I tried repeatedly to shop on the website, but every ten seconds or so a video pop up would take over the screen. It repeated as well so it would not end and let you permanently get rid of it. If you hit the X to get rid of it, it would just pop up again within 10 seconds. Update. I came back to the site a week or so later when the owner responded and said they had no video popups. I attached a screenshot of the popups (from Cafe) in my original review but it wasn't there when I went back just now. So either the owner caused it to be removed, or it was some temporary thing caused by a vendor. Who knows. read more

I purchased a range, hood vent, wall oven wall microwave refrigerator, bar refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. Steve was fantastic at getting the appliances we wanted put together in a package deal. They stored the appliances until the house was built. When it came time to have them delivered and installed, they were flexible with my schedule and did a fantastic job. I could not be happier with the entire process. My 20 year old Viking stove hood finally died and so I needed to get another hood that really sucked the air out. I'm vented to the roof so that's a good thing. I found a hood at Northern Nevada Appliance that fit and cranked some good cfm's out and didn't cost an arm and a leg like a Wolf brand. It was a Zephyr typhoon model for a decent price. Trouble was it was gonna be a long wait, like 3-4 months before it would be delivered by the supplier, so I'd be stuck without a cooktop till then as you really don't wanna cook with gas and not have a working vent. The guys at the shop offered a solution as they had a decent hood that would work on floor stock in back. Older (unused) model GE, but it would work till my hood came in. Get this, they offered it to me for just $150 bucks and basically delivered and installed for free. Free cause for $150 normal install and delivery they were going to deliver and uninstall the temp hood and install my Zephyer hood. I looked up the price of the GE and it was like $450! The guys showed up on time and installed the temp hood just fine. The GE hood sounded like a jet engine at takeoff, but it sucked the fumes out great. So, now I'm set till the Zephyr hood arrived. Finally, 3 months later it came in and the same guys delivered and installed the (quieter) new hood. Happy it all worked out and now I have an extra $450 hood that I got for $150 laying in the garage. Maybe I could sell it for $100 bucks and I'd be happy. read more

We decided to purchase a new washer and dryer from NNAO. Mike was our salesman, and he was great at listening to our needs and directing us towards various options. We chose a GE pair. Mike was great about keeping us updated on the status. On the day of the install, Martin and Kevin came out and installed both appliances. They tested it with a cold water rinse/spin cycle and both appliances seemed to be working fine. However, when we went to wash in hot water, the washing machine would not dispense the hot water into the tub. Fred came out the next day to look at it, and determined that it was something to do with the circuit board. So, the following day, Martin and Kevin returned to take the broken washer away and to install a new one. Unfortunately, that one would turn on, but then would shut off right away. Another bad circuit board. So, Mike worked with the owner and had a new unit expedited from the factory. Third time was a charm! Angel and Kevin installed the new washer and it's been working great! We were getting frustrated, but Mike was able to "make it right", and Angel, Martin, Kevin, and Fred were all very professional and also wanted to "make it right". We will definitely return to NNAO for any future appliance needs. read more

