The scariest part about Northside Ford is that they somehow have presidential awards.... can returning customers have a worse experience else where? My lease is up in a month and I have been receiving invitations to end my lease early keep or lower my payment on any new lease. I went in and after 90 minutes of playing the sign here game if we can get you this price; the salesman comes out with a monthly payment double to the one I already have. On a side note one year into my lease my steering wheel started shaking... I took it into the ford and was told the rotors were warped. I was then told it would be like 300 dollars to fix them. I asked them if this was covered under my warranty and was told no, and that water caused my rotors to warp... so I guess you shouldn't drive your truck in the rain. Unfortunately, IMO Northside Ford has gone down hill in customer service and a culture focused on the customer based on my 2 experiences over the past 5 months. I purchased my 2010 Ford F-150 from them brand-new which was a great experience at the time. However, when I was ready for an upgrade, I attempted to purchase a 2018 F-150 5 months ago at Northside. I did not from Northside but did from another dealership due to the disorganization, lack of responsiveness and noncompetitive pricing. That was 5 months ago. Fast forward to yesterday and today's experiences with the service department.... I decided to take in my 2018 F-150 for warranty work and despite having an appointment was told they could not fix my truck after having it for 2 days because they were "backed up". No problem, I said I would wait. When I called today (second day they had my truck) David, the service adviser said it still would not be ready and a technician has not even looked at it and could give me no ETA when it would be ready. I told him this was disappointing and decided to pick up my truck and take it to a more reliable dealership that keeps their promises. Not only did he not even apologize once, but also gave me a "tough crap" smug attitude when I came to get my truck. It took them 20 minutes to get my truck for me to leave. Unfortunately based on my experiences I can only conclude the customer service culture at Northside Ford is non existent in both sales and service. Let's be honest, do any of us ever feel like we got everything we wanted out of a car purchase? Seriously, I always feel I walk away leaving money on the table and I have no doubt, I probably did here as well...but that's the business. This car buying experience has to be the worst I've ever had, very bad business deal. I bought my vehicle going on two months ago, we looked at the vehicle and noticed it had no navigation card and damage to the cover piece that pops over the trailer hitch. The sales guy mentioned they had 2 vehicles like the one I wanted and one of their sales guys had bought one and switched the cover piece. Which was fine since he said both would be given to me. To this day I still don't have those items but yet they sent me my license plates when I was told it would all be sent together. I've called and pretty much got the run around and now can't get no one including a manager to get the issue resolved. On top of that the finance guy didn't make this any better. So much for POST-SALE service at NORTHSIDE FORD in San Antonio. Ever wonder WHY the sales consultant ordered the touch-up paint?! (Read below) UPDATE: On Wednesday, December 06,2017, I made contact with the liaison agent at NORTHSIDE FORD and explained the below described issues, but with a few more details. The liasion agent asked for an opportunity to speak with the floor sales manager and the sales consultant. The sales consultant was off on the day of the call so would take a day or so to call me back. I will update the next conversation once I hear from the liaison agent. NORTHSIDE FORD San Antonio, Texas : DO NOT trust, close on the deal, or take possession of the vehicle until all issues are documented or addressed. On October 7, 2017, I purchased a new 2017 Ford vehicle at NORTHSIDE FORD in San Antonio. At the time of purchase, I pointed out two issues; a slight tear (scratch) on the front portion of the plastic/rubber bumper and a color difference on the side of the vehicle almost the size of a pencil eraser. Issues that , at time of sale, the consultant said the guys (body shop) will touch it up and "you won't even notice" anything. About a month later (now November 22, 2017), and after multiple texts and calls to the sales consultant to check on the arrival of the paint, which the sales consultant claimed to have ordered, I was finally contacted via text by the sales consultant asking me to come in and have the paint touched up. The consultant, who had been very helpful and professional at the beginning, took the vehicle to get the paint touched up. Assuming the work was being done by a professional painter or body shop person, I later observed the consultant in the rear of building touching it up himself Well, a short while later, I received the vehicle and only the tear on the bumper was so called addressed. When asked about the other issue, i.e., color difference, I was told that it was previously touched up at some point (prior to purchase) by someone (unknown to consultant), and could not be touched up again. As we looked at this pre-touch up, a small dent, which is better seen at an angle mostly, was noticed under the door handle and pointed out. (This makes it three issues, and all are on the driver's side.) Obviously, I am not fully satisfied or happy with the idea of purchasing a new vehicle with dings or dent of any size. Much less, one with repairs made to conceal the damage, and made by someone not experienced in the field. Now Novermber 27th, I telephonically contacted the sales floor manager at NORTHSIDE FORD, who informed me that too much time had elapsed, and the dealership is unable to charge the manufacturer, FORD, for the repairs. Thus, either