My new car from NS Ford came with dealer installed window tint. When it came time for the state inspection it didn't pass because the front seat side window tint is too dark according to the state standards. In order to provide context for this review, I am providing the entire story of my car buying experience. See below... My current ford fusion lease was about to expire and I went to Jordan Ford to discuss the turn in and purchase of a new car. The person I spoke with (Scott) told me that I was upside down on my lease and the best thing to do was to let the lease expire and bring it back and turn it in then. He didn't offer any helpful advice, options or discuss the purchase of a new car, which I told him I wanted to buy. I even specifically told him..."are you sure, because once I leave, I'm not coming back", to which he said, that's all I can tell you...good luck. I left Jordan Ford and drove straight to Northside Ford where David (Sales Director) and Marty (Sales Associate) were very helpful, told me about the "Early Bird" program where I could turn my leased car in early and Ford would pay the remaining 3 monthly payments. They then told me about all the other current incentives being offered on new cars. When they didn't have the car I wanted on their lot, they contacted another dealership in Houston and had the car delivered in 2 days. I turned in my leased car and didn't have to pay the remaining 3 payments and purchased a new car yesterday, with multiple incentives applied. Jordan Ford didn't inform me or offer any of this information. My entire experience at NS Ford was outstanding, including the professional attention I received from Trey when completing all paperwork. Excellent experience at NS Ford! I will never return to Jordan Ford and NS Ford just earned a customer for life. read more

So, 12 days later....... I have received apologies from both Scott Gilmore, Finance Director and Matt Starnes - Digital Director (responded to my original review). Both have indicated they want to do what they can to address the situation. Other than my in-person visit with Scott I have not heard from him other than a couple of emails stating of additional items they needed from us for the lender. I sent Matt an email yesterday but have not heard from him yet either. My original review was very factual and now I have even more to add. We were put in a position that in order to get a vehicle my husband wanted we had to purchase from Northside because I could not afford to shop somewhere else due to the fact that a different dealership would also have to do a hard hit credit check which would drop my score again. 12/11 my husband took off work to finalize the deal because we were guaranteed the deal was done to our satisfaction. Of course that was not the case so he spent unnecessary time at the dealership and away from work....more lost money. Therefore, we got the truck but with a $50 more a month payment and an extremely high interest rate. We signed the final paperwork on 12/12/15. All done.....NOPE. After we signed the final papers and left the dealership we were called and said there was additional paperwork that they needed from us to verify address/PO Box for the lender. Another unnecessary trip on our part. As of 12/17 I am still trying to jump through hoops to get them what they need for the lender. I am exhausted and at this point ready to tell them to just come get the damn truck. The amount of time I have wasted, the amount of gas/money I have used making multiple trips back and forth to the dealership (120 miles round tripe), the lost money from my husband missing work.....all I can do is think I have a big sticker on my back that says "dummy". read more

my cars serpentine belt decided to break while driving home from work and I called around to see what dealerships were able to fix my car as soon as possible. I called northside and I was told by the girl on the other line I could take it into the quick lane and it would be a one day job. WRONG. I have the car towed in, the service writers in the quick lane office were rude to me( I'm 22 btw) it felt like no one wanted to actually help me out and were just trying to get me to move to the service dept instead of the quick lane. so I went to the actual service dept and the service advisor gets all my info and then tells me that they're aren't even gonna be able to look at my car until Saturday !???? I had my car towed in cuz I literally can't drive it and was told it was gonna be a one day thing. this was on a TUESDAY! so I had no option but to leave it there. I work 6 days a week and now I have no car. Saturday rolls around and my car was still not looked at. The day I'm writing this review is Wednesday a literal whole week later and they just now looked at my car but still don't have a diagnosis. I drive a Ford Fiesta there's not a lot to look at. Also, I was told there are no rental cars or loaners, I've literally had to ask my coworkers to take me to work for over a week now. Took my 2013 Ford f-150 for some repairs They said