However, despite a big bill from K-tag, we also got a bill from NTTA for 3 separate tolls, the times for which did not seem to match with the K-tag times. Zero stars. What giant pieces of excrement. They rejected fraud claims with someone using my dead license plate not registered to any vehicle. If it had not been an old license on my account they never would have just waved the $80 of fraudulent charges but because Im a customer no refund at all. Not helpful at all. The current toll rates in DFW are borderline theft. Not only are the tolls high, but the average speed isn't much higher than the freeway due to congestion. Lastly, when speaking to customer service or opening up a claim/protest with them, make sure to give them your email address. They ask for your phone number, but I was just now informed all claim updates are reported via email. So, while awaiting the result of my dispute, my bill incurred another $25 late fee. My wife and I just moved to Texas in September. Since setting up our NTTA account we have accumulated $110 in actual rolls but have been charged $340. When finally getting ahold of Customer service, they state the replenishment amount set is triggered when balance goes under $5. I'm no math expert but being charged $230 over actual tolls accrued mean I should have a positive balance in my account and the replenishment shouldn't be triggered. I've tried to file a dispute multiple times but it is leading nowhere. This is straight up theft and fraud. An agent on site told me they've clear up 1000$ worth of tolls and i only have to pay 500.11$. After that they've been auto charge me every 3 days for if I use the toll road. However they messed up blame that 500.11$ just partial payments because they get salty when they failed to renew the auto charge while my card works perfectly fine. read more

I have had numeorous problems! I have a Pike Pass but got one of their passes since I was in DFW. I got double billed! NTTA couldn't figure out how to fix it and told me I'd have to pay it. Pike took care of it. I cancelled NTTA. A vehicle we sold kept running tolls. A vehicle transfer notification was done. I called 3-4 times to point this out and they said "I see that now, we'll take care of it" Then I get more notices. After being threatened with collections I finally went to their office and showed a print out showing the vehicle transfer from 3 year ago to convince them the car was not ours. They told me I could call next time and didn't have to come down...OMG! I just got a bill for ZIP cash, even though I have a Pike Pass, they couldn't tell me why. I checked Pike and it wasn't billed. Since they have an option for if you get a Zip Cash bill but toll tag I'm guessing its a problem. Avoid any of their toll ways and esp the EXPRESS lane, they charge you whatever they want! read more

I sold my car 12-5-23 and contacted NTTA and removed car from my account. I have since gotten 3 zip tolls and with each one have called and done what I was to do. Today, the woman I spoke with ask me questions I stated at the beginning and many times during the call. I told her I was angry from the beginning, because with each call I thought the issue was handled. Even after downloading paper work and getting email from them that the case was closed. But, it's happening again. I rate this woman a zero for help. I have wasted so much time and cannot get anyone who can get this straightened out with once of for all. These tolls will go on for years raking in billions of dollars. Terrible Customer Service. Switched vehicles months ago and I am still getting billed for another vehicle.

Called about a charge on our cc from NTTA. We don't ever knowingly take the toll roads. The first time we accidentally got on one was July 2023 so we opened an acct with NTTA to get a tag for incase it happened again. We added $10 to the acct to pay for the current toll charges and we had $5.73 left so it would pay automatically if we did get on the toll rd again.A few weekends ago we accidentally got on one of the toll roads again. Since the acct had money, it paid it. However, we don't remember the person that helped set up the acct telling us that NTTA doesn't allow our acct to get below $5. So that's why we got charged. The recent cs rep, Stefon/Stefan, was not easy to work with. It felt like everything I said, he would tell me that I was wrong and he also kept interrupting me. At one point he asked me to explain what the steps I took on the website and as I was telling him, he interrupted me then argued with me about the info the website asked for. For example, (on the website) I had to choose from the drop down box the tag #, he interrupted me and said that I didn't need to put the tag # in bc it's the only one in the system. I said, I was just following the steps on the website. Then I started to go to the next step but once again he interrupted me about the dates that I chose to search for tolls and fees. It felt like he wouldn't let me finish a sentence. He did a whole lot of explaining about things that didn't need to be explained. I would also try to give him information and then bc he wasn't listening to me, he would ask me for the information again, which added to the frustration. This call could've been very quick and easy, if it hadn't been for the constant interruptions and over explanations. Stefon/Stefan, needs to learn better listening skills. Navigating the website was time consuming bc during my search for tolls and fees the calendar would not allow me to search a years worth of dates. The only way I could search was to go month by month. Again, this was something Stefan had trouble understanding. We really don't know why NTTA doesn't allow accts to replenish only when their acct balance hits zero since there's a cc on file. This is how most businesses work. What happens if we move out of state? Will we get reimbursed for the balance amount? Like I've said, we only have this acct to use incase we get on a toll road by accident which again, is what happened the last 2 incidents. read more

