Dr Hope was GRRREATT (a 10 star experience), he's very comforting, calm mannered, he administers the injection 2 numb the area extreeemely well-really easily; this was my 1st extraction -an upper tooth- it was quite easy, painless and quick! I was given great post-care expectations/instructions which were clear to understand, his chairside professionals were 5-stars in every way! Well it's about 6-8 months later & unfortunately for me I woke at 1am in pain, so looks like I'm headed back in the very near future for a lower tooth extraction this time...but I'm happy 2 say I'm not dreading or worrying it's going 2 B an unpleasant experience when I'm in Dr Hooe's care again! The actually wisdom teeth extraction was 5 star. The extraction went smoothly and my son recovered relatively quickly. They were very professional and felt like they knew what they were doing. Billing is 2 star - it could have been worse. We're currently disputing a charge. According to Delta Dental we shouldn't be charged for a certain portion of the procedure. North Sound did not file the paperwork correctly so they didn't get paid by Delta Dental so North Sound charged us for it instead. I think our next step is to file a complaint with Delta Dental over this. It is not a lot of money, but it is a matter or principle. They shouldn't take advantage of patients over the confusion with dealing with insurance. I'm grateful my husband works with companies like this and knows what to do and understands how insurance works! Update: They called back and are going to reprocess our bill. Will update when we hear more. 2nd Update: They reprocessed the bill. Apparently they assumed our insurance didn't cover something, which it did, so we were stuck with this hassle. From the initial consultation to the actual surgery, Dr. Hooey and his excellent medical staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. I recently had surgery to reduce a torii in my mouth. The growth reduced the way my tongue laid in my mouth - which caused (more) snoring and food catching underneath. I'm sorry but how can you hire a phone receptionist that is SO bad at her job? I called the first time to make an appointment, frustrating and rude, not to mention awkward because the woman lacked complete rudimentary politeness. The second time I called to find no appointment I made was ever recorded...which is fine with me - I mean, you just lost my business. I don't want to go under and have my wisdom teeth smashed by a business that hires a receptionist who does subpar work. So I decided against rescheduling and will be going elsewhere. Last grip, the lady does not say bye. It's must cost her money every time she says that word. I always say a goodbye or else you'll just be awkwardly hanging up on someone...she did. It was awkward. I was a receptionist for 2 years, it's not that hard, if you hate your work so much perhaps you should leave because this is very off putting. I'm sure the surgeon is very nice but you need to hire better support staff! I had my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday and the staff was amazing. I was super scared and shacking and a dental assistant took a very good care of me before the surgery.She distracted me by talking and asking question about my life and my job;) also I had pretty small veins and Dr. Hooe gave me to breath some "laughing gas" that made me more relax about poking needles in my arm. Thank you for the assistant that took care of me after general anesthesia! I was helpless without any strength. I enjoyed being there even though I am scared of dentists.. As a dental assistant it can be a bit of a challenge being on the other side of the chair. being that I was pretty much aware of what would happen. I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth extracted for awhile and finally decided to just get it done. Right from the start of the consultation to the end of the extraction appointment I was extremely impressed with Dr. Hooe and his team's calm demeanor, honesty, and advice. Any and all questions I had where answered and the front office staff deserves stars for handling the complicated insurance of mine. Dr. Hooe works impressively fast along with team of two assistants, I was certainly in the good safe and fast hands of 8! I was in and out in less than an hour, given my extractions where relatively simple. I always heard and was told by the staff that "we'll take good care of you", and you know what, they do! 10x!!!! I had an extremely painful infected tooth during the COVID-19 closures. Although Dr. Hooe could not see me immediately he gave me his full attention during our phone call and told me how to get the pain under control for a few days. Once they opened, the extraction was painless and I was impressed by his professional skill and the friendly atmosphere in his office, despite all the changes in procedure and equipment due to the virus. Absolutely fantastic! I got call four of my wisdom teeth removed almost a week ago, and I have zero complaints. I was absolutely terrified walking in, I was assured that everything would be ok and it was. I fell asleep in less than a minute, and woke up already in the car. The stitches are holding up very well, and they are so helpful if you call in after with a question. They take their work very seriously and seriously care about you, enough to phone you later in the day to check up on you. I could not be happier with Dr. Hooe's office. I went there to have all my wisdom teeth removed because the lower two teeth were impacted. The consultation appointment went well - Dr. Hooe's assistant explained to me the general procedure and what I should expect afterwards. Then Dr. Hooe came in and spent 15-20 minutes with me reviewing each tooth in the x-ray and discussing what the extraction of each one would look like. This made me feel much more comfortable. He also answered all my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. On the day of the extraction I arrived at 9:29am. After waiting for 5 minutes to get checked in because there was someone in front of me, the procedure started right away. Each tooth was extracted very quickly and with minimal discomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and easy it was. Nothing like what I was dreading. When I looked at the clock in the car as my husband pulled out of the parking spot it was 10:13. In and out in less than 44 minutes! The recovery has been progressing well. I had very little bleeding the first day - I never had to reapply gauze. I was also happy that I did not wake up with a bloody pillow the next morning. This is day three and I am off the pain medications now and have very little swelling. The whole experience has been more or less as good as it could be considering what it is. I would whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Hooe to anyone who needs to have their wisdom teeth removed. read more

Today I saw Dr. Hooe for the extraction of my three wisdom teeth (I had one removed years before), and I was extremely happy with my experience. I was escorted back by two of his assistants who were very kind and conversational. Very shortly after I was hooked up to the vitals machine and had my IV put in, Dr. Hooe joined us in the room. I don't even remember falling asleep after he started my anesthesia and before I knew it, I woke up and the procedure was already done--just under an hour! The staff gave me ample time to fully wake up and one of the assistants personally walked me out to the car to ensure I made it there safely. The staff did a good job educating my father and I on post-op care and I left feeling confident and comfortable in knowing what to do when I got home. Although I was given a presciption for Narco, they strongly encouraged me to try intermittent Ibuprofen and Tylenol in controlling my pain, which I appreciated because I would like to avoid presciption pain killers if I can. So far, I've experienced minimal pain and bleeding (did not have to reapply gauze). Recovery is looking speedy. 5/5 care! read more

I've had at least 4 implants done by Dr. Hooe over the past ten years. He is above and beyond any provider I have used before. Dr. Hooe's skill and technique are masterful. I feel so confident when I need a procedure done that I will be taken care of by the best oral surgeon there is. He is kind and so thorough in his communication that I never have any questions to ask. His staff is wonderful and have been with him forever. I think I have been in each of the rooms in his office and I am always amazed at how roomy and elegant they are. His office is located just off of Aurora with plenty of free parking which is a plus.
