We bought a new washer and dryer from Sam and he delivered/installed it the next day. Very happy until ten days later when the dryer quit working. A phone call to Sam revealed that he suddenly didn't know or remember who we were! He flipped us to call Whirlpool for warranty work. The Whirlpool guy said the electrical cord was installed improperly, causing the motor to burn out. It took weeks to get a new motor. Can you imagine being so careless and uncaring to not install the appliances properly in the first place? If only I had seen these reviews before doing business with Sam, we would be in much better shape today. read more

Ordered a part in may for our refrigerator. After several attempts to contact Sam with no success we waited, and waited. When we finally got ahold of him he told us quite"go to hell and take it to court, I should have called months ago" end quote. So I guess to 5he chamber of commerce I go with all my calls and receipt. read more

Sam sold my 91 years old mother, sight unseen, a Crosley dishwaher in September 2020. I live out of state. When I arrived recently for a visit, I found that the door of the DW was making a loud clunking noise every time it was opened or closed. It turns out that the installation was shoddy in that a baseboard was left too high and the door was hitting it. Sam would NOT come out and look at the problem. I had reason to call him several times. On each call, he was extremely rude, arrogant and verbally abusive (calling me names for suggesting this might be an installation issue). He actually accused my mother of falling on or otherwise damaging the DW. The "manufacturers warranty" was also useless as they had no one who would come to our location to repair it. We were forced to try to fix the problem ourselves. That turned out to be fortunate as when we removed the baseboard to shorten it, we found two different water leaks under the DW. The water line was so short that it was putting tension and stress on the water connections. These leaks could have resulted in a lot of damage and future expensive repairs to the kitchen. We had to replace the water line. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE, this man cannot be trusted. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had - over 2 weeks! I needed a fast dryer replacement before a new one came (which was taking several weeks). I called and he had one. First - he would not take my CC over the phone to deliver - I had to DRIVE THERE from 3 hours away... but he was my only choice. I figured he was old school, made it a shopping run & left it at that. Bought the dryer and discussed a delivery date. While there, I bought a used freezer too - he made out! Same delivery date. So the install was just him - we had to quickly hire help to move the items Then I gave him the old dryer - as he repaired things - he was not grateful - but certainly took it - all the while grumbling Never got a thank you for the purchase - but wait! It gets better! He was out out of there so fast we did not have time to hook them up! Now I see there was a reason. The next day - the dryer worked, but the freezer did not. Never has. The dryer however, stopped heating - 4 days later! Called him, he said he could have someone out - in a week - but it was costly for him - again grumbling. I said we just bought them! he made an appt. for Tuesday PM - I of course had to drive the 3 hours to meet him at the unit. So my team calls him to ask if they can trouble shoot the issues and he said he was too busy and hung up on them! So I drive the 3 hours to be there Tuesday - and he does not show! I called at 1PPM and he said - I'm not driving out - you can bring them to me - as if I was burdening him with this purchase that did not work! I told him I was disappointed, had no truck to take them and was feeling cheated. He said that was my problem. Rude, not old-school - but a grumpy old man with a chip and poor business practices. The owner (Sam?) was cranky at first. I went there to buy two mattress sets. He had one that was a box spring / matterss combo in one unit stored in his storage area. I had never seen this before and asked if I could lay it down to see how it felt before purchasing and he said "for $10, I'm not interested" and walked away to go back in his store. I was shocked, so I followed him to ask about the $10 comment. He said that he only makes $10 on these, so he wasn't going to drag it out and lay it down so that I could check it out. He makes $15 just walking from the middle of his store to the front door and he make $80 / hr for appliance repair. He also said that no one that sells mattresses would let someone check them out before purchasing one. Then he dismissed me and said to have a nice day...bye bye. I had driven from Reno to Carson City and now I had to leave without my mattresses. As I was leaving, I told him that he was being a Jerk and he shouted back that I was a Jerk. That I had only come in to argue with him and to never come back to his store. As a side note, it smells really strongly of chemicals in there. It is a small store with little ventilation, so maybe all those fumes went to his head. I will never do business with him and am telling everyone to stay away. He has terrible customer service, he is rude and maybe a bit crazy. read more

