Had a mobile service tech appointment scheduled for them to come look at my car at my home. The technician was really quick and efficient. He called me to let me know when he was on the way as a head's up! Also he explained everything they were going to do once they got here and were only here for maybe 5-10 minutes before finishing up. Knocked on the door again to explain they were done and wrapping up ready to leave. Very quick and efficient and friendly techs. Lots of good communication too! They are trying to sell a loaner F-150 Lariat with 1550 miles on it and damage in the bed and tailgate as a new truck. In addition to telling us the dealer add on warranty could not be taken off. Obviously the salesgirl is new at this, but Jim the manager is NOT! His answer was, "we sell them like this all the time". (Heads up Ford gives the dealership money for using their cars as loaners!) We left Northside and went to Red McCombs, and were out the door with the same make and model (BRAND NEW OFF THE DELIVERY TRUCK) in 3 hours for $4000 less than Northside. Have a new light on in my truck. Googled the light and have the problem. Took in my truck and was told it will be 2-3 days until they can even look at it. Won't let me make a reservation for 2-3 days out, have to leave it to be in the queue. The service lady was very rude. I asked how much a new sensor would be with labor, rudely responded to. $225 to diagnose, in addition to being without a car for 2-3 days while it's not even being looked at. No thanks. read more

Spent a week trying to buy a Tacoma here and it was a total headache. They use the classic "discount" shell game--they lowered the truck price but then tacked on $2,785 in "mandatory" add-ons, bringing the price right back to where we started. They told me those fees were required, but then --finally -- sent a quote with them at $0. Total lie. To top it off, the manager Rogelio was incredibly unprofessional. He kept talking over me and cutting me off while I was trying to discuss the truck's actual mechanical issues. If you want a transparent deal and a manager who actually respects customers, don't bother with Northside Ford. read more

It took quite a while to get our car repaired under the Ford warranty which actually surprised me since usually any warranty work by the manufacturer is usually faster. Northside did the work and as we called every few days they kept us updated. Very friendly and courthouse staff. Should we need anything else done on our Ford Mustang we will go back! read more

Two reasons for my rating. 1. Before I even got to look at or test drive this pre-owned truck, the dealership said they were going to put new tires on it. I bought the truck but quickly realized I didn't care for the tires. They were Goodyear tires and they rode really rough. On top of that they were bigger than stock and rubbed if you turned tight. So I bought new tires. The problem is when the tire shop (not the dealer) went to install the new tires, there was no wheel lock key anywhere in the truck. Both the tire guy and I dug through everywhere, no tire lock key. So they basically had to destroy the locking lug nuts to get them off. I reached out to the dealership to tell them their tire guy forgot to return the lug nut key to the truck when he put the new tires on. Their response. "Oops, sorry. But no we're not paying for a new set." Imagine if I'd have had a flat out in the middle of nowhere and discovered no key when I went to change my flat. I would have had to call a wrecker. 2. At the time of purchase, the sales person said the prior owner had come in for service and ended up buying a new truck. So she didn't have the second key FOB or manual but she said she'd ask. A few days after getting the truck home I discovered a pair of prescription sunglasses and a key card in the console. I contacted the sales person so I could mail those in. She said that she had received the second key FOB and the owner's manual from the prior owner and asked for the address to send them. I gave her my home address, and we both agreed to put our respective items in the mail to each other. Several weeks go by and I haven't received the key or manual. In the meantime my plates were sent to the dealer and they in turn mailed them to the my home address. I received the plates, but still no key FOB or manual. When I raised the issue with the sales person, she said sorry, she didn't know what happened to them. She claims she gave them to someone to mail. But to this day I still don't have the second key FOB or manual. Dealership owes me $26 for replacement lug locks, and a new key FOB (a few hundred bucks?). Sales person said the dealership won't cover either. Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you own those and respond to correct them that makes you a good company. read more