i would have to leave it which i had no problem with. Little did i know one week turned in to two weeks and every time i called no one could give me a answer why it was taking so long second week turned int a third week by this time i'm calling every day and still no one new what was going on and finally spoke to someone and said they were waiting on a part. I would figure for a 2013 they would be able to get parts it's a ford dealership if they can't get a part then who can will another week goes by it's been a month paying for a rental out of pocket cause my insurance only covered the first week To make a long story short 38 days later and a $2300.00 dollar bill. pick up my truck not washed for a month, inside was filthy and the person or persons that worked on it left their greasy fingerprints all on the dash doors and steering wheel one of the issues taken in for the ac well it was exactly the same from when i first took it in i was so upset couldn't even think straight. The week prior of dropping it of i had my truck detailed i take pride in taking care of my things. I wish i could say the nightmare was over but when i got home my wife noticed that the rear bumper was looking bent well as i went to take a look at it it looked like someone backed up into it or vice a versa but the had a huge dent on it that it bent the entire bumper. First things first , when you come to this ford dealership make sure these ladies or even any employee do their job correctly , especially from the service department. Got attended by Shauna Day from service last Monday and she told me to bring the car in for a recall on Friday that same week so I did . My husband and I brought the car in ,left the keys to a younger lady which she told me they will possibly finish it by that same day or if not by Monday or Tuesday of next week and they will give me a call when it's ready so I'm like okay that's fine . Once Monday finally arrives an employee calls me saying that they had the car done but not the paperwork so it will be done on Tuesday and Shauna should be calling you soon . Tuesday comes around not a call from Shauna so I decided to call them myself and once someone answered from service I had told them I was waiting for Shauna to call me regarding my car ,almost the whole day before closing time and the employee that did not know had told me that she will let Shauna know to give me a call back after she was done with the customer she was with before the end of her shift . Called an hr later Shauna was gone for the day the other girl which i did not know her name said she left for the day and did not even let her know . Finally got a hold of Shauna Wednesday March 2nd and had told her about me trying to reach her so many times that she doesn't even know what I'm talking about or she never got a notice about it . Never called about my car , NOTHING ! Lack of communication within the service department and taking way too long to answer . So basically all I'm saying is this Ford dealership isn't worth it to get a recall or any kind of service tbh . Stay away from the service department. Ive been trying to get a copy of a reciept for 2 years damn near 3. After several lies I got it 3 jan 2017. Only to be told that guess what the time for reimbursement ended back in July 2014. I started all of this in February 2014. Yesterday 1/3/2017 I spoke to the service manager who was rude and dismissive. Ive left several voice mails on the GMs number yet no returned call. Took my truck in for a 30000 mile service, was told I needed 4 other services done that weren't covered in my extended service contract. Come to find out after talking to service manager, these 4 services were merely dealer recommended not ford's requirements. They would've cost 770.00, after a long discussion I opted out of those and when I was called to pick up my truck the wipers weren't replaced which is covered and that I needed, truck took about 3 days to start normally as it did before they so called serviced it which included fuel filter replacement, and though they stated that they topped off the DEF I went less than 2000 miles before light came on and I had to add 5gals, lastly when I opened the hood I noticed that only 2 of the 4 airborne clips were actually clipped back after they replaced air filter. This place is not a stand up dealership and the extra things they say needs to be done on services is them not following ford's recommended items. Beware the body shop! They took 60+ days on my wife's car and the process has been horrible. Due to such service, I would like to state that I will never purschase or do business with any type of northside dealership or bodyshop. There is an abudance of competition and as a consumer you deserve to be treated rightfully. Now the process, since we got there my wife has been dealing with a gentleman named Rich Hanley. Beware of this guy. Rich is a rude person and does not make the process any better. Now in the body shop industry it is not uncommon for bodyshops to encounter roadblocks during the