Owner Greg is unresponsive and unreliable. Had a 3 PM appointment, that he personally scheduled, for which he didn't show or call. His employee was unable to reach him and gave me Greg's cell to try myself. I left him a voicemail and sent a text that I was waiting and to please let me know if we needed to reschedule. Left after 30 min. As of this review it has been 3 days of radio silence. Greg couldn't even be bothered to send a quick text to apologize. Went down the road to Ethos and they were wonderful. Like others have stated. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Don't even bother coming here. My story starts as my incompetent shop down the road sent me here for collision repair. I made the mistake of trusting my shop and good word on Ultimate Auto Body. I blindly signed paper work to agree to do the job because I trusted my shop. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until the adjuster comes, well better yet just don't go there at all. Greg and his cronies overstated the estimate by several thousands of dollars. Job was done for 12k and Greg probably spent no more than 3k. Parts on the estimate were never ordered and labor that was never done. A year later I'm left with subframe damage that was never repaired. How does he go on to solve this issue? Tells me to call my insurance to see if they can give him more money. Greg the owner will make smirk comments and try to over power you. Make you feel diminishable and weak. Bad customer service, bad everything. The worse experience and unprofessionalism scam artist when a customer is using an insurance claim. A den of crooks and thieves. The owner of the shop, Greg ensured us he would remain fully transparent and keep us updated with any information pertaining to the vehicle. When the car was dropped off he wasnt present, buy left "routine " policy paper work to sign... do not sign anything until the claim is made and adjuster comes out. Two weeks go by. No update, car sitting in lot, and playing hard to get with the insurance adjuster. 3rd week, Greg the owner/scam artist goes to the supervisor on Wednesday, submits 12k claim on a 5k-6k job and its glanced over and approved same day Wednesday. Work was not fully completed, no repair, parts and labor cost receipts, only give deductibles and here's the key. Greg still never in site but left mechanic "Sammy" to do dirty work claiming he doesn't know anything hes just the mechanic to deal with the customer. BIG BAG OF MAGGOT FILLED TRASH LEFT IN MY VEHICLE to add insult to injury because we felt treated like straight trash... Nice Touch Greg. TAKE A LOOK AT HOW HE TREATS CUSTOMERS... These guys are great. First of all they guaranty that you will never have an issue with your leasing company with one on their repairs. Great staff, and always deliver on time. I have had 4 cars which had substantial damage repaired here and the cars were repaired in a timely way with beautiful work. One of my cars ran over a block of wood and thankfully, they discovered further damage after opening the car up which they had my insurance cover. Don't hesitate to bring your car here. They get the insurance company to pay so that your car is restored to pre accident condition. Staff is friendly and courteous. DO NOT USE ULTIMATE AUTO BODY UNTIL YOU READ THIS! I have been a customer of Ultimate Auto Body for several years, giving them several jobs. Everything seemed to work OK - the insurance company paid, I got my car back in a reasonable period of time, the work was quality. However, I had a recent experience where Matt and the ownership of Ultimate Auto Body showed their true colors. The bottom line is these guys are going to pressure/railroad you into getting the most expensive repair possible, even if that's not what you want, and be very nasty to you if you refuse to go along. Read the other reviewers - "slick" is the perfect description of this place. I guarantee you can do better elsewhere. Here's the details. I recently had storm damage that destroyed one car and nearly destroyed the other. Both were towed to Ultimate. I told Matt that I hoped that/wanted both cars to be totaled and, in any event, I did not want any repair work done on either of them. Matt had me signed the "standard" forms (I just assumed that was needed for Matt to have the cars on his lot) and said he would work talk with the insurance company and get back to me. Well it turns out one of the cars was not a total loss. When I discovered this, I told Matt I would have the car towed for private re-sale and that's when the attitude completely changed. I was told work had begun, that I would have to pay charges (which turned out to be over $3,500) to have the car released to me, and that I would have to pay in cash. I was so mortified I wanted both my cars out of their, so they charged me an additional $4,700 to get the total-loss car back, even though ZERO work had been done on it. Talking with the owner Greg (Matt's uncle) went nowhere. It was clear they wanted a repair job (with the insurance company $$ that came with it) and if I wouldn't go along, then to heck with me. They