I've been coming here all summer and found it quite enjoyable! The pool does have a lot of rules, but that's every city pool. You'll find these obnoxious reviews from angry people throwing a tantrum, but they're just the ones who refuse to follow the rules or think the rules don't apply to them. I've seen these people being very rude and yelling at the staff when the staff are just doing their job. The rules are right on the wall and people like to think they don't exist. Jennifer has been nothing but nice to me and my family all summer. The rest of the staff has been great as well! Matthew and Dakota are two lifeguards that we see often and they always nice and friendly as well. Alex in the office is always friendly and will even lend out goggles for kids who want to borrow some for the day. The entire staff here are so friendly and get treated so poorly by people who feel entitled to everything. Note: I asked why the slide is closed and I was told that they're so short staff. It's probably because people no longer want to work here because people treat them so badly. Keep treating these people poorly and soon you won't have a pool to come to. read more

First time coming to this place with my daughter and was told I was not able to be on the deck unless I had a swim suit on as a parent even if I wasn't going in the pool. I was caught off guard as I had read the 2026 summer brochure throughly and no where did it indicate this policy. I have a bad gash on my knee and need to keep it covered. My daughter was very disappointed as we had gotten ready and drove down here just to be turned away. She didnt want to go inside by herself either. Would suggest the facility to update their policies online to prevent other patrons being turned away as well. There were also parents in the deck area sitting in chairs they brought from home who were wearing normal clothes. Staff said they were there for kids with swim lessons. The lifeguards just sit and yell at people to obey a litany of mostly nonsensical rules that aren't posted anywhere. So. Many. Rules. It makes the entire experience incredibly unpleasant. There is very little shade. Just a lot of lifeguards on power trips. One day I was there during my kid's swim lesson and they made parents move from one of the few shady spots because "they have to be behind the white line." Why??? They empty the pools 10 minutes before they close, and won't let you in to swim within 20 minutes of closing. The hours are shorter from mid June to mid-August when kids are out of school. Read the reviews about lifeguards not letting there child in deep end due to they failed swim test "they felt they were not a good swimmer/not good technique " remember, the lifeguard has to feel comfortable, dog paddling is not swim safe and they are responsible for your child AND other children, it's for your safety and they are trained on proper technique and can't keep watching your child. The front staff is burnt out from people not having cash, parents trying to drop off 3 year olds for babysitting, ect. Give them a break, if your nice to to them, they are nice to you. read more

My complex has a pool but it has been closed for over 1 year due to COVID. Living in the SFV, I need two things in the summer: AC and a pool. So decided to take my 20month old here to check it out. They have a wading/shallow pool for the young children and a second regular pool. It has a water side and a water feature but they are closed currently. It cost $4 adult/$1 child. They have outdoor showers, changing rooms and bathrooms. No locker room. They have put up tents to help with some shade. I do agree they should have more trees and sails over the pool. There are lots of rules for the children's safety: no running (can slip and fall), no swimming in the deep end without passing a swim test, no cotton shirts in the pool. One lifeguard in particular was very friendly and even gave me tips for teaching my daughter to swim. Overall it is clean and nice. I prefer my complex pool but until then, I will be visiting. read more

However, when the SFV heat got to be too much, I decided to put aside my public pool aversions and take the kids swimming. I'm so glad I did. The pools were very clean and well maintained. The lifeguards, for the most part, were really friendly and attentive. I like the fact that they make everyone rinse off before getting in the pool. The pool is clean and safety oriented. We live within walking distance; however, we haven't used this pool for over 4 or 5 years. The reasons are numerous: 1. Too many rules which make it zero fun (For specific rules read the other reviews). My kids refused to come back. 2. There is zero shade. You are basically on an open grill pit. 3. The view is not so good. You feel like you are in a cage. I prefer driving the extra hour to the beach or to a friend's house, or use my own condo pool (smaller and less clean, but way more fun and chill). Great pool and Great location but the front desk staff are.... Judge for yourself It's super scary that the front desk girl let a mother with 3 children under 3yrs old inside to swim. No other adult in their party. There is an adult per child ratio for a reason. Didn't check to see if the child under 1yr had a swim diaper on or inside their bag. Didn't know how to count and add up the total cost of money from this family. $4+3=7 The pool has been closed intermittently due to chlorine shortage which is not their faults, call ahead of time. read more

