I've been coming here for about 2 years now. I did the SureSmile aligner a with them and my teeth look so awesome!! They are always so nice and lively when I come in and almost everyone over time has remembered my name when coming in. The dentist himself is a really great guy overall and I think that the environment inside the office so great and positive. I have mentioned to all the hygienists that i've encountered that I myself am going to school for Dental Hygiene and they get so excited and tell me all about their schooling experience and I really admire that whenever I go in. The reason I started going here was for them to fix a chipped tooth that has continuously broken over the years. After coming to ACD, I have not had any breakage experience with the composite fixing over my tooth and it looks like a real one!!! The dentist is fine he comes in for two minutes looks inside the mouth asks how your year was and then leaves. Cleanings are fine. Sometimes a little rough. sometimes they provided services without asking. Like flouride for kids. Doing it and then telling you it's not covered on insurance after the fact. I need a medical professional and front office staff that is human and who has a heart and realizes fees that are set in stone and punishment, is probably not the best way to keep clients. the biggest reason we found a new dentist is the fees. They charge you a $75 fee for being even one minute late to your appt. They also expect you to cancel your appts at least 72 hours in advance, which if your appt is on a wed or Tuesday and you get sick on Sunday or Monday, you should have had the forethought on Friday to know you'd be sick and call them, because calling to cancel on the weekend doesn't count. Because the human who checks the machine won't get the message until Monday which is now past the 72 hr windows. None of my other doctors or past dentists have ever charged such a high fee or been so unforgiving about humans having complications in life where they need to cancel or be late. Traffic happens. Kids happen. Colds and Covid happen. Life happens. But sorry. The robots at the front desk need $75 from you for having a life that makes you 5 min late your cleaning. Not an exaggeration. I called saying I was stuck in traffic and that my kids bus was late but we'd be there just five min late. They let me know they'd be waiting but I would be charged the fee for being late. Yes. Even if you CAN still make the appt they'll still be charging you a LATE fee. So why even show up? To be charge $75 AND lectured about being on time. Btw this same courtesy of timeliness only applies to YOU, the client. I have sat in the lobby for up to 25 min past my appt time, an appt that I showed up 10 min early for. I didn't get to charge them a $75 late fee. We had been planning to get a new dentist before Covid and this last incident of telling them we had an actual emergency (a family member has been sick for a while and and we were told to come that day if we wanted to see him Awake one more time) and they didn't give a care. Zero hearts. All the money. Average cleanings. Front desk who acts like they have no idea what is going on as soon as you ask a tough question but have ALL the answers when they are calling you to pay a bill. I am a returning regular patient and am lucky to have these people available to me. A recent emergency required about three hours of work by Dr. Youssef and his remarkable staff. Somehow the office was able to fit me into their schedule, make a chair available to me, and create a new restorative cap with a "no problem" attitude. I came in with what was real trouble and left with complete confidence in Dr. Yousef's assessment and restoration. During the Summer of '16, I visited Affinity Dentistry based on great reviews. Little did I know that Dr. Naguib Youssef would put me in a series of catch-22s and the worst dental nightmares of my life. Dr.Y replaced two fillings and installed a crown on 3 of my big molars, all of which created problems. Every procedure had leftover irritating debris (cement & composite) which Dr.Y failed to see and clean, and my repeated complaints would be denied with "I don't know how you can feel these things." I had to visit another dentist to have my teeth properly cleaned. The Cerec is the only crown choice at this dentistry, designed by Dr.Y and milled in-house. My 3-hr procedure completed fine until a final x-ray revealed a small ditch and uneven ledges around the margin, of which the assistant acknowledged. Dr.Y said everything looked good and that if they took another x-ray from a different angle, I'd not see the ditch anymore. I felt intellectually insulted and left the office without resolve. Over the course of 4 months, I exchanged several emails and calls with Affinity to address my concerns. Initially, Dr.Y was positive and reassuring to stand behind his work. Later on at a follow-up, I continued to emphasize how my tongue was very uncomfortable due the lower molars were shaped too sharp and the upper too dull, and I still had unaddressed bite pain/sensitivities. After Dr.Y quietly listened through my concerns, his first response was "I can't believe I'm hearing this; I have never had this conversation before you know?" I was uncertain what to make of his comment but was not satisfied with his ego's response when the appropriate offer should be evidence based. As a patient, I returned because the work was improperly performed. Eventually, I received a partial refund and a letter stating that Dr.Y would no longer serve me under any and all circumstances. In order to fix the mess Dr.Y created, I spent a ridiculous amount of time & money seeking multiple opinions from 9 dentists. Why so many? Because many backed down and deferred me back to Dr.Y! In fact, during this painful period I learned the questionable referral system that plagues much of the health industry. My observation is some of these dentists knew each other either through schools/associations, and they'd approve/validate each other's work, competent or not. I've been played like a ping pong ball back and forth, facing dentists dodging responsibilities by turning the difficult cases away after explaining my previously existing complications, and charging patients for consultations without providing any resolve. Furthermore, I've had to fill out endless unnecessary paperworks (which no one read), took exams and x-rays that were basically useless in diagnosing my problems. I had to study in-depth in order to explain to dentists exactly what I wanted done, and even resorted to making a diagnostic cast AFTER my crown was installed! The overall consensus was complicated, so difficult that