even made me pay cash to get my vehicle released - a nice classy touch. I'm not criticizing the staff and I'm not criticizing the quality of the work. But these folks are clearly not looking to do right by their (even long-time) customers and I'm sure that attitude clearly impacts their interactions with every customer. Not a positive experience. Owner tried to hoodwink us by implying that the damage was much much worse than it really was. (It was a scrape, paint only...he wanted to take apart the entire bumper "to check for internal damage"). He also, after an entire week, did not send an estimate to our insurance company. WTH?? From the minute you walk in the door, you will be greeted with warmth, generosity and professionalism. My car needed some body work and I didn't know where to begin. What is most important though is that everyone in the shop seems to take care in the work they do. As another reviewer said below, this place is slick. They tried to take advantage of us, too. They tried to start work on our car before the insurance estimate had ever even come in. In fact they had removed parts already (!!) and according to our insurance firm, they never even sent photos or an estimate and this was a full week after the car had been brought for them to look at. They also called and got really aggressive on the phone with us, because we hadn't signed a permission to start work order yet. Further: the car had a superficial scratch on the paint but they said the job probably had "internal damage" and might cost between $2000 and $4000 to fix. HUH??? (we got the scratch repaired elsewhere for less than our deductible). All I can say is, they should be REALLY careful of who they assume was "born yesterday" as we might be "nice" but it was clear what their M.O. was. I would not recommend this place to anyone due to how they conduct business, no matter how good the work might (or might not) be. read more

STAY AWAY FROM ULTIMATE AUTO BODY. Don't just listen to me - listen to the reviews by SM, Alexsander, William O, S.G, BT, Anthony, and Charles. They all say the same thing - - regardless of the work - administratively and potentially ethically this shop is a wreck. Don't get fooled by the "free coffee", TV, and kids play space in the waiting room. You - like others - will learn to hate Ultimate and the management (although the guys that do the work are nice and will drive you to the train). Damage estimated by a number of local autobody shops (including Ultimate) to take 7 days -- takes 31 days at this place. (its like dog years for your car). And since we know they are not working on the car for 31 straight days - they are either overwhelmed/disorganized or unethical and holding for additional work or both. As the other reviewers note - Ultimate did find "new internal damage" missed by insurance adjuster requiring additional repair and money -- also a common complaint (see the other 7 reviews). If it was just me providing this feedback - you can say I had a bad experience - but 7 people, with the same issue (and do you see the length of these reviews). A lot of people felt strongly and put effort to warn you to avoid this place and Matt Biobide. You have been warned -- if you go -- I suspect I will read your negative review here soon after. After having a fender bender in February 2015,we brought our vehicle into UAB. After all we had done business with UAB many years ago without any issue. There was no reason to think otherwise. SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!!!! UAB warned us that our vehicle was unsafe to drive and had us in a rental car within minutes. How considerate after he knew that our insurance would cover it. We presented UAB with the insurance estimate and were lead to believe that the parts would be replaced as per the insurance report. NO PARTS WERE EVER REPLACED!!!! BUT UAB PROUDLY ACCEPTED THE FULL INSURANCE PAYMENT OF $3532.93 TO THE PENNY! That even included a supplemental estimate for additional time while waiting for parts. WHAT PARTS???? UAB's invoice shows no parts were ever purchased yet alone installed! $3532.93 to paint a couple of scratches on the bumper? Oh yes, and labor costs to break down to look for additional damage. Guess UAB couldn't see the cracked absorber in the bumper! Shame on us for not carefully reading the Repair Authorization that states, "UAB, Inc. guarantees that the actual repair and replacement choices made to my vehicle by UAB, Inc. and reflected on their final bill will deviate significantly from those prescribed on the insurance company's estimates." FYI; This is a perfectly acceptable business practice, so I've been told! Key word: DEVIATE. End result: Vehicle in worse shape than before accident and UNSAFE with a cracked absorber and a hammered out tailpipe. But after all, the bumper is sparkling after a $3532.93 paint job! Still kicking ourselves for being so trusting!!!! In the future, will demand an itemized estimate from repair shop to include work that will be performed rather than leaving decisions about my vehicle safety up to the repair shop no matter who they are! read more
