Went this past month for the 3rd time! Adam gave us a great tour! We had done the 2 hour, so opted for the 3 hour this time and it did not disappoint!! We highly recommend. Also like that they partner with our favorite hotel in the area, The New England Inn, to make booking easier! Already can't wait to go back!

Lindsay Cordopatri was our guide on the trails and we had a blast ! She looked out for every member in our group too ! Definitely coming back !

Last minute decision to go snowmobiling and had three choices in the North Conway area and everyone told us we wouldn't be disappointed with Northern Extreme and they didn't disappoint. The price was reasonable, and Richard was a great Guide. It was a cold day so an hour ride was more than enough. Just as an FYI, if you ride double they don't allow you to switch up drivers which wasn't a big deal with the wife because of the terrain and speed (as she has never driven a snowmobile before).

This was out second time with this business . First time was with Bartlett location and this time with Bretton woods. Both were amazing and fun but the folks on this location were even more friendly and kind! Our guide Parker was a super cool dude and fun but still professional. He obviously has a passion for this and Im so glad we met him! The trails at Bretton woods were so much more fun and as I said the team hear are very cool and friendly. Their canine co workers weren't so bad either. Definetly hooked and look forward to coming back next winter! Thanks for the amazing trip Parker!

So much fun! We had never been snowmobiling before, so we opted for a guided tour. Man am I glad we did. Not only was our guide, CHRIS, great at the intro of how to make the intimidating machines work, but it was so helpful having someone show us were to make every turn and how to get to the best local scenic vistas. When they say show up 40 minutes early, you should. There were 3 other groups leaving around the same time as us, so lots of people had to be checked, sign paper work, finish getting geared up, sized for helmets, go thru the quick in office introduction to the weather and what we'd be doing on our tour, take the VERY short ride to the departure point, and finally learn how to operate the machines. They give you the full amount of your tour time ON the machines out in the forest, so show up early to make sure you get your money's worth. 100% recommend for beginners and anyone else looking to try snowmobiling in the area without the hassle of having to figure out the trail system themselves. And ask for CHRIS, he was relaxed, helpful, knowledgable AND a willing photographer ;)

We had a great two-hour tour with Todd. He kept us going at a good clip and we covered over 25 miles. The equipment was new and we were able to rent warm clothing for two of our party and we were all toasty! I would highly recommend Northern Extremes and Todd for an adventurous excursion through the White Mountains!

This is rich with handsome couple

We had another wonderful 3 hour ride with Richard he is the best, he always starts with safety first for everyone, then it's let's ride, the conditions were excellent as well as the weather, half way point its photo time , then more riding , and break for hot chocolate, I recommend rich every time , always make sure everyone stays together and have a great time riding.

My husband and I rented two single riders for a 2 hour tour in the Breton Woods location. Our tour guide was excellent and very easy to understand. The trip exceeded my expectations as was a TON of fun. We stopped for photo ops and got a history lesson on parts of the mountain. Really enjoyed the experience. Be adventurous and try a single rider! You won't regret it!

Awesome experience and views and tour guy. Recomendado 1000000000000000000000000000000%

Beech was an awesome guide! Literally gave us the shirt off his back when my girlfriend got too cold. The trip was amazing, the views were breathtaking, and the customer service was top notch. I'd definitely recommend the NE Snowmobiling to everyone! We even saw some moose hair in the snow.

Group of 5 adults and 3 children. We did the self guided 2 hour tour and I truly couldn't say enough great things about the experience. 1st they are great with cleaning rental equipment and office space has sanitizing stations and an outhouse. So those concerned about covid can rest a little easy knowing that they're in compliance. Staff was great with getting us set up with helmets and if you need to rent snowsuit or boots they're available. I've never been on a snowmobile so I was a little nervous that it would be difficult to learn....it's not. They spend enough time explaining and making sure you're comfortable. Great area to ride and photo opportunities with great views of the Mountain. We will return

Late review but had to share what an incredible trip we had. We went out of the Bretton Woods location last January. Driving there I was freaking out since I had never driven a machine before. Driving home I was looking for sleds for sale on Craigslist. What an incredible experience. We took a 2 or 3 hour tour with Russ and it was just awesome. I felt safe and encouraged and within that time build up enough confidence that I didn't want it to end. You need to do this, it was a blast.

