I was very nervous since I had not been to the dentist in a while and because I did not yet have dental insurance. I was running about 15 minutes late because it was further away then expected and I got stuck at work. They let me back and did not give me a hard time about this at all. The dentist I saw was the son of Dr. Wright. He was super personable and helped me be at ease. He numbed me up so well that I had no pain during the procedure and did not even have to take any pain meds after. The best part was he didn't even charge me full price, he only charged me what people normally have to pay out of pocket after their insurance pays their portion. Naturally after I got insurance I didn't hesitate on who to go back to when I needed the rest of them pulled and a cleaning. The cleaning I needed was more intense since I hadn't been for one in a while. They contacted my insurance while I was with the hygienist and let me know what part was covered and exactly how much to expect to pay out of pocket. When I came in to do the procedure I again felt no pain before or after and this time it was Dr Wright and a hygienist! Dr Wright even took some money off because I had had a bad day (someone hit my car and tried to take off). The 3 times I have been there have been fantastic. I will recommend them to my family and my friends! Even though I live about 30 minutes away I will continue to go to this office.

They do not actually submit to your insurance, but use drastically reduced insurance Co pays and then require cash payment that is five times the actual cost if they accepted the insurance. Was told that I could get only one or two crowns done per year with a maximum insurance limit of $1500. They wanted over $6000 to do eight crowns, eventhough my insurance paperwork showed that I was being overcharged by $5000 plus over what my insurance would pay. When I showed them my policy, the the dentist was in ncensed that I said I was being overcharged. The staff explained that it was a lot of work to submit it to Delta Dental insurance. They kindly offered to finance the amount they wanted me to pay out of pocket. When I declined, they informed me that Dr. Ford would not proceed with the "treatment plan". Every visit, they would tell me there was something wrong with my teeth and that I needed to purchase this or that service or ortho or gismo (that inevitably wasn't covered by insurance) or else my teeth would be irreversibly ruined. After moving on to a different practice, other dentists have looked at my teeth and reassured my that things are fine and I don't need all the up-sells that the Turner folks were pushing every time I stepped in their office.

We left and when I called this same office later for further explanation of what happened, I was told the Florence Modern Dentistry was a "sister" office. We were never told the appointment was moved there. In spite of a prior poor experience at Florence Modern Dentistry, we went there and ended up cancelling. They were very disorganized and combative. I do not recommend either of these facilities although we never got for enough to actually receive any service from them.

Despite having no symptoms--no inflammation, bleeding, or recession--Dr. Ahmed Mitul diagnosed him with "severe gum disease" and recommended a costly deep cleaning not covered by insurance. As someone with a professional dental background, I advised him to seek a second opinion. A reputable local dentist later confirmed he had no signs of gum disease. When my husband called to cancel the deep cleaning, the receptionist was rude and hung up on him. We've since found similar stories in older Google reviews. Based on our experience, we believe this practice may be using questionable diagnostic practices to upsell unnecessary procedures.

However, after a claim for routine dental work was denied three times, I grew tired of repeated calls to the office and my insurance carrier. The VP of Benefits for my company arranged for a conference call. The result was that the biller had completed the claim form incorrectly. The second claim results from 2010. I have repeatedly requested to talk to one of the dentists, but they will not discuss the issues.

In the waiting room they have a little fridge stocked with all kinds of drinks, a kids room with a video game console and laptops for you to use. In the actual rooms they have leather massaging chairs and tvs that have a pretty decent selection of channels. I love their hygienist assistant, Joey, she's very friendly and funny. All the staff their are great though. Dr. Mulzer is really nice. They used to be very close to my house and even though now they're almost 30 minutes away, I think it's completely worth it.

My insurance covers 4 cleanings a year but the dentist must submit a prior authorization for anything over 2. If they deny the claim a phone call to them is required. Easy enough if you make an effort and want to take care of your patients and get paid. They put it all on me to d their job. After being inconvenienced twice, I had had enough. I went elsewhere. I would not recommend them. They only do the bare minimum for their patients.