No matter how polite you are Sam is cranky and rude. I powered through and ignored his rudeness. I remained respectful and polite. He just has zero customer service skills. I paid extra for delivery. My husband was home recovering from hip surgery when Sam delivered the refrigerator. When I got home from work I found the refrigerator in my front yard. My husband explained that this rude man refused to bring it into the house because our old house has narrow doors and he'd have to take the doors off the fridge to bring it into the home. He told my husband he dosent have time to get it into our home. My husband reports the guy was a huge jerk. I instantly who he was speaking of,Sam! My husband said it best. Its not so much as what he says its how he says it. He is just a jerk and he doesn't care! So if you can ignore rudness and accept zero customer care I guess you can get a deal here. Called today to inquire on fixing my 75 inch TV, the man that answered the phone first said hello didn't acknowledge what store I was calling and then started questioning me about why the manufacture would not fix it. I explained to him what they had told me and he said no they have to fix it. Again I explained the reason LG told me they would not fix it and asked the man on the phone are you able to repair it or give me another place that will and the sales man hung up the phone. The lack of customer service at this place is horrible I would recommend anyone looking for a TV repair or appliance store look else where because you will not get a friendly response from the workers at this store. read more

My husband and I have been looking for a used refrigerator and were referred to Sam's. We were treated very badly. We had some questions about a fridge and asked Sam, himself. We just needed to know what he could tell us about the appliance as I assumed that he must have checked it out before he put it on the floor for sale. After asking our second question, Sam's reply was "I'd rather not sell to you." Then he walked away from us. How rude! I cannot believe that he treated us that way just because we asked him a couple of questions. I will NEVER set foot in that place again and will share this story with my friends and family. read more

I bought a stacked washer and dryer from this place. Paid for delivery, they put me off forever on the delivery. A real nightmare. Finally got the machine and it makes a terrible noise. When I called they said sold as is no guarantee. He didn't stand behind his sale or promised delivery. A real crook. read more

The reviews on various sites list varying delivery charges; Sam himself charges different amounts to come out to the same property numerous times for repairs/pickup/delivery of the junk he sells. Very rude on the phone. Says one thing, writes another on the receipt. I just wanted a washer and dryer set, paid a fair price for them and never thought I would be treated so badly when I asked them to stand behind their stuff. When I finally got him to call me back, he was extremely rude, yelled at me, called me a liar. I just don't understand why every time I call him, he is having a bad day. You are better off buying off CL or anywhere else. Don't believe he stands behind his warranty, he does not. read more

My husband and I bought a used refrigerator here because there was a "90 day warranty" included. We found out they do not deliver unless you pay $40, and that will bring it to your driveway, not into the house. When the refrigerator went out four times in a row within 6 weeks, they would only work on it if we brought it back to their shop ourselves. They could not give us a definite time they would be able to repair it because they were "so busy." They were completely rude to me when I called. They were rude to my husband when he went down there to discuss getting the repair done. We finally bought a new refrigerator elsewhere and recycled this one for $50 with the power company. I will never buy anything there again nor recommend them to anyone I know. Worst customer service EVER. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! This man is a total scam artist and a disreputable business owner. He will take your money and then not honor his warranties when items break soon after purchase. He is rude, lies and hangs up on people. He will make appointments for repairs and not show up. I cannot warn you enough about him. He has a 1 point rating on multiple google reviews, read them for yourself. He has also had 3 Better Business Bureau complaints in the last year for the same issues. Paid top dollar for a used side by side refrig with 90 day warrenty. Could not get it to maintain a temp. After 2 days of freeze/thaw I called and ask that he come out and check it. He said he would not be out tomorrow, the nest day or the next three days and hung up on me. After a week the repair guy called and said he would be out. Food had thawed and froze to many times, had to through away about $200.00 worth of food. Told the guy I had gotten rid of the piece of junk and got a much newer one from a competitor for half the price I paid Sam. I would a advise anyone looking for an appliance to look elsewhere. Called Sam to fix my washer in July 2016. He came out tried to fix the washer, but needed to order a new part. He did and installed it July 31st. Part has a 90 day warranty. Asked if he would come back if I needed him, he said yes. Seemed like a nice guy. Called Sam August 8th because the washer reverted back to its original problem. It is now Sept. 9th and have called Sam 4 times, talked with him personally on 3 of those calls. I've been patient. He took my name, phone number and address each time, asked if I would be home and said he would come out and call before arriving. I've waited each time. Not waiting after today. My time is valuable. It appears he will not honor his warranty. Will have to call another repair service (maybe forward the bill to Sam). After today small claims court is a possibility.... read more
