After dropping my car off, I received an electronic invoice with a cost estimate and detail of services. You have to electronically accept or decline the services on the invoice before they start working on the car. This is super helpful and transparent. While inspecting my car during the oil change, they discovered my car needed additional work. They sent an updated invoice with the estimated cost and details of the recommended additional work, as well as pictures. Same thing, you have to accept or decline before they proceed. Rory (the mechanic and owner) called me saying that the key was broken and that I needed a new one; he also mentioned that he doesn't do that job but can call someone who can go to his shop and do it! The new key cost $440; a few hours later (nighttime), I got a phone call to pick up the car, and the car worked effectively. The following day I realized that I had gotten back the old key. (with all the scratches and stains) I confronted Rory, and he said that the key I got is new; and that he had tossed the old key. Also, he mentioned that programming the new key with the car's computer was not necessary. After calling Toyota, I discovered that any new key must be programmed to work with the car's computer, so I probably got the old one with a new battery. ( I never got a new key!) In other words, I was scammed! I took Rory and R & Son Auto Repairs to court; he lied so many times is hard to believe. First, he mentioned that he hired a company to make the new key, but he never brought proof he made a payment to this company (maybe because it never happened). Second, he changed his story twice ( he tossed the old key! - He used the old key but fixed the inside). He is a liar!!!! This is a terrible Auto Repair business!!!! Look somewhere else if you need a service!!!