It's 2026 and some dealerships haven't figured out that sleazy is no longer successful. I practically had to beg them to talk to me when I showed up to buy a car. Then after asking 4 different people for the numbers on the vehicle, sales manager Chris answered the phone. He sent Rene my way, which was the worst decision possible. He started out by trying to tell me that the added packages were non-negotiable. Then he admitted that was a lie when he decided to switch tactics and tell me that taxes on my vehicle would exceed $7K. When I reminded him that was mathematically impossible based on the vehicle price, he repeatedly spoke down to me as if I had no idea how taxes work. You are a LIAR. You are GROSS. You can't even make your building look better than an abandoned WalMart. Just close. read more

Classic add on crap. They advertise new F150s for 35,000, but then add $4000 of add ons. They added on an $800 lifetime battery warranty! They refuse to remove it. $1000 add on for nitrogen in the tires tint and scratch protection. $1195 "value shield" some kind of fake insurance I don't need. $795 for In Touch VP, a GPS tracker they that use to keep track of their inventory. Very easy to take off and they refuse. They put on a fake price to get you interested then add extras they refuse to remove to make the trucks the same price as everyone else. Northside Ford had my F250 for just over two weeks.  Hubs were grinding/churning and check engine light was on.  Caitlyn was my contact/Service Adviser.  Northside initiated one contact which was to let me know it was assigned to a tech.  After that, all communications from them were in response to me having to contact them.  Each time, there was no status readily available in the system which constituted a call back.  The first contact only told me they cleared the trouble code - didn't fix anything, just cleared the code (which can be done at Auto Zone in 5 min).  When I asked if they have even looked at the hub actuator, tested the lines for leaks or even pulled a wheel to look at the hubs, the response was "no - but will communicate that to the tech"????. Caitlyn was off for a day or so and no other technician or service advisor called me like she said they would.  I called back and left a message for the service manager, John explaining the situation and the lack of work.  John did not call me back. Caitlyn called me back and said "your truck is on the rack now, but they can't find anything wrong".  I pulled out of the dealership and within 2 miles, the grinding sound was very apparent.  Within another 14 miles, the check engine light was on again.  So in over two weeks of having my vehicle, they cleared codes.  Never checked the hub actuator component, never tested for leaks, never even pulled a wheel to investigate the issue.  Didn't test, clear or recommend replacing the oxygen sensor to address the CEL - just cleared the code like that's all it needed.  Sure glad I was without my work truck for over 2 weeks.  I'll work to find a local shop who cares about the client and who is competent to do the job. read more

Vehicle had a recall. lat November I was told to just stop by and dropped it off no appointment needed. upon arrival the next day, I was told that the was a 5 month back order on the trim piece. it's June I call again and was told that they don't know when are they getting this piece. I initially paid for this piece before the trim even came on a recall. I sent my vehicle, which I bought there, for some recalls. After a week of no calls or follow ups from Caitlin, I called just to find out that they didn't know how to do the recalls and they wouldn't gibmve the ticket to a tech that knew how to do it. I asked for a loaner and they gave me the run around a out my insurance. I have full coverage with Progressive. After arguing with Catlin, then arguing with her manager Jon, I then asked for a rental car. They finally booked it at 5:45pm and sent us over there, knowing that they closed at 6pm. They closed on us and we had to go back the next day. Then, after having to pay for a rental, they magically figured out how to fix my vehicle. I finally got my car back but we will never go to this dump ever again. Worst experience ever. Worst staff ever. Dont waste your time here. They cant even do common recalls. read more

This place has never been good but it's now exceptionally bad! My company car was towed in for a dead battery - two had a half weeks later they still had not even bothered to look at it while I was stuck in a rental for what is a simple fix! Every time I called I got some bored, bumbling service advisor tell me he did not know what was going on even though he was my 'assigned' advisor! Finally after a few calls from my company they finally got around to checking it and it was indeed just a battery! I got my car back and it was so filthy dirty it was near impossible to see out if it and Enterprise Rent A Car offered to run it though their car wash! It was also dirty inside and the tires were all suddenly remarkably under inflated. Only good thing is this is a work car and hopefully they switch it out soon so I don't have to bother with Ford again! read more

