Had a service call scheduled for our dryer. Repairman arrived, listened to the dryer noise and said, " that's interesting." Said he recommends repair kit to replace all the usual parts that wear out. He had a kit with him but it wasn't the right one for our model. Said he will order correct kit and they will return to repair. He was at my house for no longer than 10 min. Was charged for the first visit, which I was told would apply to the repair. One week later they return with the correct repair kit, replace it and charge us again. Don't bother...should have called Mulligan. They are more honest. read more

I can NOT recommend this company with a clean conscience. Believe the poor reviews. I am an advocate for supporting local businesses but I wish I didn't this time. 1st visit was to assess the issue and order the necessary part as explained. The 2nd visit, the tech couldn't fix the issue and blamed it on a fault part he had to "re-order". After almost 3 weeks of waiting and getting a rude response when we eventually got a hold of an office staff member, the tech shows up eating a late lunch, throwing food particles onto my driveway. After tussling with the appliance and adding scratches to other appliances in his way, our appliance appears to be working again for the time being. Extraordinary service this morning from Justin for our refrigerator. I'm addition to being on time, organized and focused Justin explained in detail the root cause (for no cooling in the refrigerator yet the freezer working as expected.) He unpacked our frig and freezer and detached the freezer bin to show me the ice buildup (preventing cold air from being blown up into the frig.) When Justin was done replacing the defective circuit board he repacked frog and freezer and left our food (in the appropriate area) just as it was when he arrived. Unlike other service we've had for other home issues he left no sign of his work either on or in the frig or on the floor. Epic. read more

I see all the lousy reviews but all I can say is they did a great job for me. I was surprised to see them actually. My pain in the ass cloths washer filter was driving me nuts. It was a poor design by GE. Technician came right out. He was messing with it and it broke. I was happy it broke. I was ready to go out and get a new washer and there's nothing else wrong with it. In my mind it should have been a factory recall. Anyway they ordered a pump which came with the clean out. The whole job was a couple hundred bucks. I was happy to pay it. Technicians and office help were on point. I didn't have to chase or keep calling them. They did what they said they were going to do professionally which is all I ask. End of story. I stayed home from work three times to have two stoves repaired -- the first time was to have a technician come out to assess the repair needed, and that first visit went seemingly swimmingly. I was charged $120 for the diagnosis and told I would receive a call when the parts came in. Great. Second trip out, the technician tried to install replacement parts into both ovens. However, the first oven was misdiagnosed so it needed a different part and the second oven's part was difficult to get to so he would need to come back and attempt it a different way after he spoke to peer technicians and the manufacturer. I was told I'd be receiving a call to schedule a third visit. Okey dokey still. On scheduling a third visit, Northeast Appliance indicated that the first oven would now amount to $400+ to repair (a new stove of this model is $600). Spending $400+ on a 10-year old stove sounded unreasonable so I decide to cancel the repair on the direst and replace it entirely. However, they indicate they would still like to come out and take another stab at the second oven. Sure thing I say. Why the glum face, then? Well, on this third and final scheduled appointment, they're a kinda no-show. At 3:30pm, i.e. thirty minutes before the end of the 12-4pm window I was asked to stay home, I receive a call from Northeast Appliance to tell me that the technician called the manufacturer to find out how to make a better attempt at the repair. The manufacturer told the technical that they do not recommend a repair and for the technical to not attempt it. All fine and good. Manufacturer says, technical agrees. I have no issue with that side of it. What I have issue with is wasting my time. Three times I stayed home. Three. All with four-hour windows -- as in, a half a day of work -- so if the technician needed to find out how to attempt this, why call thirty minutes before? Why not call a day in advance so I could get the heads up not to waste my time? And that's exactly what it was. A waste of my time. All three attempts ultimately because, yes, I STILL have 2 broken stoves. read more

ABSOLUTELY UWFUL. I was not able to be here for my dishwasher repair so I asked my grandmother to come over. She said the technician was here for about 5 minutes and informed her everything was all set and fixed. I arrived roughly 10 minutes after the technician left to find my dishwasher filled with water and leaking all over my floor! I immediately emailed pictures to the company only for them to claim the technician fixed it and it must have broke again in the last 10 minutes. read more