We tried out different public pools in the valley this summer . This has been the best one so far. The rules are clearly posted both online and in person. The manager explained pool rules in a straightforward manner. The life guards were very professional and the kids enjoyed the pool experience. Like many people, you don't learn too much about the rules until you get there. Here are some valuable things to know prior: 1. Cash only 2. EXACT CHANGE ONLY - they must empty their money boxes every day and do not have a lot of change. - $3.50 per adult, $1.00 per child. 3. Every child 6 and under must have an adult with them: even if they are not swimming. Swimmers still in diapers must be wearing a swimming diaper. This location does not sell them. 4. Every one - adult and child - must wear a swimsuit, no exceptions. No white shirts can be worn in the pool and they may deny you entrance if you are wearing a red swimsuit. This is to avoid confusion as to who's a lifeguard and who's not. 5. No food or drink allowed and God help you if you have someone pass you food through the fence. The lifeguards are very vigilant - expect them to call out your kid for roughhousing, running, and inappropriate behavior. Running may get many whistles and yells as there are about 3-4 lifeguards per area. Also, be aware: if anyone starts to have a problem in the pool (i.e. cramping, drowning, etc.), every life guard starts yelling for the swimmers/waders to evacuate from the pool, no matter which pool the incident is happening in. Nobody may re-enter the pool until the crisis is over. This enables the lifeguards to focus on the child or adult having a potential medical issue. Do not take it personally if they start yelling and just get out of the pool. All-in-all it's one of the better city pools. There are two pools: a wading pool for the wee ones with a nifty slide at the end and a lap pool with a diving board. read more

THEY ALSO CANNOT TAKE MORE MONEY THAN WHAT THEY CHARGE YOU - I OWED $5.50 AND HAD $6, JUST TOLD THEM TO KEEP THE 0.50 CENTS THEY OWED ME AND THEY WOULD NOT DO IT). There is usually an ice cream truck in the parking lot that can give you change, but I wouldn't count on that. I have been there when it opened and the ice cream man didn't show up for an hour. Honestly, the staff is what got on my last nerve. And I'll tell you....if one more of them decide they need to say something to me, get ready for my wrath back at cha'. I'm not sure what you idiots dealt with in the past, but I have my child under control. I'm not interested in you telling me how to teach him how to swim. I got this! I'm gonna call these "life guards" little Nazi guards. They won't let any of the kids have any fun. They are constantly blowing their whistle or screaming at the kids for every little thing they do. Back off and let the kids have fun. (One bounce on the diving board, no floats, .....and on and on and on). As a parent, I'm not going to tolerate you raising your voice at me and I didn't ask you for your advice when it comes to teaching my child how to swim. I'm a fantastic swimmer and I'll teach my son based on what I think he can handle because I am the person who knows him the best. My child is also in swim class at another place, so I don't need or want your advice. I didn't ask you for your advice and I don't want it. If you're going to run this place like a concentration camp, I'm not coming back and will seek fun and relaxation for my child elsewhere. I think they are so worried about lawsuits that they've now gone to over doing the rules on everything. Trust me....you're making a place that's not much fun to come to play. Lay off and let people who pay money to come there enjoy themselves and let the children have a good time. Your job as a lifeguard is to be there in case there is an emergency. My toddler loved the area dedicated to her age group. It was shallow and had really awesome water features. There were buckets that filled and emptied and a sprinkler type fixture that the kids could run thru. The only thing I really didn't like is the lack of parental supervision. There are rules that you have to stay with your child but it didn't seem that the lifeguards really enforced them. Children were jumping on other children in the water and being pretty rough with each other causing smaller children to get kicked or hit. I'm stating this because there were 12 + year Olds in the shallow end with 2 year Olds. I don't think that's OK and someone should monitor that. read more

First off great pool and one of the cleaniest pools in the city but me and my family came to the pool from out of state(Colorado) on our vacation since our hotel didn't have a pool. we were absolutely caught off guard when my 5 year old daughter was yelled at by the pool manager Jennifer for splashing her cousin. The whole conversation was very aggressive towards my 5 year old, she wanted to go all the way back home just bacause of her . I had to bribe my daughter to get into the pool again because she was so afraid. Jennifer kept staring down my 5 year old as if she was a criminal!!! Hello, so i went yesterday 7/9/16 to this pool and here is my review: Price to get in is super cheap and conveniant. 3.50 for adults and 1 dollar for kids. I loved that. The kiddie pool is awesome with the slide and vey shallow pool. As far as these lifeguards go though. Jeez where do i start. I understand they are there to protect you and save your life in case of any emergency but i think they take it a lil tooo far. It literally feels like you cannot do anything, they yell through their cone for any little thing you do. I was playing with my son and he was on my back and u got yelled at. I touched the dividers i got yelled at, i was trying to see how long i could hold my breath under water i got yelled at. If you wanna jump off the diving board you have to take a swimming test and show the lifeguards you know how to swim. And you cannot swim doggy patel style. Also, they are super strict with what you cant wear. All in all they are extremely strict! Not even raging waters is this bad. It felt like i was in a military pool and all i could do is sit there in the water. read more

