My doctor sent me here for an MRI of my back. They asked me for my insurance company and told me they would get back with me with the cost. Today they called me and told me that the cost with my insurance is $1,200.00. When I told them that my doctor said the cost would be around $400.00 they answer to me that $400.00 would be "without insurance" but because I had insurance I would need to pay the rate that the insurance company has contracted and that since they now had my insurance information they could not accept me as a client without insurance. She told me this are direct instructions from the CEO since January. I called my doctor and I who called them and was told the same , she asked if they could to an exception and they said "no". I also called my insurance agent to let him know how great is the insurance I have that is costing me north of $15,000/year. I really hope this does not end here and that people are aware of how they get ripped off by companies like North Star Diagnostic. read more

This staff at this place always treats you very nice. Not sure if its the lighting or the furniture, but upon entering, I immediately feel relaxed, They are more than willing to give you a copy of your x-rays, so you can hand carry them to you doctor (or keep a set for your self). This way if you go to different doctor for the same condition, you have a reference to discuss. When I had my hand x-rayed, they made me a CD disc with the x-ray on it. They also have a well stocked, never empty, candy jar. In the changing area, they have granola bars in case you have to hang out for a while. You can also wait with you spouse there, so you can ask the x-ray tech specific questions. I have been there after 5:00pm and they don't try to rush you out the door read more

Having an ultrasound can be scary; however, the staff was very compassionate, showing empathy. They treated me as if they had all the time in the world and as though I was the only one they had to wait on all day. They gave me clear instruction w/care and let me know what they were going to do each step of the way. I am disabled, and although I do not look it, my brain does not function as others, therefore, it is especially scary for me and I tend to forget more when I am anxious, but this experience was a good one. I will pray for them, as I noticed one other patient say that to them as well. i was very satisfied with their office and i have been there before. the staff is nice. especially the technicians that do the tests. i was unhappy that i was not called to let me know my appt. was an hour behind. however, another tech. took me to a different machine but it was not working. she finally got it to work and i was there at least 2 hours. i am sure that this does not happen all the time and i blame the winter weather for the glitch. i am just glad she took me so i didn't have to wait another hour to see the tech. assigned to me. it is people, not the facility, that show up late and have no sympathy or foresight that they are delaying everyone. the patients need to learn a little courtesy. read more

My first diagnosistic clinic visit. Due to convenient location the NorthStar name was engrained in my mind as the one and only diagnosistic clinic. When I entered the building finally my curiosity was tamed. The medical building was built in an area I once remember was an open field I trained in for cross country in high school. Nice entry and luxurious office suite. Front desk is above and beyond customer service. Everyone else in the office is on the same page to make sure you feel comfortable and welcome. Thankfully my forecast was negative for a blood clot. Hopefully i never need diagnosistic services again but if i do NorthStar will be my choice. read more

Our experience started when the doctor provided the referral. It turned out that I had to take my daughter to the ER and we missed the scheduled appointment time. When I called I fully expected to pay a missed appointment charge, but, was told "We don't charge for that." I was then asked if I wanted to reschedule the appointment. I explained that it was taken care of in the ER. Following this the doctor submitted a new referral to this facility. When we arrived they quickly brought us in. Everyone was friendly and the process was over quickly. They explained the results would be provided to her doctor and we were on our way. read more

Dr Nebor and Staff were AWESOME! I was released from the hospital on Nov 25 2020 and could barely breathe and was placed on an Oxygen Concentrator at home. I found Dr Nebor on ZocDoc and called. His wonderful staff made me an appointment for the next day and Dr Nebor analyzed my issues and problems and did not rush the appointment and now I'm feeling like a new person with just a little shortness of breathe sometimes when I walk. Absolutely outstanding staff!!! Amazing customer service! The lady who checked me in & the tech who did the procedure both went out of their way to be helpful and go above & beyond. They eagerly attended to my every need. They were super friendly and treated me w/ great respect & dignity. I can't rave enough about how wonderful they were!! I was in the office of a competing diagnostic center for an MRI of my knee. My wife called and inquired about pricing as I was completing the paperwork. The cost was so much less at North Star Diagnostic Imaging that we left the competitor and were worked in with not much notice. The entire staff was professional and polite. The office was relaxing and quiet. The MRI technician explained everything and helped make me comfortable for the entire procedure. The front staff was professional and the fact that they give all patients a iPAD to fill up information makes it so much easier than all the paperwork everywhere else. I had a lot of insurance issues. If North Star would left a message when they called that my MRI was denied before I got there would have been nice. However, I do understand the effects of HIPPA, perhaps a second call . When I finally was approved everything was superb! Very friendly staff, clean environment and plenty of FREE snacks.....good snacks too. All of my imaging will be done by them. Also great prices. read more

Love this place! Aubrey, ultrasound tech, is amazing. She's very attentive and accommodating. Paying attention to the little things and making sure I'm totally comfortable. I've seen two different doctors, but each one was friendly and did not rush me when I had questions. Dr. Woo even called me personally with my results. I had to reschedule an appointment while I was there - due to a personal situation that was MY fault - and they gave me a gift card to a restaurant for "my inconvenience." WHO DOES THAT? I have had many exams here for various over the last two years and each time the entire staff, from the front desk to techs, have always been pleasant and accommodating. They are usually busy but I never had to wait more then 20 minutes past my schedule appointment and they were very apologetic about it. I will come back if needed for future tests. read more

I would never use any other imaging service. This is the best place for all your imaging needs. I just found out that they do mammograms and bone density exams as well.