We shopped quite a bit before purchasing and came back to NNAO because of the prices and the personal service we received from staff. They were awesome. Now, we have had a problem with one of the major appliances and needed service help. Again, absolutely superior. Fred knew right off from the "symptoms" what was wrong. He was correct. Great prices. Promptly rectifying a mistake is the very Hallmark of customer service and Northern Nevada Appliance has failed. I purchased and had installed 3 kitchen appliances including a dishwasher. The installers neglected to put on the bottom kick plate and now cannot find it. This company is in Carson City and I live in Fallon. Despite me having just paid them over $5,500 they do not want to be bothered coming back out here to complete the installation. They wanted to simply mail it to me to handle myself. If I was a younger person I may be able to do that. But as a senior with back problems, I cannot be laying down on my kitchen floor attempting to screw this in. I explained this and was told they could do it the next time they had a delivery here. Then I was told that happens very infrequently. Fall is here and I do not need mice sensing an entrance to my kitchen. This is unacceptable to me and I will not purchase from this company again. If one trip to Fallon is just too much for them. I would give them more than 5 stars if it was possible because of the service they have provided for me. I have purchased several appliances over the years from NNAO with great prices and successful installations which is to be expected. But when a problem arises, that's what separates an exceptional business from an average one. My most recent purchase was a GE double wall oven that turned out to be a genuine safety hazard because the racks would slant down hill and allow hot pans to slide off when the door was opened. The problem was definitely the oven construction, but after repeated requests and communications with GE, they would not take responsibility so NNAO replaced the oven on it's own. This place is horrible and I deeply regret buying appliances from them. I have purchased at least 3. I bought a washing machine since they told me they do the repairs. Now they say they don't do them. Their service person was very rude. They installed a washing machine inorrectly and I had to call a plumber to fix it. Did I get reimbursed? No. They forgot the decals for my refrigerator and after calling 14 TIMES I still don't have them. They charged me $1000 more for an appliance than the standard fee. I WILL NOT USE THEM EVER AGAIN. They were here literally 15 minutes the dryer was already pulled apart Jeff connected it put it back together and charge me $150 ! It still doesn't heat it still doesn't work so I called them and the guy tells me that they can't guarantee it because my son put the part in so I'm gonna be taking them to small claims court! I'm also going to go out and give them some shit reviews. What a rip off company.!!! So whoever referred this company must be related to someone in the company or something lol because they're a shit company! I'll be seeing them in small claims court‍! The absolute worst customer service I have dealt with. We support local businesses, purchased a $1,700 dryer from them in September, and it has hardly worked since we purchased it, even with the "7 year warranty". Once it stopped working and we called them, they took 3 days to get us an answer, only to be told we needed to find our own repair person, pay out of pocket, then get reimbursed. Since the initial failure, it has stopped working once again, with absolutely 0 support from Norther Nevada Appliance Outlet. One of the solutions they offered us was to pay them to have someone come and take the dryer down from our 2 flights of stairs to bring it in and repair it- this dryer was only 3 months old at the time We called and spoke to the manager, Austin, who was quite uncaring and unprofessional. We told him we wanted to return the dryer, but he said that was not their problem, and they wouldn't help. It is still not working, for the 2nd time, 3 weeks after we have started trying to get it fixed, and they have told us they don't support anything in Tahoe in the winter. Basically they gave us the middle finger with their lack of support BUYER BEWARE from this company if you want any sort of customer support, or expect to have functioning product warranty. Go somewhere that cares about customers and supports the products they sell. read more

I'm actually surprised by these rating. I had a wonderful interaction with the staff this past weekend and and even better email exchange with the owner. Long story short, our less than 4 yr old fridge (bought elsewhere) died over the course of 48-72 hours. First the freezer then the fridge. No one would work on it because it's an LG and apparently they're very hard to repair once they break ... Which I've learned is frequently. I was desperately looking for a fridge for days. NNAO really looked hard for me, trying to find a unit that would accommodate everything include our narrow fridge fit width. Unfortunately, no one can control the supply chain these days. Despite their best efforts, nothing easily attained in our budget. I don't fault NNAO as this is a country wide issue. But I appreciate their helpfulness, expert information of where else to try, and recommendations on brands so I don't end up like this again. read more

You can't blame the pandemic for bad customer service. Don't purchase anything that is special order. They will not let you know if your item is delayed. After three extra months of waiting for a dryer as a mother that had her dryer catch fire, if you happen to buy an item that is backordered from the pandemic they won't refund your money because all sales are final. Expect to be treated poorly on the phone and your calls not to be returned. It has been a really long time since I have had such bad customer service. I wanted to support a small local business, but in this case I was so wrong. Response from the owner 4 minutes ago We special ordered your washer and dryer. The washer is in, the dryer is on back order. We offered to refund your dryer. We offered to loan you a dryer at no cost until the back ordered unit arrives. I doubt you would get that service anywhere else! Back ordered units are pre paid in order to hold our place in line. The production schedules are out of our control. In response to the owner: Your business is in violation of Federal Law by not informing the client of delays and not offering the option to cancel the order. You offered to charge me a 20% restocking fee for a washer that you had in stock when I bought my set. Only after asking for my money back and being told all sales were final did you offer to loan me a used dryer until my order landed. If I had purchased from anywhere else I would have been contacted and afforded the option to get my money back in full. read more

