My Porsche Macan was mauled by a dog, causing severe scratches on all four sides and on the hood. It was major damage and very expensive to repaint. My insurance company's first claim payout was greater than $10k below the estimate to repair. My North State Custom agent , Neil C., was the consummate professional from start to finish in the process. As this was first major auto insurance claim, I was entirely clueless on the process, but he reassured me (most) insurance companies will come through once their adjusters come to the shop and consult with him and his colleagues. He was absolutely correct, aside from paying my deductible, I had no other out of pocket expense and my car looks brand new inside and out. Customer service is king these days, and these people could teach a masters class on this topic. Neil and his colleagues could not have been more accommodating in a an otherwise stressful and expensive repair. I'm very happy with the results. I've used North State Custom for my annual state inspections for a few years now and been pleased with their work. However this latest visit they scratched up the front of my car in the 10 minutes it was in their shop. Something clearly happened when they pulled my car into the garage to take off the front left tire for inspection, as there are now a number of scratches in the paint up there and the plastic rim around the wheel well partially popped off. I didn't notice the new scratches until I got back home, but multiple calls and voicemails to North State Custom have been entirely ignored. Seems they scratched up my car and won't take ownership of their mistake. Take your business elsewhere! read more

By far the best repair experience I've had in my entire life. The team at North State Custom went above and beyond and exceeded all expectations and then some. I feel lucky to have been referred to such a high quality, professional, and communicative group of people. I wrecked my car after hitting a deer head on. North State took my vehicle immediately, coordinated directly with my insurance, helped me with the logistics of getting to and from their shop and got my car back to brand spanking new. I returned my car a second time to address some residual cosmetic issues and they handled them day of. My vehicle looks the way it did the day I drove it off the lot. Not only do they provide high quality work but everyone that works there is a high quality person. They'll fix your car and make sure you get to where you need to go while they do it. They inflated repair cost of my car to 25k and then recommended that I total it. I went in for cosmetic body work on my 911 Porsche and ended up towing it to dealer as they didn't take responsibility for the damage. They claimed that the engine needed to be rebuilt and when I went to the dealer the confirmed belt was over tightened and cause one of the pulleys to lock. It was a 1.5k fix. I am doing you a service stay away they guys are the worst type of crooks. They put over 100 miles on my car, I think of of the employees took my car home and was ultimately interested in it. I was 20 miles south of SUNY Albany, when a large buck blindsided the front of my Audi on the Taconic State Parkway. I had the car towed to some near by area due to the time being near midnight. Next Morning I called Frank from North State Customs, and he immediately sent out a tow truck to retrieve my Audi and have it towed back to North State Customs. I have zero complaints, the car looks astonishing. There's not alot of Certified BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Jaguar, RangeRover, Rolls Royce body shop in Westchester County. North State Customs genuine honesty, and the quality of work is second to none. Frank informed me that my insurance company wanted some aftermarket parts installed compared to OEM (genuine parts), he automatically informed me that he wasn't going to cheap out and told the insurance adjuster that he is going to order all Audi OEM products. The repair was quickly done in 3 weeks! Upon arriving, the car was parked outside fully detailed and looking better than brand new, as the paint matched all panels. From my first conversation on the phone, through the inspection/estimate, insurance nonsense and the actual repair - they said what they'd do and they did what they said they would. When I was looking for a state-of-the-art repair facility for my Tesla S after an accident last year, I checked with Tesla and they recommended North State Custom in Bedford Hills for body work. Greg, the owner was a pleasure to work with and he stayed on top of the entire process from beginning to end. He showed me the workshop with the special base for aluminum work which gave me complete confidence. After repair completion the car looked as good as the day that I bought it and it drives like nothing ever happened. I dealt with North State Custom for body work on my Tesla in the Summer of 2016. I also had them take care of damage on my wife's SUV at the same time. At the time I was very happy with my experience and would have given North State 5 stars. The repairs came out great and I felt communication was excellent. Unfortunately my opinion of them has changed. Early this winter I had some damage to my car and because of the claims I had last year I decided I would be paying out-of-pocket for repairs. I requested a quote from North State Custom and recieved one. To my shock it was close to $10,000. (This damage to my car appeared much less than the damage I had in the summer of 2016 and repairs at that time were around $10,000.) Well my shock turned to curiousity and I decided to obtain two more quotes from Tesla certified repair shops within driving distance from my home. Both quotes came in well below $5000- less than half the North State Custom quote! When I pointed this out to North State Custom the response I recieved was disappointing- no response at all. Some customer service. Now if you need your Tesla repaired and you don't care what your insurance pays for it- use North State. I expect the work will be good quality. But if you do care what your auto insurance pays for repairs on your Tesla I would recommend obtaining a quote from another Tesla certified repair center. You might be very surprised as I was. And if it is not a Tesla you need repaired I suggest you get quotes from at least one other body shop. Or go with North State Custom if what your auto insurance (or you) pays for repairs doesnt matter. read more

Greg or his son will keep you updated on the process on any repairs or custom work you are getting done even with photos if need be.