process, pair that up with horrible customer service and its not a pleasant experience. On top of that the past three weeks due dates have been given that have been incomplete. It would help to work with someone that will give you an honest time estimate and would complete tasks in a timely manner. We tried to talk to the GM of the body shop Mr. Strom, but hes never there. If you ask for anytype of communication to let out fustrations that you will have as a customer, you will be lead to the wrong path. Its been over 60+ days and the vehicle is still not ready. And it was supposed to have been ready 3 weeks ago. And they will not cover rental over the 30 days limit. At the moment we are in talks with laywers for reinbursmen of expenses after the bodyshops deadline. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with this unprofessional business that will cause you a lot of grief, and look for a more amigable business where you know you will get the service you deserve. read more

Wish I could rate it less than 1 star. My husband and I bought a new 2020 Ford raptor from this location. When the process was starting I felt like a valued customer and part of the team when they wanted to make a "sell" but as soon as we left with the truck it felt like we got brushed off. They got the sell they wanted and our nightmare started. We've had several issues with our vehicle but fast forwarding to the current issue we have encounter. Our vehicle has been in the shop for 3 months! During these 3 months not a forman, engineer, mechanic was able to detect the drainage of our vehicles battery. I had to personally contact Ford manufacturer to get answers who figured out the issue in less than 3 days. Aren't the workers trained to work on Ford vehicles? Why didn't they find this sooner? Charles; which was the first rep that was helping us, would at least contact us a few times per week (first month) and inform us that there were no update on our vehicle. After that month Charles got transferred to another department and left our vehicle in the hands of Richard, Austin and Michael; which we were told were managers. What is frustrating is that we don't get any update if it's not for my husband and I contacting the shop 5x times/ day or personally driving to the dealer. They are so irresponsible and inconsiderate. The last time we went to see the status of the truck Richard showed me a list of customers that he had to call; which is so unprofessional but I'm not going to get into that. I get it, it might be understaffed but it doesn't take a whole day to place a phone call it's been months' We gave Richard the option to email us, text, or a simple call to give us updates. It's been a week and he has yet to do so. I have to contact Ford manufacture to contact him to get answers. If you want to feel like a valued customer or feel happy on your new investment do yourself a favor and drive the extra miles to another dealership because this is not the one for you. As an owner of a Ford 500, I got a mailing recently telling me that they'd like to buy my vehicle I AM in the market for a new car so I decided to check it out. My Ford needs a new back bumper and bodywork done on the right rear quarter panel. It also needs some minor attention paid to the front bumper which is minimal. I'd had an estimate for this work and knew the approximate cost that the dealership would have to invest in making the car saleable. I looked at a Fiesta, and was very surprised at the offer they presented to me. I'd thought that high pressure sales were a thing of the past. Apparently not at Northside Ford. I had to ask multiple times for my keys back so I could leave. Next stop is Red McCoombs where we've bought several vehicles without a hassle! read more

BUYER BEWARE!! When we leased our 2018 Ford Escape Titanium from Northside Ford we purchased a bumper to bumper maintenance plan. We have been taking it in for service every six months and the plan was recognized. Today however we were told that the maintenance plan only covers oil change, lube and 22 point safety check. The service techs were telling all lease customers "that Is all that is included" as people were arguing that they were told differently. Well now it seems like I'm paying $85.00 every six months for an oil change and lube only!! I could have saved a whole lot more NOT paying for a maintenance plan that covers literally nothing!! So disappointed in this dealership!! Will now consider other vehicle brands when my lease is up!!! read more