They came here for 3.5 seconds looked at my dishwasher and said something was unplugged. Charged $105 and left. Guess what? That didn't fix the problem. Now they are quoting an additional $200 plus to come back out for what they "think" is wrong with it next. Go somewhere else! read more

I was disappointed with this company. Although they came out quickly, they guessed at the problem, brought parts that did not fix the problem, and didn't test the part before they left. Northeast Appliance "Pros" replaced the bake ignitor in my oven in August 2017. Now in February 2019, my oven again is not working. A repair technician came today and explained that the ignitor was installed incorrectly - it was against the oven wall - and he showed me how the wires had burned and split. That's why the oven stopped working again. Northeast Appliance said because it's out of warranty, I was out of luck. Go ahead and call them if you want shoddy work that you'll have to pay for again in a couple of years. I'd give them zero stars if I could. read more

I called what I thought where Pros', but they are not Pros at fixing appliances as much as they are RIP OFFS. They came recommended and started out ok. Everyone loves to get a Credit Card on File. They charged me $99 for a Service Call. (7/10/2021) They said you need new gaskets for the fridge. They are the Pros how can I argue. They came out 7/23/21 and put the gaskets in. (186.00 for parts and 89.00 to install the parts). I have always asked for receipt and never get one. They send me one receipt showing all services where done on 7/10/2021. Since the fridge has not worked right and had to get a new one. I spoke to a lady on Wednesday 9/8/2021 about the charges and I was looking for a refund. She said she would get back to and I never heard back. I have been calling 3-4 times a day since Sept 10,2021 and leave voice messages. The only reason why I rated them a 1 was because they showed up and that is all. read more

After a very unprofessional conversation with the "supervisor" this woman has the audacity to tell me she just came out of a meeting and doesn't have the time to listen to my issue. Okay... They send out these technicians that tell you the wrong information and when you call and try to get an understanding on the miscommunication, they blame the customer for hearing it wrong!! Horrible customer service!!!!!! Lowes, placed service call. One person called to confirm appointment, never explained the process. When the tech showed up, never introduced himself, smelt of cigarettes. He looked at the dryer and said, it needs a heating coil, and I don't have one with me and it will take 2-3 days before it would come in. I was surprised, when I asked why it would take so long, he said that he didn't have one on his truck. I asked if he could get it from his office? He stated no, he seem a bit frustrated and stated he wasn't going back and forth with me, he was calling it in. I called, talked to the same person, and she shrugged it off as it was no big thing about not explaining things to me. I felt I was not heard, and that she didn't care. She then proceed to tell me it would 3-4 days before the part would come in and they would call to schedule an appointment. I stated that was unacceptable, I would like a rush put on it. She stated no we have no control over it. I was not happy, then she placed me on hold and I was transferred to someone else. Let's just say it didn't go well. Not once did any of the 3 employees identify themselves by name. Not once did any of them give a sincere apology for not giving ALL the information could have prevent this misunderstanding. While on vacation, we found out that our refrigerator had stopped working. We were able to schedule an appointment for the day of our return. They came on time, diagnosed the issue, and we will be able to get the part and have it installed tomorrow. Pricing is reasonable and certainly beats buying a new fridge! it took 2 months for them to get my part. the kicker on that was that the woman who would always answer (we're on a first name basis now, so sad) seemed all to happy to tell me "usually we can get the parts faster than the manufacturer. really? nope. not for me. that was in july. appliance fixed: mid-oct 2014. woohoo. score one for the microwave journey. the service was scheduled 2 weeks in advance (only bc i called. they told the manufacturer 2-3 days before i called that they got the part, did not tell me and thus i called them). they cancelled bc "the driver forgot the part at the shop." they came the next day but that cost my husband 2 whole days at the office. ...for a tiny spring... then when i called with a complaint they told us that they gave us a discount. great. i should check my call history but i had to make a lot of follow up calls throughout the 2 month process to this place to get info. maybe they didn't like my approach but when you are on the side of waiting, and waiting and waiting for 2 months, you would be wondering, as I would. if i wanted to recite every painful exchange with this company, the review would probably be 2+ typed pages but i'll leave you vendor-searching folks with this wisdom: 2 lessons learned: 1. i don't like how this place does business 2. try to fix by our/yourselves. read more

