I had a terrible experience and not even the store manager was willing to make the situation better if anything he made it worse. For a background story, I bought a power washer approximately two months ago. This item was over $350. I bought a warranty because the sales rep assured me that if I had any problems or if it broke or anything like that I would get a brand new power washer. I made sure that I was understanding correctly and I asked them repeatedly, they assured me that this was correct if I bought the warranty. I went ahead and I purchased the warranty so that of course bumped my total even more, but it's better safe than sorry. I then had an issue with it about 3 1/2 weeks after buying it, I took it to the store and they told me that they would repair it and it will be done in 3 weeks. They never said 3 to 4 weeks 3 to 6 weeks nothing like that just a solid three weeks. I then was patiently waiting and four weeks went by five weeks went by and still no power-washer or even a simple phone call. By the fourth week after loosing business etc. I called to get an update, The lady on the phone had no idea what I was talking about and said that my item had been sent to Richmond, I was never notified which was irritating but I went along with it and she said it would be back in a couple days. A couple days came and went and still heard nothing. I then had my daughter call as she speaks better English than me and maybe I've had a disconnect somewhere. And she still got the runaround she got three different numbers with nobody knowing where that item was and then finally called a store in Richmond and the guy, Bill was Disgustingly rude. He told me that the item had been sitting there for the past couple days they had the item and I would just have to wait. She then asked well what's an estimated time, he just said, I don't know and that was it. He said call Fredricksbur if I wanted an answer, I called Fredericksburg and was on hold for 22 minutes for Alvin Jones who is the store manager. He wasn't very friendly and his lack of customer service skills really did not impress me as he really did not feel like he needed to fix the situation he simply told me that their truck did not pick up the item and he had no drivers. I have no idea how this makes the customer suffer but indeed it did. He said I assure you that item will be here on Monday afternoon, this was all happening on a Friday afternoon. I explained to him that I did not feel that bill needed to tell me that I owed any money after I even got a warranty and he said he would take a look at it when the item came into the store. I called on Monday morning and I spoke to Alvin and he told me he did not have the item no apology no explanation just the simple it's not here. I've worked in customer service for many years and have never ever responded to a customer with such disrespect and un-caring tone. He said hopefully if I can get a truck tomorrow your item will be here I specifically told him to call the number given and he did not even do that. Tuesday came around and my daughter had to call the store again, was put on hold for 15 minutes and again they asked what I was looking for and said, oh yeah it's here. I went to go pick up the item and I had to pay $43 for something that they had to do which was a simple put oil in the power washer and really had no sympathy for the whole event, they don't try to contact the patients for their errors for their time and also their lack of management skills and simply doing a truck schedule for the customers to get their items in a timely manner. And after all of this to charge us for an amount that I just think it was unbelievable and the store manager still wanted to argue with me when I went to pick up the item, I finally just gave up and paid what I need to to get out of the store because I felt like we were getting nowhere. I am an owner of a company, not only do I feel like their negligence has made an impact on me but also the lack of communication has really driven me away from this company. I would not recommend the store to any of my friends or family or even business partners as they gave me such a headache. I rather go out of my way to another store or even pay more of a price because I don't want anyone to have to deal with this sort of nonsense. I would recommend that the store tell the customers that it's going to be a fee of whatever it may be instead of just telling them when they go and pick up their item. I still am a palled by the whole situation and they will not be getting my business again. read more