Avoid this store at all cost. I purchased a down draft gas range and dishwasher from these folks and regret it. After 10 weeks of waiting when the pick up date arrived and I went to pick it up the young kid at the counter laughed in my face when i inquired when I might expect it to be in. Had a nasty encounter with the owner. They finally sent me someone else's gas range, not a down draft model as I ordered. This forced me to have to redesign my cabinets at the last moment to accommodate a under cabinet vent hood, which required ordering another upper cabinet. Had my contractor go in to attempt to resolve the matter, as I was past the point of being civil, and he received the same crap from them. My remodel is nearly complete and we still can't get an answer on when the vent hood will arrive. Worst experience ever. It seems like this common practice with these folks. Scum. read more

Steve Reynolds is the owner who I dealt with in purchasing a Monogram ZISS480DKSS 48 Inch Built-in Side-by-Side a 800 lbs Frig and see attached receipt that he handed me. It was to be delivered and installed 2 weeks later. I get a call from him a day before delivery. He said I need to pay more as the installers felt that $600 was too low and I needed to deal with them. I told him that's his problem as I paid him already for product, delivery, installation, and I feel this is a bait & switch. If you look at his response from our credit card dispute, he hand written a 20% restocking fee of $1,890.40 with a response, "We are going to charge the customer 20% of $9,477" which is past tense. He spoke that it was my crew delivering & installing though why did I pay $600 on the invoice and it clearly states "installed by Oneway" which I have no idea who that is since I'm a customer not a vendor. How many customers out there have their own crew, delivery, & installers for 800lbs frig / appliances? These are facts which are attached, period. We don't have time to post yelp reviews but for this owner I'm taking the time! So if you want to deal with an owner who flat out lies, feels he can charge you a 20% restocking fee that's not legally documented, come up with last minute charges to jack up the prices to cover his mistakes especially when you got deadlines, then it's at your own risk. We highly advise not buying anything from this business owner as now only thing is to take him to small claims court. read more

We purchased appliances here 6 years ago.Everything went well except that the dishwasher only lasted 6 years and they no longer offered repair service. So we decided to replace it. This time, we shopped at three large stores for a dishwasher and decided to choose this business again, because they assured us of a quick delivery as advertised on their web page. Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed and they were not forthcoming as to the reason why, different excuses from different persons. We were very frustrated with the run around, and they would not work with us on a refund due to the delay in delivery. Our mistake, we trusted them, and paid up front for everything. The young man was very rude and hung up the phone 3 times before we could work things out. This is terrible customer service! We finally tried again and arranged for the delivery. The installation crew were very polite and did a great job. We will NOT ever purchase here again. They cannot be trusted and unfortunately they do not value a returning customer. read more