We recently bought a new GE dryer and it stopped working (awesome). It was under warranty and GE connected us with Northeast. They were very responsive, polite, and fixed our dryer quickly. Obviously it's easier when you don't have to pay to have the work done, but there seemed to be a lot of negative reviews on here based on things not related to the amount charged/billed. Once we are no longer under warranty and this thing undoubtedly breaks again (nothing is built to last anymore) I wouldn't hesitate to call Northeast. read more

I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. We had a service repairman come out to our home over 2 months ago after our (new, under warranty) dryer broke. He assessed the problem and told me that he would order the part I needed and that although it was making an awful noise I could continue using the dryer. I used it for one load of laundry and it stopped working altogether. I called the shop and asked if I needed it to be further assessed to see if there had been more damage done. They told me they'd call the repairman and get back to me. I waited a couple of days (with no call back) and followed up on my own. They said no need for the guy to come out again. I questioned how he could know it didn't need to be further assessed. They assured me he could make that call. Well after waiting 6 wks from that appointment he came back today and said it was indeed damaged further. And he's not sure what is wrong with it. Very frustrating that this company didn't send someone out 6 wks ago to re-diagnosis this issue. Will never work with this company again. read more

Do NOT use this appliance repair shop!! They are absolutely awful! They misdiagnosed my ice maker repair. Quoted me a price with parts, then increased the service/parts prices and left me with puddles after puddles in the kitchen when the ice maker was turned on. They said they ordered the wrong parts for the ice maker and need to order more parts. Took them 3 weeks to order additional new parts. Then they wanted to charge me double the cost of the original repair and double the cost of more parts. At the end of the day, they would have charged me 50% of the cost of a brand new refrigerator with a brand new ice maker. I should have just brought a brand new refrigerator with a brand new ice maker instead of wasting time with Northeast Appliance Pros and suffered headaches and aggravation from dealing with them. Can we add a 0 star rating? Both these guys and Lowes have been terrible to work with. We have been without an oven for 6 weeks. Lowes put our issue into a 10 day to cure escalation. Servicer said they can't get the part until day 10 and now they can? We should have had a new stove by now... ridiculous. Glad we did not purchase the extended warranty! Terrible terrible service and buying it at Lowes was a waste of our money. Should have gone to a local business and not one of these big box - screw you - stores. Terrible Also the bake element that was so hard to source is readily available at three distributors online as well as Amazon.com. There has to be another reason for this delay. Update - a week later - They can't provide a tracking number for the part that's "en route". I escalated to Frigidare who found me a different provider. I don't see evidense they ordered any part. Frigidaire was struck back wghen I advised NorthEast never even came out to diagnose. I think Lowes picks the cheapest providers and doesn't care about customer service what so ever. So after 7 weeks our stove is fixed! :-) Frigidaire assigned a different repairer who came out, diagnosed it and came back soon after with the part and it works. Had Lowes had its act together this could have been a 2 week outage. But Lowes got greedy and started using cheap labor who can't keep their shop afloat. Besides the fact that they would have come out with the wrong part because they NEVER DIAGNOSED it. Shame on LOWES and NorthEast Appliance. read more

Lousy "service". Went to them through my warranty and dropped off my dishwasher. They said a week, which became two weeks which became a month, which became two months. I'd call them periodically and I'd get the same response where they were always on the other line, then I'd be put on hold, then I'd ask about the dishwasher, and then was told they were still working on it, or they were ordering parts or they had to go through some other channel or they'd have to contact the company. Fed up, I finally went to pick it up and got a rude surprise when I found out they moved out of the same spot they share with an upholstery business and were moving somewhere else. The guys at the upholstery business looked at me as if I had two heads and told me N.A. moved to Abington and I'd have to call them (basically trying to tell me to get out). But after looking around, there was the dishwasher! The only work done to it was that it was moved to the floor and it was in a layer of dust! I picked it up and left. Very unprofessional and unscrupulous with giving me the runaround and dilly dallying. No work ethic and pure laziness. I believe in supporting small business when they actually do the job. They didn't. How they stay in business for their crap is baffling to me. All I experienced was a bunch of passive-aggressive B.S. where I suspect they were hoping my warranty would run out and I'd have to pay for the repair. Avoid at all costs and find a repair company that's actually competent at doing their job and not B.S.'ing you. Also, there are a couple reviews that aren't recommended, as they probably came from one time reviewers on this site. But the reviews relate experiences similar to mine. read more

