In less than five minutes the tech came out with the tire sealed and full of air. The team was great! They took the tire and figured out how to reseal it and handed back to me full of air. In addition, I was working from home a lot. I had just purchased a 2021 Ford Explorer, which should handle some snow. The winter came and went without any difficulties. Fast forward to December 2025 and the situation changed dramatically. I was no longer working remotely as much, and so far it's been an old fashioned Minnesota winter, with all the cold and snow that comes with it. On 12/09/2025, we had a pretty decent winter storm roll on through and it was life altering in the sense I've never been afraid while behind the wheel of a car -- until now. I was barely able to stay on the road. The tires that were on the car were so bad I couldn't even make it up a 3 - 4% grade hill near my house. I needed tires badly. Discount Tire has been my go-to for tires for the past couple of decades. I made an appointment for 12/20 and ordered the tires I wanted. Mother Nature wanted to time t me though, and what was supposed to be just a "dusting of snow" on 12/18 turned into a winter weather advisory. It wasn't as bad as the week before, but it was bad enough that I didn't want to have to deal with it anymore, if I didn't have to. On Friday, December 19, I got off work early so I called Discount Tire and begged to get in to have them installed. The person I spoke with told me to bring it in and they would get everything installed that day. I cannot express my gratitude enough for them making the accommodation to get me in, even a day earlier. Now, I'll be able to navigate the remainder of winter without nearly the difficulty I once had. Thank you to those that stayed late to get my tires installed and get me back on the road! A special thanks to Caleb, who somehow was able to get me in on a Friday night after 5 PM. You are literally lifesavers in this case.

They said of course and I headed there straight away. Jose was extremely helpful in taking a look at my tires offering to see if they could repair and talking me through next steps. Unfortunately the tire was beyond repair due to a huge gash which meant a new set to avoid uneven wear given where my current tire tread depth. But, since my current tires were from discount, he worked his magic and got me what seemed like a great deal on a new set of 4 tires for my SUV. All in all, I was there just under an hour and was on my way. Although the circumstances that led me there were less than ideal, the experience once I arrived was excellent!

I have been dealing with an issue since March, specifically the Anoka Valvoline, making countless…read morephone calls to customer care in an effort to reach a resolution. In September, I was told the area manager said to reimburse me for the part. However, no one ever followed through with that decision. I continued to call and get no where and now there is a new area manager and I'm not being reimbursed. Both customer care and the store managers have repeatedly told me that they "stand by the area manager's decision," so why wasn't the first decision followed through with?! If Valvoline truly stands by its area managers' decisions, then why was the original decision not honored and followed through? This situation should have been resolved months ago. I have made several attempts to contact the new area manager through customer care, leaving multiple messages and emails requesting a follow-up, but I have received no response. I understand that he has made his decision and that everyone appears to be standing by it, but as a customer, I deserve an explanation as to why the original decision made in September was never carried out. The lack of accountability, follow-through, and communication in this process is completely unprofessional and reflects very poorly on Valvoline as a company.