My husband found it while looking for something unique to do, and what I expected to be a fun winter activity turned into an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we could tell this wasn't just a business -- it's a passion. We loved interacting with both the puppies and the seasoned sled dogs who quite literally do much of the heavy lifting. During our sled ride through the White Mountains forest, we enjoyed the sights and learning. The dogs are treated like family, and are happy, affectionate, and genuinely excited to run. One of the most meaningful parts was talking with the mushers and learning how they came to Muddy Paw and how the dogs begin training. We also learned that when the dogs retire around 8-10 years old, many are adopted by families who've taken the tour. I'd be lying if I said my husband, kids, and I don't already have a list of dogs we hope to adopt someday -- we've even reached out to express interest! This is more than an excursion -- it's an experience filled with heart, care, and joy. I can't recommend it enough.

The folks working for the Scenic Train were very friendly and helpful. The building and the train cars seem well maintained. They are clean and for the most part, comfortable. We took the comfort class because we wanted the A/C. The seats are in a restaurant booth configuration. However, if you are a larger person such as me, your belly will be pushed against the table for 4 hours. (My fault, not the train's) For most of the ride out you listen to a very nice narrator talk about the history of the area as you ride though people's backyards. The local children seem to enjoy the train and were in costume on their back deck waving to us on the train. We saw about 30 minutes of some very good views. There is a short stop at a tourist trap store before heading back the same way. (Use the restroom here, the ones on the train as smaller than a phone booth.) We did switch sides for the ride back and got to see the backyards of the houses on the other side of the tracks. The boxed lunch was a sandwich, a bag of chips, a whoopie pie, and a bottle of water. I have to say the sandwich was very good. The roll was soft, fresh, and flavorful. The bag of chips was not just a tiny bag, but a good size. The whoopie pie was very good. It was $20, overpriced, but at least it was quality. I really wanted to like this train ride but it turned out to be uncomfortable for such a long ride, too long, and not all that scenic.

We got there 10minutes early and were informed some guidelines to follow. Got myself a hat since I forgot to bring one was pretty cold. Since it was during offseason we were only ones there. We were escorted to the gear house and equipped with helmet, safety harness and a latch. The staff gave us a ride to the zip line course and took a truck up the hill. They did tell us to make sure to keep helmet on and seatbelt because it was going to be rough ride up due to it being mud season. It sure was a rough ride up and probably was in the air quite a few times during the ride. I looked at one of the staff and used my foot to secure myself like he was doing to keep myself stable which helped. It was definitely the toughest part of the experience. Once we got to the zip line area we were given a brief instructions for safety and we buckled up and started our zip line session. In the beginning it was a bit intimidating but the staffs were all very nice and made us feel safe during the experience. Once we got going it was very enjoyable and thrilling. It was cold but we were mostly prepared and dressed warm and the hat I purchased helped. The views were also beautiful. At the end we got to go in a treehouse and take some picture at the end. It was very hot the day and you are forced immediately off the trolley to sit in a glassed in pouch that was 112 degrees for 20 minutes, which sets the tone of the experience in a negative way. You view the mansion hot and sweaty, which stinks (Pun intended). Even if it wasn't hot, people should have the option to skip the video. 2. The trolly is supposed to cycle every 15 minutes (trolly even said it on the way up). We waited over 30 minutes. 3. Some guests were chastised for things that could have been easily avoided by putting up signs. If you don't want people doing things which seem perfectly acceptable to do, put a sing up or put it at the end of your 20 minute video. I think the guests who were talked down too felt embarrased and it was unnecessary. 4. When you drive up to the attraction, there is parking, by the cafe. We parked, got out, and had to go up to some people working in the park to find that we had to continue driving up the mountain to get to the carriage house. Are signs that expensive? However, the most startling moment was Elwin telling us he has only seen moose on 3/47 of his trips. DOESN'T A SUCCESS RATE OF 6.38% STRIKE AS A SIGN THAT A CHANGE IS NEEDED IN THE BUSINESS MODEL?! This was generally a tour that gave me flashbacks to my school field trips. We ironed the same three roads back and forth - you expected a safari? Well the entire tour is on paved road no safari whatsoever. The entertainment that was used to lure us in included a discovery channel documentary that bore us to sleep, another documentary, and a slideshow made by Elwin including photos of Moose to the tune of "Hey Mr.Moose." Honestly the fact that this business is still functioning is beyond me. How can one take $40 for this monstrosity and not feel ashamed. Please skip this tour. By the way our tour lowered his success rate to 6.25% - in other words no moose (must mention that he did invite everyone back for a free tour - but how should I put it: I think we'll skip).