Let me start with I wish I could give them 0 stars. My name is Edgardo Zavala, and I HAD TO WRITE THIS. I will try to make this as short as possible so people can read it and understand and beware of this place. In October of 2014 I traded in a ford f150 that I bought from them. The truck had been having issues and I was getting 13mpg on the highway. After emails between the salesperson ( Larry Ramirez) the only guy from this place who has been GREAT in all this, told me to bring the truck and that he would work with me. October of 2014 I traded in the truck and got another f150 newer model 2014. Larry worked everything out to get the truck to my budget monthly payment. Up until here everything was going good, it was once I was out and no longer a "paying customer" that everything went downhill. During the time I got the truck, this dealership was running a promotion of a $500 academy giftcard which I was excited to get (with christams coming soon). I did not get one, and I quote the financing guy words. "we gave you too much money for your trade in truck". WHAT? How is that my problem? I was told that they would reimburse me the extended warranty I did not use with my traded in truck.Comes November no check. I emailed Marc Canlas and he told we he would look into it and refund me the prorated amount. Comes December, I emailed Marc once more, no response. Comes January I emailed Marc and ask him if he needs anything from me to get my refund, no response. Comes February and I emailed Marc telling him that getting my refund back was part of the deal to get a new truck. Response I get from him on email after 4 MONTHS and I quote: Please direct your emails to kstarns@nsford.com WHAT?? ARE YOU SERIOUS? GUESS WHAT? I am tired, I live 550 miles away from the dealership so I am thinking I need to show up. Spoke to Richard in financing and they told us they had mailed a check back in November! So all this time somebody could have told me that, cause obviously I never got the check. Comes march and I receive check after calling them couple of more times. Check I get was not the amount I paid for initially. So to avoid a misunderstanding thinking maybe I am wrong, I asked my salesman if I should be getting the full amount back. He told me I should if I never made a claim. SO comes march 11th I called and left a message. I called every day up until today March 20th leaving voice-mail every time I called. No one has had the decency of calling me back. SO PLEASE they will treat you very good up until you are no longer needed. This is coming from an entrepreneurship guy who deals with customers on a daily basis, and NORTHSIDE FORD, this is NOT how to run a business or treat former customers. IT IS A SHAME!! Given the fact that I'm not even being given a chance to do business with this place, they still get 1 star. I've been trying to get price of parts/installation for my Mustang Performance Pack 2 (cold air intake and tune). I've called multiple times over the past several weeks and get transferred all over the place and alway end up at Sam Gonzales's voice mail box. I've left several messages and never received a call back. The guy has never answered the phone. This is the only Ford service shop in San Antonio that will do this kind of work, but at this point I will drive to Houston or Dallas to get the work done or even have it done at a performance shop. I went to Northside Ford to look at and possibly purchase a 2016 Mustang with an internet price of $43,397, they first came at me with a price of $47,075, what happened to the internet price? After saying no, and telling them that it's way over the asking price on their website they came back with $44,500. It was extremely insulting and I do believe they were trying to take advantage of a disabled vet. They also offered me the lowest blue book price for my Jeep Wrangler which is in near perfect condition except for a cracked windshield. Please look out for yourself when you go to this dealership and don't allow them to take advantage of you like they tried to do to me. read more

This review is for the sales department. I'd been looking for a new Ford Focus in the San Antonio area for a few weeks - I'd start by calling around for pricing and options before scheduling an appointment to go to the dealership in person. After reviewing the so-called "Internet Price" at Northside I decided to call and ask about it as their price was substantially lower than other dealers in the area (hindsight - usually if it seems too good to be true, it probably is). I spoke with Lauren over the phone (note that she is NOT a salesperson, just an Internet Sales associate who will transfer you over to someone else the minute you step in the dealership) who ASSURED me that the "Internet Price" did NOT include dealer-added extras like nitrogen tires, window tinting, etc. I was concerned about this because other dealerships in the area (i.e. McCombs Ford) add these extras directly into their price whether you want them or not. Lauren assured me several times that these add-ons were not automatically included in the price and were optional. She also 'ran my credit' (I highly doubt this occurred, based on what happened later) and she again assured me that they could get me my ideal monthly payment. Based on this faulty information from Lauren, I made an appointment to come in and look at some vehicles. She provided me with some 'stock numbers' which I brought with me. Things changed pretty quickly once I got to the lot. As I mentioned, she transferred me to another salesperson immediately, who told me