courteous, and did a great job. A week later, Peter called again to schedule his paint and carpentry crews. They showed up on time, were again very courteous and professional. The crew chief rang the doorbell and asked if I could join him in a walk around so he understood exactly what I expected to have done, took notes, thanked me and called over the carpenters. Next thing I knew, my house was being laddered, the bad trim, etc. was being replaced, shutters were being taken off again, and paint was going on. Two days later, they were gone. And you would never know they had been there. No runs, no drips, no errors. Exactly like I wanted it. A week later Peter called and asked if I was satisfied. I was and said so, emphatically. As it turned out, his crews had done more work than Peter and I had talked about and I had to mention it to him that I wanted to pay them for that. Peter asked if I was satisfied with the job his team had done? I again said yes. "Then we're even he said." Great company. Great customer service. Great crew. Great job. read more

Fantastic job!! We hired North Shore Painting Services to paint our entire house (ceilings, trim, walls) in the week between closing and moving in, and they did excellent work! Peter explained the process, answered our questions, and offered some great expert advice particularly about our concerns regarding the possibility of lead in our house. Frank and his team were so friendly and so meticulous - they filled cracks and sanded rough edges along the way, removed everything on the walls and put them back up exactly as they had been, and helped us with a few odd carpentry jobs such as removing french doors and patching where the hinges had been, and trimming doors to fit over carpets. We had a tight timeframe and they were great about accommodating our schedule - they even finished earlier than we expected!! The work is impeccable, the walls look amazing! This company was referred through Networx.com. I had put in a request to find a cabinet repair service for broken hinges. I got a phone call from Northshore Bldg & Painting within about an hour on Friday afternoon. Peter said he would come out on Monday around 3PM to look at the job. I called him back shortly after that to confirm, and he said yes, he would be out on Monday around 3PM. We waited until 4:30PM on Monday and Peter had not shown up nor called. It was getting late, and we had plans to go out, so I called Peter, got his voice mail, and left the message that we had expected him over an hour ago, and it was now too late, and I left my phone number. I have not received a call back. If he decided he didn't want the job or was unable to come as scheduled, then he should have notified me. I'm disappointed, because when I spoke to him, he sounded so nice. Edit/Update: I got a call from Peter about a week later, apologizing for missing our appointment and not calling me. He said he had taken my call while driving, and forgot to write down our appointment. I guess anyone can make a mistake, so I wrote this off as just an unfortunate experience. We don't have any upcoming projects, so I have no need to try and use his services again right now. read more

Had a meeting to get a quote with Peter, he never showed up, no phone call until over an hour after appt. I had to leave. Set up second meeting time, after Peter was 1/2 hour late, I called him. Told me he was gonna be another 1/2 hour. Finally came, looked at job and told me he would e mail me a quote over the weekend. Well it's Tuesday and nothing. Moving on to another contractor. Wouldn't recommend this company. Very unreliable. read more

Hire these guys. We've had the house painted 3 times and this is by far the best painting contractor we have found. Reliable, responsive, neat and professional. The crew does impeccable work. Peter Barbagallo is amazing to work with. Along with the painting services we had them replace some windows and a back door as well as do work on a pool shed that needed a whole lot of attention. Peter told us that our project would be done by the end of April and it is now the middle of June and the job still hasn't been started. He kept canceling and putting us off. I have never been so frustrated with a company. He repeatedly said that he could not get in touch with his workers. Being a single mom, I feel as though I have been taken advantage of. I have been more than patient and flexible--changing my work schedule to be more accommodating, just to have him not show up. The lack of communication was exhausting. After several calls to cancel and reschedule, Peter made it apparent that we were not a priority. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more
