I went to Austin's muffler shop and got a quote on my exhaust of 256 dollars.. Honest-1 quote. 510 dollars. They were nice enough to find out that my alternator was shot while I was there. They did charge me 30 bucks for that. The quote I was given to replace it was 437 dollars. I was able to make one phone call to another shop while I was at Honest-1 to a shop I used to go to in North St Paul called Jake's auto. He quoted me 286 bucks over the phone and that's what he charged me when I them replace it. Bottom line. Do your research when your in need of repairs. All shops charge different prices. I'm sure Honest-1 is a good shop but I just couldn't afford to have them do the work.

I stopped by Motor Works Auto Repair of Blaine today around noon without an appointment after the…read moreaero shield on my son's Tesla Model 3 had come loose. Two of the screws were causing me issue, so I couldn't remove them to install a replacement. I spoke with the store manager, Ryan, who listened to the situation and offered their complimentary 10-minute wrenchless check. The technician got the car on the lift, quickly fixed the stubborn screws, and explained why I hadn't been able to remove them myself. He also pointed out how important it was to replace the damaged aero shield because it helps protect the electronics underneath the car. When I mentioned I already had a replacement aero shield in the trunk, the technician offered to install it while the car was already on the lift. That level of customer service really impressed me. I can't thank Ryan and the team at Motor Works Auto Repair of Blaine enough for taking care of the problem so quickly, especially without an appointment.