I ordered a new stove and dishwasher from Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet in July 2020. The supply chain is impacted by COVID so it took about a month longer than quoted to get the appliances, but I knew going in that delivery could be delayed. I checked prices online after ordering and found they charged slightly LESS than any competitor, without me asking for a price match! When my stove came in, Steve proactively sent me a scan of my invoice to send to GE to get my rebate (GE wouldn't process until they had the serial number of the specific stove and we couldn't know that until it came in). About three weeks after delivery, I noticed the dishwasher door was catching on the kickplate, which was warped. Dreading confrontation, I took a picture in to NNAO and instead of the standard defensiveness and/or dismissal, the young man looked at the picture, declared "that's messed up," and immediately booked a technician for THE SAME DAY! The tech arrived, removed the dishwasher and realized that there was a 1/2" drop from the floor in front of the dishwasher to the hole the dishwasher sat in. So I went to Lowes and bought a piece of plywood, the tech marked it, and my husband trimmed it, and the tech put it in and replaced the dishwasher. It was a tight fit because the cabinets are old and made for a slightly smaller appliance, but it's in now and works perfectly! So I guess I could complain and say it should have been installed correctly to begin with, but I give extra points to a business that doesn't just take your money and then tell you you are on your own. I probably won't be buying any more major appliances in the near future (at least I hope not), but if I did, I would definitely buy them from this place. The selection was not great. They didn't have in stock the brand I was looking to purchase. The installation service was not good. I was charged for putting in ductwork when it was already installed so there was no installation. In addition, the dishwasher was installed at an angle which interferes with its operation. We bought an entire kitchen of GE Monogram appliances from this store. Henry was the sales person. I added a two drawer under counter refrigerator specifying the model number. Upon delivery they brought the wrong model. After twelve weeks of playing phone tag and listening to any number of excuses Henry did finally call me. He raised the price by more than $1500.00 and told me I would have to pick up the refrigerator and install it myself! This is a 5cf undercounter refer. Won't do business again with this retailer. I found the same refrigerator delivered to my front door for $500.00 less and it came 6 days later not over twelve (12) weeks. After months and months of trying to get a 4 year old dishwasher repaired and being relieved of $300 we discovered it was a problem they never addressed. All kinds of parts were ordered and installed but it continued to quit working. From September of 22 to January of 23 we dealt with this problem. After leaving in January with the promise of yet another new part, they just never called or showed up again. So, basically we paid them for things we didn't even need. We have since discovered what the actual problem was. That would have been so nice to know last September. We are presently, after 6 long months shopping for a new dishwasher and have found an excellent appliance repair shop. read more

We originally went in to purchase a washer and dryer for our new home approximately one month ago. From what they had in stock and on the floor, we purchased the top of the line GE Fresh Vent matching washer and dryer. Unbeknownst to the salesman at the time we took pictures of the serial numbers and condition of the units. Two weeks later, the delivery truck arrived. Upon inspection as the delivery guys were installing the machines, we noticed that the washer had significant scratches and had a different serial number than the one we purchased. Both units had damage. In speaking with the delivery personnel, they attempted to tell us that we were incorrect and that was the condition they were in at the store. Pictures tell a thousand words and the units we originally purchased were in new condition and unblemished. Upon showing them the original paperwork and the pictures, they stated something must have happened with the units. Needless to say, they were loaded back on the truck and we refused delivery. Later that evening, we went to the store where the sales manager attempted to tell us that the machines we picked and paid for originally were display models. Northern Nevada appliance outlet does not have display washers and dryers on the floor. We did get our refund, but the bait and switch; along with a fictitious story of what happened with our appliances did not meet the smell test. Later that evening, we purchased the same set, all brand new in the box from Home Depot for only $26 more and with excellent customer service. The additional price was for reinforced hoses, so no savings would have occurred at an outlet. If we would not have done our due diligence and taken pictures during the initial purchase along with keeping the sales receipt denoting the serial numbers, we would have been another clueless customer accepting what was given to them without verifying it. If you're going to spend thousands of dollars, we would recommend finding a more reputable business. Integrity and professionalism is everything. read more

Very disappointed! I wish I'd read Yelp reviews before going to these guys. I purchased a Speedqueen washer and dryer over the phone fronm NNAO. They botched the installation, failing to test that the washer properly cycled; it never worked. They were unwilling to trouble-shoot via phone or facetime, unwilling to put a product specialist on the phone to discuss. They simply told me to call Speedqueen. Their sales manager was stunningly rude on the phone. When Speedqueen authorized warranty service through them, they offered to come pick up my machine and take it to their shop and work on. But they were unwilling to send a tech to service or even examine it on site in my house. (They claimed this was because I lived across state lines, in California.) In the end, I found a shop owner in Sonora -- Mother Lode Appliances -- who graciously agreed to look at my 30-second video and two photos, and was then able to point me to the problem. The NNAO installers had simply botched the water valve hook-up. When I pointed this out to NNAO, they offered not a word of apology, took not an ounce of responsibility. Avoid these guys! read more

