I previously had issues getting numb and so I was concerned but Dr Walden obviously knew what he was doing!

I decided to go to Oral Facial Surgery since it is convenient to where I live. My dentist…read morerecommended that I have one very back tooth extracted. She said that it shouldn't be a big deal and local anasthetic would be sufficient. I called and they said I needed a consultation first. I arrived on time for my appointment and after waiting nearly an hour, I was finally called back. The dentist came in after a bit and agreed that my dentist was indeed correct and I needed an extraction. He said they would use IV sedation and I told him that I had had a bad experience in the past with being put under when I had some wisdom teeth surgically removed. This didn't seem to phase him. He seemed rather annoyed that I would question being put to sleep. This all took less than 10 minutes. After the appointment, I later decided to call and make sure I was clear. I asked if he would do the extraction without IV sedation, or if I needed to go elsewhere. His staff checked and he absolutely refused to do the extraction without putting me to sleep even though my dentist said that it wasn't necessary and I had had trouble with sedation in the past. I was quite surprised that he would even want to take a risk knowing those things. To top it all off, they sent me a bill for $105 for the consultation. I called and explained that I would have done the surgery there had the dentist not been insistent on IV sedation. They told me I was basically out of luck and it was non negotiable. The billing person said they had to charge for the dentists time. $105 for 10 minutes is pretty good pay! I'm not sure why they were so insistent on the IV sedation, it seemed odd to me. They do of course make more money that way, but it made me a bit nervous that they were so insistent. They also have signs posted about no video or cell phones etc. The person accompanying you is also not allowed to be in the room. I'm not sure why they don't want anyone to know what is going on during the surgery. At any rate, I definitely cannot recommended going there! I ended up going to Tri-State Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Hebron where they were very professional and had no problem at all not using IV sedation. The extraction went very smoothly. I highly recommend going there instead.

After it was all removed, the gaping hole was sutured back together & I was told to go home & take some Advil & Tylenol. Lol, SERIOUSLY??? I guess I should just be happy they used novacain to numb me, because it looks like they don't believe I feel pain. I should be happy they didn't just give me a shot of whiskey & pull out the pliers!

There were 3 people holding him down by his head, hair, and arms while he was screaming getting his teeth ripped out of his head. He could hear the teeth breaking in his head! He was being screamed at to keep his legs still as they were going everywhere from the pain. The dr knew he wasn't sedated because after the surgery his dr told him to get and and go sit in the wheelchair. He got up and walked. He is traumatized and we are currently looking for a therapist and filing a complaint with the hospital but that's not enough. This dr should never be allowed to do this again. Also I had asked the front desk lady how much husband was doing after she had been away from the desk for about 15 min... she told me she didn't know cause she was in the bathroom... later found out she was one of the people hold him down!!! There was no recovery like I was told there would be. They just wheeled him to the waiting room blood still coming out of his mouth no post surgery instructions. And no questions could be asked because the Hightailed in back behind the door as he is trying to tell me what he just went through.

We switched insurance several times, but we are lucky that her clinic accepts all our insurance. I also heard that she accepts Medicaid insurance, you have to make sure first they accept it before starting care. The clinic is clean, has a waiting room even a little area for small children and plenty of parking. At the back- there's plenty of spaces or cubicles to accommodate patients. There's plenty of staff to see to your needs so there's not a lot time waiting. While waiting, there's a television in the room to entertain a patient. I also like that they have office hours on some Saturdays, it's well suited to our needs since we all work Mondays to Fridays. Since I've been coming here I only saw Dr. Barth. I think she is the only one who practices in this clinic. I like the consistency of having the same dentist as much as I can since Dr. Barth seemed she can build rapport and quality care to all her patients.

I will continue to come to this location and recommend others to do so as well!

I was surprised at how easy it was to set up a new appointment. I have been a few times now and here are some of my favorite things about this practice. 1. Its clean, comfortable and wait times are never long. It helps that HGTV is usually on in the lobby because I don't get to watch it at home! 2. I get the same hygienist every time. I've been three times and had the same lady clean my teeth. I really like her. I am not sure if this is intentional or a coincidence but it makes me feel more at ease knowing what to expect and by who. 3. The text message reminders! Part of my issue with getting my teeth regularly cleaned was scheduling it. I would always forget and was never comfortable scheduling in advance because I HATE cancelling appointments and my employment can be unpredictable. They text and remind me of upcoming appointments a week in advance, giving me time to adjust if needed. I highly encourage people to check them out. They also offer sedation for people who need that for their dental visits.

Appointments are constantly messed up, and getting answers or updates on treatment plans feels impossible. It's disappointing to leave after so many years, but I can no longer trust this office to stay organized or communicate properly. I would not recommend this office if you value good customer service and clear communication.