Merged accounts when i realized my old plates were located in a duel bill. I called 7 times and I visit Plano office once to fix this problem. My initial contact with this shady company was an invoice billing me for TWO late fees ($10 for first, $25 for second) in addition to the toll fee. I called to explain that I never received any prior notice of toll fees and that my vehicle has had a TxTag for the past 2 years. Having received a similar notice from HCTA a couple of weeks ago, I had learned that TxTag accounts were undergoing some sort of transition that prevented payment from my TxTag account. The HCTA rep was familiar with this issue and adjusted my fees to exclude the late fees they were billing me. I paid the toll fee and resolved the issue. The NTTA people were unwilling to forgive all of the late fees, so I ended up paying almost twice the amount of the toll fee. I'm not sure what is going on with these toll road fees but it is the Texas highway users who are getting screwed. I will no longer be using toll roads. read more

Their online system leaves much to be desired. No way to send secured messages and ask questions. They do have this "Inquiry" system but their staff sets things to resolved without actual resolution at all. Calling through the automated system is a pain too after hours. In their hours of operation though, it's relatively straightforward to reach someone to actually speak to. All that being said. I'm curious why they only offer the sticker tag solution. What happened to the placard we can hang on our rearview mirror? So it doesn't damage our windshield. read more

My husband and I bought a truck in Texas and we are from North Carolina. We got our truck transported on a trailer to us and we received a Toll Bill from our tags. It should have been the trailer that was transporting the truck not our truck. We were told we were the ones responsible for this bill due to the truck being in my husbands name. NTTA made the mistake and tagged the wrong plate. The dealership we bought from had to deal with this. This would have never happened if the correct plate was tagged in the first place. read more

Don't make an account online! I made an account, triple checked my information to make sure everything was correct with my husband, and somehow the app got one number wrong. Talked with customer service to get my vehicles license plate corrected and refund the amount the other vehicle took off from my account. SAFE TO SAY THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The tollway is designed to confuse people who live out of state. I was there because of a family emergency. So, not knowing the freeways and toll roads, I listened to my GPS to get me back home to tennessee. I had no idea I was even on a toll road until I received the notification in the mail. Absolutely horrible experience! Passing through TX and GPS took us through a toll. No idea how much it would cost (exhorbitant - almost $100!) and then they doubled the charge because we were towing a trailer with its own license plate. Cash grab, literally highway robbery! I have no problem paying a toll for the unit as we were on the road but to be charged in full twice (not even just a surcharge for the extra axel!) is unnecessary, especially when the towed vehicle is a trailer that cannot be driven on its own. Clean facility, easy to come in and get the toll tag. No hassle, there was no line and we were out in less than 10 minutes. We had made the attempt to get the Toll Tag with Kroger, however the location in Little Elm no longer services the Toll Tag at that location (FM 423). So we just made the extra trip and came in directly. We decided to get the Toll Tag with the Dallas Cowboys Star so that was an extra one time fee if $22.00. read more