Our "garage freezer" was with us for 20 years, but it went out yesterday, and I panicked, after calling several different places who told me they could not deliver a new freezer until next week. (In the meantime, I had a freezer packed full with brand new food, melting..) My husband suggested I call Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet because he'd seen their commercial. I called and talked with Tony Jones who found the exact freezer that I needed, and he was able to get it delivered to me today, before I lost all my freezer food. Thanks so much, Tony! When I moved to Carson City, I bought my stack washer and dryer from Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet. It was a good product, and I had good service. When it went out, I returned to Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet and bought a full-sized, Amana washer and dryer. After purchasing the washer/dryer pair, I discovered the price was lower at Lowe's. I called about that, and the owner would not honor my purchase with a matching price. So much for having the lowest prices in town! I've had the new washer/dryer pair since 10/1/2021, and both appliances are under warranty. I've already had a technician out once to fix the dryer vent tubing, which was installed improperly when the appliances were delivered. It takes 2 to 3 hours to dry a normal load of laundry. I find that very excessive. My little stack washer and dryer took about 40 minutes with the same size load. I've been told a number of times by the repair and sales staff that it's normal to take 2-3 hours to dry a load of laundry. That's ridiculous. I made an appointment to have the technician come back out to see what's wrong with the dryer. It has heat, but it doesn't dry the clothes unless, as I stated before, they go for several cycles. Anyway, I had an appointment on a Friday between four and five o'clock. Their elderly technician shows up on a Thursday around 2:00 p.m. just as I was getting ready to get into the shower. This man should have retired years ago! I explained the problem, and he told me I needed the vent cleaned out. The vent is cleaned out. He cleaned it out the first time he came to look at the dryer! He also reinstalled the dryer vent tubing when he was here. He then gave me all sorts of excuses about why the dryer wasn't working well. He told me that I needed to remove the dryer vent tubing and let the dryer just dry without the tube attached to the vent, which meant that dryer lint would be flying all around the garage. I'm allergic to lint! But he said I only needed to do it for a couple of cycles. What kind of advice is that? I was so peeved between him telling me idiotic things and showing up a day early that I called the manager/owner of Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet. An employee returned my call and gave the same idiotic advice. We went around and around. She would not listen to the fact that I did do everything I was supposed to do, and there is no blockage in the dryer vent tubing. Her advice was to call two other companies to look at my appliances. Why? This Amana dryer is a lemon. Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet will not return it to the manufacturer, and they have no intention of fixing the problem. They have lost this customer for good, and they have lost many potential customers that I would have recommended to them. Do not waste your money or time shopping there. You will be sorry. Recently my mom was having issues with her Refrigerator making loud noises. I contacted Northern Nevada Appliance Outlet, to schedule a service call, they were able to get a service technician out to her within one day. They were friendly and efficient, the service technician Danny was efficient and friendly even though it was an extra service call he provided excellent customer service, he was able to find what was causing the loud humming noice and fixed it within 30 minutes. I have purchased most of my appliances from them as well as needing to schedule service calls, each and every time they go above and beyond to take care of their customers. Terrible customer service. We ordered and paid for a refrigerator. We were told to expect a call on Tuesday or Wednesday to arrange delivery. We got no call either day. On Thursday, we rang several times but got no answer - not even a voicemail. Today, we called and were told the following in succession: 1. The item is on back order 2. The item (fingers crossed) will be in next Wednesday 3. The item is on a manifest of items due in today. My insistence that there lack of communication with their customers upset the owner (Steve) who told me on the phone he was done with me and never wanted to do business with me again. He also asked us to come in this afternoon for a refund. Which we did. Steve had left before we could get there. Erin and Doug kept telling us the whole situation is due to Covid and we wouldn't get any better service anywhere else. I doubt that. read more