As others have said this pool is hyper strict with rules, but the lifeguards were nice about it and even seemed apologetic when telling me some of the dumber rules (no water wings, my kids can't hold on to my back!). The kiddie pool is big and gradually slopes down to nearly 3 feet, so there's a good depth for any kid. The slide didn't work out for us because it was too tall for my scared kid to ride, but too slow for the adventurous kid. Whaddya gonna do. They both had fun on the springy diving board. Drove by this place and saw that they had a HUGE WATER SLIDE so decided to check this place out. For one, it is open to the public. It's a great place to bring kids because they have a diving board, a water slide, and water toys for the little ones. They also offer swim lessons for kids which is great. They have shaded picnic tables and a grassy area. And for the adults they offer lap swim and even AQUACISE!! Overall...it was nice. The place is like a mini water park so it's not to shabby. Staff was very nice and friendly. Definitely will come back. :) Just a friendly tip: don't forget to bring your swimsuits! Lol read more

The pool is clean and deep. Not too chlorinated. But there are no chairs to sit on if you want to take a break. Just a couple benches that parents are already sitting on. And practically no shade. It's so nice to have these public facilities for our children this pool is clean and very inexpensive. But just a warning basic rules that can ruin your trip remember that everyone that walks ( IN ) needs a bathing suit children under 4 years old needs a swim diaper, Also 1 adult per Child ...honestly I was just overwhelmed with How many rules I had to learn at the door! Really nice pool, it is fun, clean and a overall friendly environment. The staff there are all very nice, and are always helpful if you need anything. The pool is very clean and they even have their own diving board and waterside! They even have their own grass area which is some of the greenest grass I have ever seen lol. This is the second summer my kids have been able to participate in the pool programs. Their first year they experienced the swim classes and I believe it was a great opportunity for them to improve their stroke techniques especially for the price. This summer they participated in the swim team program which was another opportunity my children improved their stroke techniques and endurance to swim. Coach Fernando and Coach Brian were great towards physically demonstrating in the water how the kids should do the strokes, dives or turns instead of just telling them how to do it. I believe for some children they learn better by observing not only by listening. I highly recommend this swim program that I would continue to send my kids to participate in the swim team and the Junior Lifeguard program as well as the other swim programs offered at this facility. In addition, the pool is clean and the entrance price is low. Lifeguards are their to ensure the patrons safety. Therefore, rules and swim tests are placed to avoid anyone from a near drowning incident or injury. If people want to do as they please or they get offended bc the lifeguards are complying with their supervisors to ensure the patrons safety then it should be considered for them to go to a private pool. read more

The facility is clean and well run at the front. But the life guards are constantly screaming at the adults and kids. If your child is under 7 they have to be arms length away from you at all times. You can't even sit on the edge and watch them, you actually have to BE IN the pool. The pool is crowded. Children wear their dirty swim shoes into the water and they don't say anything about that! But if your watching your kid from the edge they start screaming at you. read more

I have take my kids to Northridge pool for 3 consecutive summers. One on the swim team and the youngest one in the swim classes. I am really happy with the coaches and facility. They are very organized, the pool and all areas are always clean. They are former swimmers beside the training as coaches, so they know what they are doing and they have always proceed in such a professional way. My daughter counts the day for summer to start working with Coach Fernando and Brian. Thank you guys for fill my kid with great memories. read more

I just now went to this pool and there were literally SO many rules. One bounce on diving board, no goggles that plug your nose, they have to see your swim suit before letting you in, must have exact change. They told me this "You cannot have the giggles that plug your nose because it blocks an important airway" Well yeah! That's what it's supposed to do! I think this pool is a very nice pool, very good for kids and I don't think there is anything wrong except it was hard to know the hours because we didn't know until now. Overall this pool has an awesome slide for ages 7 and older, cool water toys, a cool deck, shaded area with fake grass and tables, also two pools, one for little kids, the other a little deeper. I recently visited this pool. This was my first time experience visiting a public pool and I was quite impressed. The Northridge pool has a kid friendly area, slide and a larger pool for adults. We've lived in the valley for years and only found out about this place recently. We went yesterday for the first time and I'd have to give it 100% thumbs up for both the facility and lifeguards. No fuss at all from the lifeguards as long as you listened to the pool rules/policy. They were on point and paid attention. We didn't experience any negative things with kids and rough housing. The only thing I heard from the lifeguards was when the kids ran along the pool instead of walk. The man named Roy at the entrance collecting the entrance fee was great. Since we were the first ones there, he didn't have change so he asked us to pay the exact fee which was $6.50, which was for myself and 3 kids. Since he didn't have change yet, he just asked that we pay on our way out-very cool. It surprisingly didn't get crowded. My only regret about this place is that we haven't gone sooner but we'll be back quite often next year! Should have been a lot of fun with my 3yo. Great toddler pool. But in addition to the rules online and the longer list posted at the pool: you must be in the pool with your under-6 at all times. You can't sit and watch them outside. Ok fine. I went in. You must be arms-distance from your under-6. Really? The water ranges from 0-3 feet deep. I'm trying not to helicopter. read more

This is the best pool in the valley. Very clean and well maintained. I have had my kids in swim classes and swim team for the last two years. I wouldn't take them to any other pool.