NORTHSIDE FORD or the new owner (ME) will have to pay for the repairs. Well, NORTHSIDE FORD does not want to pay for the repairs. So guess who pays? In the same phone conversation with sales manager, he asked that I give him time to look into the matter, and that I should receive a phone call from someone at the dealership in two or three hours. Well, it's now day FOUR and counting. I'm not one to write negative reviews, but in the case with NORTHSIDE FORD, I feel I should share my experience with NORTHSIDE FORD, and recommend you to carefully inspect the vehicle for dings and dents, etc. before making any purchase at NORTHSIDE FORD, or any other dealership. Stay far far far away from this dealership! They advertise one price and don't give you that price for the same exact car. Then on top of that they will covertly take and keep refunds due to you from extended warranties you cancel! I am a 100% Disabled Veteran and they claim to take care of veterans, 1 they did not even give me the $500 advertised veterans discount 2 did not give me the advertised price for the vehicle 3 took $3000 from a refund I was suppose to get in hand and applied it under false pretenses to the down payment. I thought I was buying a car for $31217 and in reality I bought a car for $34,217 $3000 over the advertised price per the internet. Veterans Veterans Veterans and especially 100% Disabled Veterans on a fixed income stay away from here. Even the finance manager will tell you he is a Veteran and takes cares of his own. Don't believe it when Veterans buddy up to you like that at this establishment. Take snap shots of all your documents and make sure they write out the actual price you will pay for the car and your down payment is correct. If you are holding back any refunds or rebates get it in plain writing. The finance guy is vague and rushes you to sign sign sign! Read read and reread. "DO NOT VIST THIS LOCATION" My husband took my Ford Flex into this location for them to change my water pump. In order for them to do this, they had to take out my engine and therefore had my vehicle for about 4 days. When I got my car back I noticed that the Ford emblem on the back of my car was replaced. The front and back emblems are the normal blue and silver colored, however my back one had been replaced to all silver. We called the same day to explain the situation and was told to call back the next day because a manager was not in and would not be back until the next day. We called back again the next day which was a Saturday and was told a manager was not there and had to wait until Monday when a manager would return. Gary Conn, the person that helped set up the initial repairs called us back Monday morning. He explained that the repair work was only done on the front of the car and that basically anything that was done to the back was not their responsibility. My vehicle was in their possession for 4 days for repairs and was also washed before being returned to us. This is unacceptable service! We have been preferred customers for more than 5 years now and Ford representatives are telling us to pretty much suck it up after someone replaced the emblem on the car that was in their possession. "NO INTEGRITY". I am sure they have Ford emblems on hand that cost all of $60 dollars for them to replace on my vehicle. By the way, people know when something is different about their car especially when they love and take care of it. Northside Ford should be ashamed for treating a preferred customer this way. They also lost out on a new sale as I was going to trade my older model Flex in for a 2017/2018 model. However, bad service is bad for business. Lost commission! When you give good service and treat your people well, people will tell a few people. When you give bad service, people tell everyone they know. This review is for the service department. I haven't had any experience with the sales team. I brought my car over to Northside Ford to have some work done on the car. I had a issue with my transmission that was covered under a warranty recall by Ford. I had called to make an appointment for service on Saturday and dropped it off at 7:30 on Monday. I dropped it off with the service writer Stephanie Rocha. I filled out paperwork, and left her my keys. I was promised a phone call by that night or Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning, I didn't get a call, not a big deal, so I figured I would give them a call to check on my car. I called Stephanie from the business card she gave me the morning before. She answered the phone and told me that she didn't have my car. She told me that I must have been confused and dropped my car off at another dealership as it wasn't on their lot or in their system... She then asked me if I had possibly used someone else's name "perhaps your mother's name, Honey?". No. I described the entire morning of how I came in with my husband and dropped the car off and she said she didn't remember me. Finally she was able to locate my car. She had it in their system under their original owner's name that they pulled from the VIN and didn't bother to update it. Told me that they would change it to my name in the system and call me the next morning with an update. I asked if she could help me with rental assistance since they needed to keep the car longer than originally anticipated and she told me "to go to Enterprise down the road, Honey". Wednesday, I still didn't get a call so I called over and again, they couldn't find my vehicle under my name. They still had it listed under a different owner, and they hadn't even taken a look at it yet. This is after they told me they would only need it for 2 days.. Finally I speak with Stephanie again and she tells me that they will need it for another 3-5 days to diagnose the issue and another 5 days after that to fix it. (if they have the parts on hand). Stephanie was very unapologetic and didn't even seem phased that they still didn't have my car in their system correctly. I told her I was going to be taking my car from their lot to a different dealer and she told me that was fine with her. That they had 12 other cars in front of mine, and it was better for me to go somewhere else. Long story short - I had the car towed to Jordan Ford. They received the car Thursday morning, called me promptly to tell me what the issue was and had it fixed up and ready to be picked up by 5PM on Friday. I will be taking my business to Jordan Ford from now on. I wish I had taken it their from the beginning. Thank you. read more

