Went to see Jurassic World and Superman here. Loved both movies. Love the theater. For some reason I thought it would be bigger tho..or at least the lobby. I know, random lol, but I was surprised to see how small the lobby area is compared to other theaters. The theater itself is kinda small. Still, a great place to see a movie. We went for the matinee for both...to avoid crowds. Thank God for that bc each time we were leaving, place was packed on our way out. That made super happy to see....to see people still going to movie theaters despite what people say online and elsewhere. As a 90s kid when movie theaters were life! Haha especially 90s kids who grew up in a small city where we didn't have much to do...the movies being one of the biggest things to do... Point is lol, there's nothing better than seeing a movie like Jurassic World or Superman in theaters. Hell, any movie really. I hope theaters are around forever. So when you go to a movie now and see it busy like this place was...even during the matinee, it's nice. Then theater itself is suuuuuper clean! There was a mess up front where people spill shit and don't bother to clean it up, but that's to be expected?! People can be selfish and not even tell staff. Aside from that, it's impressive to see how spotless this place is. And at the very end of the movie, the staff floods into the theater to clean up. I know they do that everywhere, but there were like 10 of them when we were trying to watch the extra ending to Superman....which we felt weird with them all waiting on us...so we bounced and boooo didn't see the extra ending lol. No biggie. They were super nice about it. Prices are what you'd expect. Cheaper than the village, but comparable to most. That's the only complaint I'd have. Prices for theaters have jumped dramatically! Like ... dramatically! I get why they increased their prices, but ooof! That with buying a drink or whatever...shit is definitely pricey. The Coke pic I posted...medium was like ... $6! SIX. DOLLARS!! Chyle! That's a no from me hahaha! They have super comfortable "luxury" recliners. That's pretty awesome. Most theaters are doing this, I think? I dunno. Either way, it definitely makes watching the movie better. Still better than watching at home. Streaming is great and all, but ugh it's ruined so much. The staff is super friendly. Kinda shy a lot of them but they were nice. That of course always helps bc in so many (most) retail type stores/places the employees are so detached and want nothing to do with the people they're supposed to be helping lol...the people they applied to work for/with haha! So yeah, it's nice to see a friendly staff. This may have been just my first and second time here. I'll definitely be back. (Probably thought I'd say "but it won't be my last!" That would have been so corny tho hahaha) It's a great theater. I know most have already been but if you haven't...it's definitely worth it. Oh and the Art Deco-y atmosphere is super cool! It was clean and the seats are comfortable. My two young kids had a great time watching the movie! The bathrooms were clean, my only complaint is that they didn't have paper towels to dry your hands and we won't use the blow dryers (those blow out mold and bacteria). They were also out of nachos which was a little disappointing but Im sure it wasn't a normal occurrence. We will be back again!

We arrived at the theater and sat down at approximately 2:50, and the movie is already playing. Confused, I went to guest services and was informed the movie started about half an hour earlier, and the time on my ticket was somehow incorrect. Here are the issues: -Upon realizing something was wrong, I went to find an employee. Nobody is present at the ticket check in area (as it is all now self-serve kiosks). The person in front checking tickets did not have any idea and told me to speak to a manager (who was working in concessions). So, I had to wait in line (again, after we already bought concessions) for about 10 minutes before I could even speak to a manager. The manager told me that for reasons unknown, the movie actually started at 2:25 PM, despite my ticket confirmation email saying the movie started at 3 PM. After having to wait about another 15 minutes, the manager said I would be eligible to receive a refund on my tickets. Never did the manager really offer an apology for the inconvenience and did not even offer any compensation (courtesy movie tickets) until asked. This was a terrible experience....it is clear management did not care to retain a customer. Between the drive to the theater and having to wait to even speak to an employee who knew what was happening, was a huge waste of time. They were just popping a batch and I asked if they would scoop from the top rather than the bottom to reduce "old popcorn" and the abundance of salt that falls to the bottom which she did. Snack prices are so $$ now but being able to get a refill helps. They need to make sure that there is someone for REFILLS so the person getting a refill doesn't have to miss a lot of the movie standing in line.

Restrooms were clean at this time and the popcorn was freshly popped! They offer many different popcorn containers with characters and swag. Parking is ample with ADA spots right out front. It appears this particular shopping center, called the Boise Spectrum Center is trying to refresh their look. Many of the previous tenants I remember have come and gone but hopefully there will be new eateries occupying the vacant spots.

I've…read morehad the pleasure of seeing their presentations of Indiana Jones, Grease, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, 16 Candles, ET, and Young Frankenstein--so much fun! What I love about the series is that, not only are you afforded the opportunity to see classic films on the big screen (in the case of ET? Nothing better than the bicycle scene on the big screen! Seriously!), but you also get to see that film in a theater full of people who love it as much as you do! People cheer the heroes, boo the villains, sometimes shout lines ("Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."), and the whole thing usually ends in applause. Grease even turned into a bit of a singalong (Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee...). Boise Classic Movies also arranges to bring in a bar during their films, so you can get a glass of wine or local craft beer (Payette Brewing's Mutton Buster Brown was on tap the last time I was there!). The Egyptians concessions are also open for the usual popcorn/candy/soda fare. They even gather nominations on their website if there's a classic film you're just dying to see on the big screen. Once they gather the nominations, you can go on their site and vote for your favorite. I'm looking forward to end of November/December as I understand they're primed to do a whole Christmas series of classic films!! Love it! Get to it!!

Over the years they have slowly upgraded seats, bathrooms, floors, etc. It is totally different from when we started going. They did a wonderful job with the renovation. You really can't beat the price either. For $5 you get a movie, and two food items (drink, popcorn, or candy)! That means that our family of four can attend a movie and get snacks for $20! If we were to go to a movie and get snacks at Edwards or Village we would spend around $60-$80. They run a special on Tuesday's where admission to the movie is only $1 (just .50 cents more than when we were college students). Wait a couple months to see a movie, and check out OPC! You won't be disappointed.
