Getting in an accident is stressful, so the last thing anyone needs is dealing with additional stress related to repairs. With IFM, the process is a breeze! I was in an accident on a Friday. Was able to drop my car off early Saturday morning. I was given a drop off appointment time in advance so no waiting. They texted me updates throughout the repair process and my car was ready ahead of schedule. My car had been washed and cleaned (inside and out) too. They fully warranty all their repairs and everyone that works there is super friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Another benefit of using IFM is their relationship with GEICO. The GEICO adjuster has a desk in their office and was waiting for me when I dropped off my car. They also work with Enterprise so my rental was waiting there for me and I dropped it off there when I picked up my car. It was really convenient to only have to go to one place. The shop missed a major component of the repair and tried to give me the car back without , after pointing it out, they took responsibility and said they will fix it. It took them more than a week to start working on the and when I got it back, there were still some issues I taken a week took over 20 days with three shop us to get reimbursed for the car rental for that they said they need to talk about it and they've been avoiding me for weeks. I do not recommend this shop. read more

My car was damaged, but not in a vehicle accident, so the insurance that covered it was not an auto policy. They refused to provide an estimate because I said that the insurance company required at least two estimates and they did not want to inspect the car unless it was guaranteed that I would do the work there. I get the feeling that their real business model is to make their real clients (auto insurance companies) happy and not necessarily vehicle owners. read more

Failed to repair all damage, deficient communication and the woman at the desk at the rear of the office needs a Dale Carnegie course. Not a good decision to shriek that a customer should take it down a notch if that customer is pissed that all the damage was NOT REPAIRED requiring an additional two weeks of waiting. If I was a dude, I suspect the shrieker might have taken a different tack. Interestingly when my male partner accompanied me to address the failure to complete the repairs, the reception was significantly warmer. Bottom line: find another provider if you want your repairs done properly, in a timely fashion and you want to be treated with respect. Shiny folders and marketing materials (complete with grammar errors and typos ) cannot compensate for poor customer service and communication. read more

Nothing but excellent service! You all were prompt in making my repairs and the car looked amazing! The team did a meticulous job and didn't cut any corners. The car looked amazingly new and beautiful ; even washed and cleaned the inside of it. All the staff I encountered were also very friendly and professional. I'm extremely pleased with the experience. What also made this an even better experience was that Enterprise met me there for pick up and I was able to just drop it off when my car was ready; made the whole process simple. I had a two panel smash from someone backing into me at the Mamaroneck fireworks show, and chose IFM because they have Geico and Enterprise agents on site. This place is amazing. They are completely down to earth, cordial, take the time to completely ensure you understand how to undertake the process, and are understanding of the stress customers are enduring. That's all not even taking into account how well they repaired the paneling. They even took the time to detail and remove scratches that weren't billed for repair. I actually enjoyed spending time there because the atmosphere is so light and fun. I'll never go to another for bodywork after this experience. read more

I was heading home late one night and was brutally assaulted by a kamikaze deer. My ride!!! Did the online Geico app, and found this place. It was one stop shopping, as through the app I set up an appointment to come in, have the shop owner and Geico appraiser take a look, and drop the car to the shop. Enterprise rental showed up during the process to present me with a rental. The shop kept me advised by email of the repair progress, and I made an appointment to come back in, turn the rental in at the shop, and get my car back. They had DETAILED it; just part of the process but very welcome. No issues so far, excellent work on the damage, and everyone was friendly and helpful. I'm now a big fan. read more

