There was no wait when I arrived, just pulled in and no less than 10 minutes later had my smog certificate in hand, ready for my vehicle registration. Appreciated that they had a small waiting area with chairs to rest in, and prices seemed fair compared to other shops in the area. Would come back again for smog needs in the future.

Depending on the day, you even get a nice sea breeze rolling through because both sides of the bays stay open. It makes the wait surprisingly relaxing. Tony has been serving Long Beach for I believe it was over 18 years and his experience shows. I paid $50 for the smog check, and the certificate gets sent directly to the DMV without anything needed on my end (I also didn't understand the certificate portion, so he explained that to me). I'd recommend this location (and will exclusively be going to Tony) for future smog check needs!

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

I just left this station with a great feeling. Brian was the Tech adn he explained to me the test result which no one in the past ever has. They all just say you pass. Jeremy was professional on the phone and was hnest about how long it would be and how many cars ahead of me. I was in and out about 15 minutes. AWSOME!!!!! read more