So barely 3 months ago I set out to downsize from my Expedition. I saw Northside Ford but was afraid to go to the dealership because of a couple of Yelp reviews. So I ultimately purchased a used GMC Terrain and the whole experience was very nice. It wasn't without bumps but my salesperson Jose Puentes was there at every turn to ensure I was taken care of. So was the other staff. I had to bring the truck back for detailing because it was to late the night of purchase and another salesman helped me get it taken care of because Jose was at lunch. So it's 2 months later and my battery dies. I bring it in but the extended warranty that came with my truck does not cover the replacement. I was a little shocked so I went to talk to one of the managers John Novak and he explained that a battery going was not uncommon and even happened on new cars. However even though it isn't covered by my warranty he was going to take care of it this one time. He called it goodwill but I call it great customer service. I've heard that this dealership doesn't care once they get you to sign on the dotted line but at no turn have I seen that! I've already made my purchase but whenever I come to this dealership they always do their best to help me. I'm very appreciative to John because he didn't have to replace my battery!! So thank you John and every salesperson that's continued to treat me like I matter as a customer by going the extra mile. In early June 2017, I took my vehicle to Northside Ford collision center. After talking with David Sowell and getting an estimate done, David told me to drop it off the following Monday June 19. I dropped off my vehicle and waited the 10 days they said it would take to repair. On the 10th day I called and asked for David, the receptionist told me David no longer worked there so I asked if my car was done and she said there was no record of my car being there. After being told they had no record I went to Northside Ford with the paper work I had and talked with Rob Strom the collision manager. Rob told me Rich Hanley would be handling my vehicle. The first thing after Rich said after meeting him was saying offensive things about David the person who quit (very unprofessional). Rich told me it would take a couple days to find out what stage of repair my vehicle was. So, I went home and called the Rob back and told him I wanted my deductible waved, he said he would discuss it with his boss. The next day I called Rich and asked him if he knew the completion date of my vehicle and he said he could not locate my vehicle it could have been sent to auction. I got upset and said how could that happen and Rich said cars are like packages UPS loses packages we lose cars it's not that big of a deal. So, I called an attorney and I was about to report the car stolen when Rich said they found my car. My car had not even been started and would take 10 days to repair. I went to the repair center the next day and wanted to see my vehicle in person and like Rich said it had not been started (on the windshield in white letters it said auction) and when I was leaving Rich told me he was very busy because of David quitting (Rich made a few more inappropriate comments about David) he asked me not to call him or bug him about my vehicle (the guy has a lot of nerve). The next day enterprise called and wanted the rental car back and because the car had not been repaired USAA was refusing to pay and wanted Northside Ford to pay but Northside Ford said no, so Enterprise was going to bill me for $450.00 dollars. I called USAA and after they put pressure on Northside Ford they paid the bill. Then Northside gave me a loner Truck. July 22, I finally got my vehicle back but with one last screw up, Northside Ford had the car cleaned but the guys thought it was a vehicle going to the used car lot and they threw away everything in my car including the floor mats. When I confronted, them they said they would replace them and wave my deductible. Then Rob Strom had the nerve to tell me next time pleases take my business somewhere else. I filed a complaint with USAA and they were investigating, I hope they pull them as a certified repair shop. read more

Visited Quik Lube this morning for the second time. Arrived at 6:55 AM, 5 mins before they officially open. I was told by their service rep that my 09 Kia Rondo might need "special parts & oil" that they don't have so the oil change might take 2 1/2 hours. My car isn't a Maserati, it's a simple 4 cyl, synthetic-blend using car. Also as I stated earlier, it had been serviced there once before. This service rep couldn't give me a straight answer about anything other than the "you're probably looking at 2 1/2 hour wait". Sorry but I know bullshit when I here it. Why do the service reps have to be double talking "used car salesmen"? I don't know why I was treated this way but I do know that the beauty of my money is that it spends anywhere! Traded in my 2015 mustang today for a new 2018 F-150 and I couldn't be more satisfied with the overall experience. I dropped my car off in service and decided to buy a new truck after seeing what they had on the lot. My saleswoman Sherry Buffington was super helpful and answered every question I had, highly recommend her. Overall time spent going over my options, the dealership detailing it, filling it with gas, tinting the windows, and going through financing was