Once we hit the parking lot our sales guy was patient and not pushy. He answered questions and showed interest in our questions. He afforded plenty of tire kicking and test driving. If there was a question he could answer he was honest and sought out the answer. The buying process was smooth and the only issue we had was with "smartpay" that was offered. Took my Ford Expedition to Northside Ford for a 1:00 PM appointment on Monday for a recall regarding the possibility of a false indication that the catalytic converter wasn't working properly. Picked it up Tuesday, started driving home, and the air conditioning that has been working fine forever was not working. Drove it right back on Tuesday. The tech that did the recall said the rear evaporator coil wasn't working, but what would normally be an $1100 repair would only cost $200 as it was under warranty, and it would take about six hours to get it fixed. I said go ahead. As of 4:00PM on Thursday (48 hours so far) it is still not ready and my question at 1:30 today about the status went to voicemail with no response as yet. read more

Where to start?? 1. 2021 I purchased my used 2020 F-150. That experience was a very dealership experience. Nothing special. Had to fight for a "fair" price vs. being offered that to begin with. So no unless your cash in hand try someone else. 2. My truck went to the body shop in 2022. Where it took much longer than needed. Now the issue was out of my advisors scope. They clearly didn't have a follow up for when an employee is not capable of coming to work. So it sat without notification for a month. All aside that is certainly in the past the work in the end seems fine. However just last month I get a nail in the tire the body shop replaced with a "new" tire only to find out the tire they installed and charged the insurance was 6 years old. Which means that no one could legally patch this tire. The realization that they knowingly put a 6 year old tire on my vehicle is a clear indication they do not have the capacity to serve customers safely. 3. Technical service bulletin- Light blue smoke at cold crank. My truck began experiencing this issue. So I took it back to try their service department. 3 weeks later I go to pick up the truck. They replaced the oil return tube for the turbo which is in the TSB and find when I drive off the mechanic left a critical tube off my turbo. Turned around and they provided a more educated mechanic to replace. They also replaced my catalytic converter. Only to notice a small exhaust leak at the joint where they installed the exhaust tubes to the header pipes. Am I taking it back? No. Why? I cannot be without my truck and they clearly lack quality and supervision. If you see #2 and #3 both should have been reviewed by the manager of the department the work should have been checked by the lead mechanic. Not pushed out. Northside Auto group will not be a choice for future vehicle purchases nor service. I will not endorse them or provide positive feedback. No one should receive this level of service from beginning to end. Ford Motor company will be advised of this dealers reputation to their name as well. Don't go here. There are way better options. read more

They requested that I leave it for 2-3 days to provide time to complete the recall. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call at 10:00 the next morning stating the recall work was complete, and that Northside would be happy to deliver my vehicle to my home. Bait and switch thru bank preferred dealers. They have bank advertise vehicle at a great price. so you go check it out. They then claim it is the bank's fault for a wrong listing price and the vehicle is $3,000 more than listed. Then they proceed to tell me you have to also pay $3,800 for their protection package, which is not wanted or necessary. They actually refused to sell the car without the protection package when financing was preapproved and ready to go. Insanity! I have purchased many vehicles and never experienced such BS. We have been searching for a new Bronco sport big bend edition SUV, our search for the few in stock vehicles brought us to Northside Ford. I had done exhausting research on what we wanted expected MSRP prices etc. The model we were looking for lists for about $32,500 on the Ford website. I always expected a few dealer add ons, but I was not prepared for the blatant greed I would encounter at Northside Ford. We found the model closely matching our add on, yes dealer add on and then the money grab plus TT&L. They call it "Market Matching" an additional $5,000 dollars on top of MSRP, and dealer prep. Our salesman was a very nice gentleman, and he was very honest with us, but there was little wiggle room on price. We found a nearly identical vehicle at another ford dealership on I35 an Wurzbach. They only charged MSRP, &TT&L total savings of over $7000, so no I do not recommend Northside Ford, shop around! read more