STAY FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!!! This is a DRP Chop Shop Had my Lexus lease repaired here - big, big mistake! Red flags for this shop First they only accept cash for the deductible - that's a sign of either a scum bag owner or a business that's not doing well. 2) Never trust a DRP shop, they work for the insurance company - not you 3) I was assured there would be no problem when returning my lease - NOT TRUE The dealer immediately noticed cheap, aftermarket and used parts. IFM aggressively told me that the insurance company forces' them to use aftermarket parts - NOT TRUE and not endorsed by OEM. What is true is the insurance company forces' them to repair a car for as cheap as possible regardless of quality or safety. Which, come to my knowledge, is illegal under New York Regulations otherwise the insurance company stops feeding them work. 4) When picking up the vehicle I told them the paint color looked mismatched. They told me "it's metal vs. plastic and it wont look the same because it's two different mediums." NOT TRUE AGAIN. Got hit with a ton of expensive dealer fees as a result of having my car repaired at this hack shop!!! If you need body work and care about your car - go somewhere else, anywhere else. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would, I cannot express what I went through at IFM. After being side swiped I brought my car here to be repaired, I will say that Val and the geico adjuster Ryan are both fabulous. After my car was "repaired" I was driving my car late at night right after the repair when I noticed that for some reason my headlight (WHICH WAS NOT BROKEN OR AFFECTED IN THE COLLISION) seemed to be lighting up the concrete barrier on the highway, as in appeared to be shining to the side instead of forward. I figured maybe it was nothing and didn't think twice about it, thank god I decided to stop for gas about 2 miles down the highway I pulled up to a gas pump and began fueling, I decided to check my headlights just Incase, at which point I noticed my drivers side headlight was out. I had installed a plug and play HID kit 3 years prior (note the car is 3 years old) and have never had a problem with them. A man started shouting "ITS SMOKING ITS SMOKING!!" He pointed frantically at my front tire, where I saw the HID bulb nearly in flames and smoldering hanging through a hole it had BURNED down through my engine bay through the weather stripping above my tire. It was in fact smoking due to the burning plastic now engulfing the HID bulb. I had to drive home after disconnecting the hid with my brights on hoping the rest of the repair wasn't dangerous. After calling because Ifm gives a lifetime warranty on their repairs and I was told we are so sorry bring it back right away. I did, geico sent a survey on my experience with the initial repair. I was of course honest and described what happened, what a mistake that was. When I went to pick my car up the flooring supervisor Chris, informed me viscously that because I had filled out a survey honestly about the work that was done, he made no effort to do what he told me he would when I brought the car back He shouted at me repeatedly, saying he would provide me no courtesy's because of the poor survey, he did not do what he said he would in replacing my HID kit due to the fact that it was destroyed after his "rising star" failed to push a bulb back into a headlight. Again he yelled at me that he decided NOT to do that because of an HONEST survey. When I asked if he was serious, he used his physical stature to stand over and look down on me and told me in so many words that he was done with me and that I was shit out of luck. At that point I was crying, because I was shocked and quite frankly scared for my safety as he became threatening. The woman sitting in the back corner of the office was then shouting at me for my reaction, telling me that I was being inappropriate! I should have known better when the enterprise representative told me that they have constant complaints about IFM, or when they openly lambasted another customer because she was upset when I was in there to return my car after nearly catching fire. They openly trashed talked her too. I took my keys and went outside where the geico representative tried to calm me down and assured me that geico would be taking care of my situation. Another IfM rep came up to me and said "well it's not really because of the survey, we attempted to put new HIDs in and couldn't" which was another flat out lie. I cannot express enough how you should never go here, even if geico suggests it as their repair shop tell them no. DO NOT SEND YOUR WIFE, DAUGHTER, SISTER, or any FEMALE to this location unaccompanied, Chris has no problem bullying women and causing them to fear him. (note they also left my battery terminals extremely loose failed to reset any of the system messages and caused an inspection failure) they did everything wrong. Edit: They also STOLE a set of HID fog lights and ballasts. And replaced them with garbage parts. They had no reason to touch my fog lights but out of spite because of a survey I submitted to geico they went out of their way to not only set my original HID headlights on literal fire, but decided instead of paying for a replacement set, they would lie, then put a set of standard headlights in, and at the same time rip out my HiD fog lights and ballasts. This place is disgusting don't let their initial pleasantries fool you. Fortunately geico is "appalled" by their actions and is putting their relationship with IfM under review. I am now looking into filing a police report for stolen goods. read more

They will guarantee any work they do and send you proof, which is nice. If it wasn't so far from where I live now, I would continue to use them for any repairs. read more

My experience was FANTASTIC from the first encounter to the last. The office was clean and organized and I was met by a professional estimator. He told me the repair work would be 10 business days. I received a phone call, text message, and email message every few days to appraise me of the status of my repair. I felt like my car was in summer camp. Was recently in a minor fender bender that damaged my rear bumper. My insurance company recommended IFM. Glad they did. Service was great, everyone I talked to was pleasant. Don't use IFM Collision! They will try to rip you off . I got rear ended and took it there to get fixed . I had a truck and the person who hit me has a Honda so they were worse off . IFM fixed it , I drove it off and called them the next day . My truck was shaking terribly if I went over 50 MPH. I brought it back and one of the guys said there's something wrong . That he wouldn't let me drive home in the car , so I left it The next day they call and tell me what it is and then tell me have s a bubble in my tire and my rim is cracked . They told me I had to pay it , insurance wouldn't . Told me they wouldn't work on it until I paid them $1500 for 2 new tires and a rim. I'm not a moron so I told them where they could go and went elsewhere . There's my rim was not broken or bent and my tires were fine . All I needed was a tire alignment ! Had it done and my truck was good as new . There was nothing else wrong! read more