one prosthodontist said: "Your situation is not in any textbook, I don't have the confidence to help you." Fast forward nine months, my problems were finally fixed by an excellent Seattle prosthodontist. He confirmed both fillings had air pockets with symptoms of bonding failure, and they were insufficiently built-up resulting in dangerously sharp edges that often sliced into my tongue. The Cerec crown was an economic solution and therefore reflected in its low quality, although Dr.Y charges on average $400 more than other Cerec dentists in the area. Overall, my personal experience and opinion of Youssef's priorities are as follows: Maintain reputations/ratings above all else, provide selective treatments to maximize time & income, at signs of complication refund money and decline service, and lastly, caring for patient's true well-being. It's ironic Affinity emails monthly newsletters addressing psychological fears on dental visits, because every bite I take and every brushstroke of my teeth, I'm constantly reminded of their incompetent works. The most important lesson is this: Do not naively trust any dentist based on what they tell you, especially when told to settle for any unsatisfactory treatment otherwise deemed clinically acceptable. The fact is today's progress in dentistry is far from being able to properly diagnose and provide guaranteed solutions. It's best said by my prosthodontist: "The tongue never lies" and "No dentistry is better than any dentistry." read more

My family and I have seen Dr Youseff for 2 years now and couldn't be happier. He and his staff are warm, friendly and welcoming! I have had my share of dental work over the years so I tend to expect the worst from my time in the chair. However, Dr Youseff is so good at what he does that there is very little pain. Dr Yourself and his staff were amazing to work with! My wife and I have not had dental work done for a couple of years, so they had their work cut out for them. They were very prompt at scheduling appointments, and did a great job on all the treatments. The office staff provided amazing customer service and knowledge, making our family feel right at home and well take care of. I have been going to this dentist building since I was younger. Every dentist kind of just goes with the flow of what was already there. Dr. Yousef, he has completely changed the way dentistry is being done in this building( and for the better I must add). He pays attention to his patients, he provides a vested interest in making sure you are not in pain. He is using much more state of the art equipment. Our Daughter recommended Affinity, and when I had a terrible toothache that needed immediate attention I went in. This is NOT sedation dentistry...they charge you $350 for a $10 pill from the pharmacy. Charge you for medication NEVER administered. When questioned the bill charges they turned the bill to collection...after payments had already been made on the account. HORRIBLE!! Dr. Youssef is our family dentist and although they do not profess to be a pediatric clinic, they should. I have been to "pediatric" dental offices that not are not half as good as the staff here are. My 6 and 4 yr old made it through an exam AND cleaning. I returned with my 6 yr old the next day for a minor filling, and she was very comfortable throughout the numbing process when just the day before she was scared for her first appointment. It was said by the Dr. and his staff, that "it's important that children have a good experience and not develop a fear of the dentist". They also have a great way of dignifying patients that are in need of a lot of work. I have referred them to others and their experience was also enjoyable. After I went 5 years without a dentist visit, I had a much better time than I anticipated! There is really cool gear now which shows the X-rays immediately, and lots of new high tech stuff since I have been last! Despite my failure at correct oral hygiene, I was not uncomfortable at all through my cleaning, and they know how to be gentle on patients like me! Two stars goes to the staff. I was happy with Affinity and their service. They were very accommodating and nice. Remembered me and my son everytime we went. I even recommended my own parents who got service from them. Unfortunately, since our insurance didn't cover everything we were left with a bill. We tried to make payment arrangements but there was never anything concrete in the works. Just a few weeks ago I was served with papers that they were sueing me for non payment. Single mom, with barely enough to support my son and I and now being garnished because there was no concrete expense presented to us??!? I'm at a lost for words and can't get a call back. Use at your risk. The smiling faces aren't worth the after math and I will no longer recommend them to anyone. I have payment arrangements with all other medical bills and have never had anyone summon me. I always make my payments with anything I have leftover which isn't much. But Like I said the staff was nice and very friendly, but to be sued and stressed out and be garnished wages because of no follow up, they are lucky to get even 2 stars. read more

Dr. Youssef is a great dentist!! I can say that with confidence because I have seen other dentists all my life, and now, I finally feel secure and confident when I see Dr. Youssef. Before I was his patient my mouth was pretty pathetic... gum disease, my teeth were moving, bleeding, and I felt pain. Under his treatment I have had my gum disease cured, implants, crowns and cavities fixed. He is gentle and knows his stuff!! As a new resident in the community, I chose Dr. Nagiub Youssef at Affinity Contemporary Dentistry based on a local recommendation. So far I have had two appointments for routine dental evaluation and repairs. I would give a 5-star rating to Affinity in all three key areas, namely personnel, facilities, and patient experience. The staff is friendly and very professional every time I see them in person or talk on the phone. There was little waiting to get in for a series of three appointments and the equipment used is state-of-the-art. And patient experience was far superior to anything I had seen in any dentist office in the past 50 years. There were all of the creature comforts like background music, no bright lights and beautiful wildlife pictures projected on the ceiling. But what I appreciated most were the clear explanations and close-up photos of my teeth throughout the various dental procedures. But best of all was a detailed dental work plan complete with costs, broken down by insurance covered and patient covered that was delivered to me before I left the exam chair!