I don't say this lightly, but this is the worst auto service experience I have ever had in my life. Our Escape had a damaged mirror, a damaged bit of window trim, and had twice refused to start or even allow us to unlock the car with the remote. After holding the car for three weeks before even starting to service it, we were told they couldn't find anything wrong with it starting. We had to track down information on the web, find other Escape owners with the same problem, and tell the service department about an update they could apply that would possibly fix it. Shouldn't that have been their job? As for the trim, they charged us approximately $1,000 to replace a piece of trim and a small rear window. That was bad, but wait--they wanted to charge us approximately $2,000 to replace a single side mirror. In what universe is that reasonable? We told them to fix the trim (it was difficult to drive without the fix), leave the side mirror (it was cosmetic only), and we'd pick the car up when it was done. When we picked up the car, it was dirty outside (having been left out and not being washed before returning it) and inside (the technician left installation trash in our trunk). The gas tank was near empty. And to add insult to injury, just after leaving, we got a change oil notice--they hadn't checked if it was due for an oil change or offered to take care of it while they had it. I will never return to Northside Ford. UPDATE: After posting this here and on Google, Northside Ford reached out to us. We talked with Kaitlin and she was understanding and helpful. Can I give zero stars? This dealership is absolute garbage. Old school bait and switch sales tactics on the sales side. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. What this review is really about is the service dept though. 2022 Ford F-150. Came in for some warranty issues - one of which is my back passenger window was rolled down and will not roll back up. Had a scheduled appt, only to be told they can't look at it for 10-14 days. AND THAT'S JUST TO LOOK AT IT! What is the point of the appt? Can I just schedule an appt 10-14 days out? Nope. They HAVE to keep it. Not going to happen. Wouldn't even bother to help me out and figure a way to at least get the window rolled up temporarily until it can get fixed. On top of this, the service women I spoke with asked where I bought the vehicle. Once I told her, she mentioned asking them because you will get better service there instead of a dealership you just try to come to for service. So basically she says they give even crappier service to those who don't buy from them - just awful, backward thinking. Ever think that if you give GOOD service to people who haven't bought from you they may want to buy from you in the future? I have already convinced 3 individuals looking for an F-150 over the past year to go buy it somewhere else and I will continue to tell anyone looking to go elsewhere. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. As an update - GO TO FORD OF BOERNE. Such a different experience where they actually care about the customer. They had me all taken care of in a matter of days and wasn't told to "Go to the dealer you bought it from." If you live by Northside like I do, the extra 20 minutes is worth it. read more

Then once I decided to check my options I went to the back and after taking all my info and account info from current vehicle lender. Which should not be done untill they start running the numbers as it is not a safe or professional business practice. Now for the good part, there were so many add ons that they balloon the price by almost 7k. Then where the guy lowballed my vehicle by almost 8k I advised that according to both KBB and CarMax where no where near that low. He bounced back saying they don't give you the proper number. The Customer Service secretary/employee in the receptionist main lobby(older white woman) is overtly rude, apathetic and dismissive. The Service team has several agents that are very sarcastic and condescending. I complained about the bad apples to a manager and no follow up, no feedback equals... no care !!! I had my vehicles for less than a year both have had to be towed in for breakdows!!! Are you serious??? We haven't received any communication that gives us any assurance that our wants and needs will be addressed promptly professionally or in any satisfactory manner. Please note; these vehicles had 0 miles when purchased. Too many red flags after spending our hard earned money during these uncertain times. I give two stars because I did get help from someone after I was waiting for my assigned advisor to come back. He was able to get me the keys and on my way. After that I can say the buck stops there. I came by this afternoon after getting word that my company's fleet vehicle I'm issued is ready for pickup. I arrive to the cashiers pickup station only to be given the runaround and told my keys are with my advisor and to go there in a tone that I catch is "why are you bothering me?" Taking that into account I move from there to full service where I am ignored by two people before being acknowledged by Richard Robertson who was able to get my keys. However, upon departing, the vehicle check engine light comes on signaling another issue and now I have to make arrangements to take it back. The result- 1. If I knew my keys are with the service advisor and not with the cashier, I never would've walked up there in the first place and just went to the advisor. 2. I now have to bring a car back I thought was fixed that now might have an emissions issue and take time early tomorrow morning to bring it back for further diagnostics. 3.The atmosphere I got that radiated "don't bother me "and "you should know". This was my company's first time bringing the vehicle here as it was closest from where it broke down and i don't know where you check vehicles out so I thought the cashier had the keys. So that's all. Maybe it was just bad a bad day everyone was having. Maybe not. Hopefully things improve the next time I need major service on a fleet vehicle. Again Richard Robertson was great on the recovery. Everything else was less than to be desired. read more