A guy took a lot at my car that was banged up on the front right bumper and told me it would take two weeks to fix it up. I thought that was long, but didn't complain and agreed to have ifm fix my car. It's really nice that they send you texts throughout the repair process of your car, if only the texts were accurate at telling you the % at which your car was finished.... I was supposed to pick up my car on Friday according to text, but good thing I called because they told me it wouldn't be ready until Monday.I had to be the one to call to find this out. I try to pick up my car after hours on Monday and tell them to put the "key on outside, next to front tire"...I walk 30 min to pick it up figuring it was nice day and why not? However, they lock my car with no sign of keys anywhere. I was livid and walked back home. Called the next day and Jessica tells me it's not a good idea to leave outside in case it rains.... Thanks for telling me that after the fact. I think they purposely lied to keep my car for another day because they STILL are not finished with car. I finally get my car back and notice within a minute that the brights don't work. The following week I discover a panel on the underside of my car is missing a screw, so it's just dragging on the road when I drive. Plus, the street that it's located on is extremely sketchy. DO NOT GO HERE!!! TONS OF OTHER BETTER PLACES TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED! read more

They explained everything very clearly up front with a clear expectation of when the repairs will be completed and then kept me informed with progress all along the way. As a Geico Auto Repair Xpress shop they make it easy to meet with the claims adjuster and obtain a rental car right on site, and the repairs are guaranteed as long as I own the car. After my daughter's car was severely vandalized IFM Collision Center did a wonderful job keeping us updated about its progress. Their claims guy Mr. Vici also had them fix a dent fender that had happened at an earlier time, and they just charged me for the cost of the part. The car was ready earlier than expected and we were so happy about that. They also cleaned the inside of the car,making it spotless. Also, they were very nice about moving the car to the outside lot so my daughter and I could pick it up at night after they had already closed. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I brought my car in to have 2 dents fixed; one that my insurance company was paying for and the other had happened years ago and I just put off getting it fixed. The guy took pictures of both places on my car and wrote up an estimate. After reading it over I sent him an email making sure that it was written up correctly and both dents would be fixed- He assured me they would. I sent him another email and had a phone conversation about it again before I brought my car in to MAKE SURE that both dents would be fixed. He again assured me that they would. I brought my car in and they said it would be 5 days. 14 days later when I finally picked my car up (yes that's 2 weeks) 1 of the dents was NOT fixed! They guy said that I could bring it back and gave me a new estimate (with seemly no attempt to "help me out with a good price") but I decided I just don't trust them. read more

The only reason I don't have more reviews is that my experience with IFM is the only one that made me mad enough to write a review! I would call you to discuss it but since it is 5 months after I initially wrote this, my car has obviously been fixed and at a fraction of the price and time that your company quoted me. I will admit that I am the perfect person to rip-off as I am a mom with little knowledge about the workings of automobiles other than what I need to know to drive every day. I am glad I was suspicious enough of the quote I got to get another and to find a different repair facility that I now trust and will recommend whole-heartedly. While you can dismiss this incident as out of line with your business practices, I suggest you have a refresher course with your employees. read more

I feel very strongly about acknowledging when service is superior or inferior to my expectations and wanted to share my very positive feedback about IFM. Having four cars in our family, we have used collision centers a number of times over the years. We have been somewhat satisfied in the past; however, we never received the superior service as we have at IFM. I was introduced to IFM last year when I used them after someone went into my three month old car. I was very upset about the incident and concerned that my new car was already damaged through no fault of my own. Although I preferred to use one of the companies I used previously, I used IFM on the recommendation of the other party's insurance company. I was very, very pleased last year and my car left there totally good as new. Unfortunately, one of our cars was involved in a hit and run recently and we again had to decide which collision place to use. We decided to try IFM again and are so happy with our decision. The turnaround time from evaluating the damage to returning our car was very fast and the cost was quite reasonable. In my two experiences with IFM I realize that not only do they provide excellent collision services, but they also seem to run things much more professionally on the front office end than the other places I used. I was impressed with the way I was treated by all of the office personnel and felt that my needs and requests were definitely addressed. While working on our car they maintained close contact with me and followed up to make sure I was satisfied with their services. Trust me, I don't want to need a collision center for a long time; however, IFM would be the only one I would call in the future. read more

I am startled by the single negative review of IFM Collision since I had a diametrically opposite experience. I own a vintage Porsche 996 Carrera which got "keyed" along the left door. I obtained three quotes to repair the damage. Although the cost of repair would not exceed my insurance deductible, I called my insurance company, GEICO, to obtain a recommendation. GEICO recommended IFM and, coincidentally, IFM quoted the lowest price to repaint the door. More important than cost was the quality of the work and that the repainted door would match the original paint on what had hitherto been a virtually immaculate car. The results of the work were outstanding. The door was "clean" and the paint matched perfectly. The car was returned to me in pristine condition. Throughout the entire process, IFM's employees were friendly and professional. I would certainly recommend IFM to your readers just as GEICO recommended it to me. read more
