Amanda explained the charges thoroughly and she is warm, communicative, and professional. Dr. Lowe is the best! He is caring, knowledgeable, and truly excellent at what he does. He takes the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure the patient feels comfortable. He also has to be the fastest and most expert oral surgeon I've ever seen. He had two extractions to do for my mom and she was in and out in less than 30 minutes with almost no swelling, minimal pain, and very smooth healing. He's a unicorn! My daughter has a lot of anxiety around the dentist from some awful past experiences, but Dr. Lowe and his team put her right at ease. We will take her in soon to have her wisdom teeth out. After she checked in she was asked if she'd like to watch a movie during the procedure. There were several to pick from and the receptionist suggested one she had just watched and enjoyed. If she had opted not to watch a movie, Lake Washington is right outside the window. After the root canal there was zero pain! Hopefully I never have to get one, but if I do I'll definitely go to Dr. Samyn at Northshore Endodontics. There were no other patients during my moms procedure and I was able to stay in waiting area until her procedure was complete. I was worried that a root canal would hurt, but this was the most amazing experience I've ever had at a dental office. You can watch a movie while getting your teeth worked on. I was greeted by Jennifer; whom I spoke over the phone. She reviewed my coverage and Out of pocket cost. The staff welcomed me in and had a consultation with one of the doctor(s). I believe it was Dr. Barrineau who took a look and xray from my dentist. Took another on site and after the review and affirmation of what my dentist and I talked about. I was brought to the front to schedule with Jennifer. Fast forward, I came in for my root-canal today and it went smoothly. I had Chelsea greet me and welcomed me in (I believe is the DA) and then meet with Dr. Barrineau; whom performed the root canal. Throughout the whole process (1 - 1 1/2 hours), I felt at ease and although their was no TV or music. The experience overall was pain-free and smooth. When the procedure was completed, and my questions were answered. I was set to leave. Was…read morereferred to Alderwood Endodontics and saw Birkin Owart on 8/1/24 and had a chaotic root canal experience (my first) which ended with a file getting stuck in my tooth ('file separation'). Dr. Owart specifically admitted his mistake during the procedure. I was told to immediately go and try to get the tooth extracted and start the process of dental implant. I then received a call the next day from Dr. Wu that she would be back from vacation in two weeks and could redo the root canal then. this series of events was very confusing, so there was no way I was going back to this place. I hoped that they would assist in some payment of the high cost of the implant, but claimed they had no liability for the botched procedure. So I'm out of pocket thousands of dollars. Talking to them over the phone they were super friendly and cheerful, talking to them when we checked in they were super friendly and cheerful, and so on, and so on. Just the nicest people. We got her teeth cleaned and ready, then came back today to have her crown put on. It took 2.5 hours, but them's the breaks, I suppose. I went next door for bbq while I waited. No one likes the dentist, but they made this as pleasant and painless as they possibly could. Back to clean more quadrants (of her teeth) in the next few weeks.

He consistently provides options for the planned treatment and we together decide on what to do. And he follows up if there is any concern on how the treatment went. I have never wished that I had not gone to him. Whether I was living and working within 10 miles or up to 40 miles away, I would think about dentists that were closer to home but always went back to Dr Nelson for the engaging conversation, his inquiry into how my family was, how my daughter was doing in sports, etc. Just good professional relationship building on his part! Though, it sure is difficult answering questions or engaging in a conversation with that darn dental dam in one's mouth. :) A big plus is that from the dental chair there is a relaxing second floor territorial view of the lower Edmonds area and a city park.