So impressed with the customer service! Our fridge broke right before we were heading to the hospital to have our first baby. They came out that day to fix it. Unfortunately the repair did not work but they returned with every trick up their sleeve! We decided that our fridge, not knowing how old it was since we bought the place with it, needed to be replaced. They refunded us for the parts and didn't charge us any service fees! At least they are totally disorganized. My warranty company placed a work order to them to install my new induction range. Since my electrician who had added the circuit to power the range helped slide in the range, I told them that there's probably not much installation left to do other than disposing the old range. The operator says it's an unusual order that she needs to talk with the manager and my warranty company and she's get back to me no later than the next day. She never did. A week later, I called them ago. They say that they haven't forgotten me and that they are still processing this and will get back to me no later than the next day. Then they never did. I called a few days later and got the same answer. Over the two weeks, I called them 4 times and got the same answers. At last, the operator got a little serious about this and "got the bottom of this". She says they cannot do this because they don't have the "availability" and they have informed my warranty company in the beginning. Obviously, this order is too small for them to come over. So two weeks' calling and waiting for nothing. Why can't they keep their promises to call back and let me know earlier. read more

Finally a phone operator was kind enough to reply to my call after asking her manager for the paperwork. They said already transfered my case to LG and asked me to contact them directly, no case#, no transfer date available. This is the business who took almost three months and managed to give me this piece of information!! I called LG and spent sometime to explain my situation, and again, there is no case forwarded to them regarding my repair request!! They tried to reach Northeast Appliance Pros three times while I'm waiting online, first two an one answered, and the third call, some one picked up the phone, and simply hung up. Eek! It's just hopeless. I called NAP back and said they gotta help me locate this case and call LG. Had a warranty for my refrigerator that we purchased through Lowes. We were set up with Northeast Appliance. TERRIBLE experience!! Set up for service tech 2x which they never showed or responded as to a reason until called.1st time stated warranty had expired-it had not, 2nd no reason given, In between these time multiple phone calls without consistent response-excuses "computer down" "staff out sick." Promises of ordering the part and will call with update--NEVER DONE. !st women seemed professional and nice, then next who was the "supervisor" not so much...and she never returned calls to tell status. Had to call Lowes back to find out cancelled. Husband lost day of work, food spoiled from the problem with the frige. We scheduled with another company and made formal complaint with Lowes. They came to fix a dishwasher shelf that was "off its runner " and also a freezer that had a build up of ice on the floor of the freezer. Man was very nice and said he could fix freezer problem. Drain was blocked and the duck bill was broken, he cut something, cleaned up the existing ice and said it should be fine now. He needed to order part for the dishwasher and would return when the part was in. 1 month later after I spoke with the company 2 times and had left messages with the operator to check the ordered part, I noticed the freezer problem was returning. I called the company again and was told that they would check and call me back. Still waiting since January for them to call me back. I got tired of waiting and called Yale appliance repair. Repairman came to the house with the needed parts to fix dishwasher and freezer on his first visit! read more

I hired Northeast Appliance Pros (NEAP) to fix my mother's dryer and within two months it broke down again. When I notified them, they told me I had to pay AGAIN for labor and parts. Get this they are claiming their labor warranty is 30 days which is not disclosed on their website nor was it mentioned prior to the business transaction. Their technicians are supposed to be experienced in appliance repair. Yet they did a crappy job with fixing a dryer. At this point, I would not trust their technicians to park my car. Make sure to do you research before hiring any appliance repair company. I went through Angie's list where NEAP is an approved business with an A rating. But they received C- on the Better Business Bureau. How is that possible? Not at all happy with their service and the supervisor Kevin is a real jerk. Customer service was obviously not written in his job description. Anyone else go through what I am going through now??? I am trying to get refund as soon as possible.