about 2 and a half hours which is very impressive compared to what I've seen in the time I sold cars. I also got several thousand more for my trade than what I was offered down in Corpus. Don't listen to these people on here complaining about the dealership not wanting to pay to fix their 7 year old car that's out of warranty, from reading their reviews it's obvious they're the type of people that complain for the sake of complaining. They're the type of people that ask for a manager at Wendy's because they got mustard on their burger and they found it "unacceptable," the same type of people that are absolutely baffled that their oil change takes more than 10 minutes. I only share this review in hope it prevents another family going through what I am going through. I purchased my 2019 Ford Expedition max from Northside brand new and purchased top of the line warranty. When I took it in for an oil change the company found that the front and rear shocks were completely blown. I called Northside to get it looked at the we're booked for a month out so I ended up taking it to red McCombs ford. Got it back about a month later it began making a loud clunking noise when shifting gears or pushing on the break. Called Northside to bring it in...once I showed up the service manager refused to look at my car because another ford dealership touched it I argued that my warranty states you can take it to any ford dealership to get worked on. I was 8 months pregnant at the time so I left the dealership in tears made it all the way home and the service manager calls and said he would go ahead and look at it come to find out the issue was something on their technical service board which would've been found if they would've taken 5 min to type in my vin. They fixed the issue I picked up now it is back in the shop with the same issues. I rode with a technician who heard the noise. Got a phone call today from the service manager that the noise is normal and there is nothing to fix. If this sound was normal shouldn't all fords do it?!?! He claims some do some don't. I reassured him the car did not do this when I test drive because I wouldn't have spent $70,000 on a car that makes a clunking noise. Poor customer service read more

I have had to take my 2 year old truck in twice, within the year, to have my brake rotors smoothed out. No recalls or any other service announcements have ever been brought to my attention. After reading some of these reviews, I wanted to post my positive experience. My husband and I HATE going to dealerships but this experience was pretty good. I had been corresponding via email to a sales rep and told him what I was comfortable paying each month. He was very honest and gave me what my payments would roughly be for the car I wanted. He also told me that a brand new car (same model) would be the same price as a used one I had been eyeing. Everything sounded pretty good. When we arrived, we were not assaulted by the sales people cruising the lot and my sales rep remembered the car I had wanted and got the keys. In 5 minutes were in my future car! He went over all the bells and whistles and he was not pushy..AT ALL. Because we were trading in a car, we couldn't do the financing until we got there. That was the only part that was not fun. We waited about 2-3 hours while they ran our credit and got 3 offers to present. Considering my score brought down my husband's, we were pretty lucky to get 6.9% instead of 13% which the first 2 banks offered. That interest rate put us exactly where he said we would be on monthly payments. The finance department was also very quick and very thorough. The sales rep still emailed me back within an hour several days after I bought the car and the customer service did not stop after the purchase. He even followed up with a phone call to make sure I got his email. I m VERY happy with my purchase and when the time comes to buy another truck, we will definitely be back! read more

The aura in the store is positive and energetic. Every one was honest and accommodating. I made an appointment for the fleet sale, and drove across town to be there last week. Our salesperson Mickey was lovely to talk to, and answered all of our questions. There were only 2 vehicles similar to what I wanted, but not quite. We came in, and I gave Mickey the X-plan preferred partner certificate that I intended to use for my purchase. We went back and forth a couple of times before Mickey introduced us to his manager. The manager named Eric was exceedingly rude. I told him: I know exactly what I want, and have done much research to know the price I want to spend. Either he match an ad from a competitor, or we will go to the other ford dealer. Although I had my own financing, he lied to us, stating that the X-plan would only work with in-house Ford financing. When I asked him to explain the difference between the technology packages, he lied about which was the superior package. The more we talked, manager man became visibly agitated, and raised his voice, repeatedly shouting "why won't you work with me?!" He kept the page of calculations in front of him, and rather than try to sell me anything, or sweeten the deal, he used his body and voice to belittle me. As a woman, I felt bullied and intimidated. He was angry as we left. This is not ok. While I refuse to subject my family to this type of behavior again, I have been contacted repeatedly each day since that terrible visit by many different sales peoples. Each attempt, it is clear that they are interested only in making the sale, rather than fixing the abusive behavior problem. I was so disappointed not to drive home in my own car. The following day we drove out to Bluebonnet. Many many many more cars to choose from, and the sales team were polite, attentive and friendly. My X-plan certificate was honored without a problem, and I brought home more than I originally planned, but am so happy we found the perfect car for us. read more