that all of the stock numbers I had referred to cars that had conveniently 'just' been sold; I had three different cars in mind and all of them were gone when I came in. Next I found out that the 'optional' dealer add-ons were automatically included in the price, and in order to get the "Internet Pricing" I had to tack on $2000 in add-ons that I absolutely did not want or need. My salesman Marty told me that I could get the car without the add-ons, but then the "Internet Pricing" discount would not be applied and the car would cost exactly as much as if it did include the add-ons. Not much of a choice in my option. To top everything off, the monthly prices than Lauren provided were substantially off from what Marty provided - very likely because of the cost of the add-ons that Lauren stated would not be included in the price. When I pushed back on the price and monthly payments, Marty brought in a sales manager (Charles) to try and close the deal. I have to say that this was the worst part of my experience at Northside Ford (even worse than the misinformation and run-around I described above). Essentially Charles told me that "I would not find a better price on a Ford Focus in the entire United States of America" and implied that I was foolish for trying to do my homework and get a better deal. It was the epitome of talking down to someone. I don't know if he realized I had purchased several cars in the past but he certainly treated me as someone who didn't know anything about the process. In fact, the prices at Northside Ford did not reflect the best deal out there and I finally purchased my car from Jordan Ford at the original pricing I requested from Lauren, Marty, and Charles, without the window tinting, alarm system, and other add-ons that I did not want or need. I took the time to describe my interactions with Northside Ford sales in detail because people deserve to know that their "Internet Sales" pricing misrepresents the actual price you will pay for one of their cars. On top of this, the tactics they use to get you in the door are questionable, and once you're there they will use hard-pressing sales techniques to get you to sign for things that you may or may not have factored into your car-buying decision. Knowing this up-front would have saved me a lot of time and energy (i.e. I would have bypassed them entirely and taken my business to another dealership right away). read more

In early November, our 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid wouldn't start. 2nd time for this problem in 6 months.. Had it towed to Northside Ford - again. Diagnosis - suspect the high voltage battery is discharged. Not a big surprise to us - it had been in our garage for a month. Then the shock -$850 to test the battery. The codes they were reading indicated it was defective. I didn't even ask the prce of new one, Have seen posts of Ford wanting $8000 plus. We ordered a refurbed battery from a 3rd party. Northside graciously installed it for us for $500. It presented the same codes, but at east the engine started. Northside said the refurbed battery was defective. Best hybrid Batteries, the seller, promply sent us another. Northside installed it for $350. Same codes. Vehicle runs OK but the"wrench" indicator is on indicating a problem. Vehicle was in the shop 5 weeks. Northside said they would confer with Ford abut what the problem could be. We took the car home, have been driving it "wrench" light and all. Two weeks later I called. They hadn't heard anything but would ask Ford again. A couple days later they asked us to bring it in for some tests that Ford suggested. Report - all test were good. They would ask Ford for more instruction. I requested a copy of he test results. Was told that the tests were proprietary to Ford and they couldn't release them without Ford's permission. Said they would ask permission to release them. A week later - For is suggesting more tests. The shocker - the want $270 so they can pay the technician to do the tests. I was given a phone number for complaints to Ford. Obviously the wrong number - "The vehicle is out of warranty and we have no recalls programs to assist you. If you are unhappy with the $850 price to test the battery, you should complain to the dealer." (almost exact quote). So the shorter version of this is I am out over $3000 and driving a vehicle that has a problem Northside Fod doesn't understand and their solution is that need to write them checks for them to keep scratching their heads. Lesson - don't tke a hybrid to Northside Ford - they don't know what they are doing. read more

I walked in to talk about a simple fix on something fixed under warranty. I had no appointment since I couldn't get a call through (I guess they don't answer their phones here either! Typical Ford!) the man at the desk was already standing up to walk away before he saw me waiting and asked impolitely what I wanted. When I told him I just need a replacement key because it was breaking after a few days of me owning the car he rudely said there were no technicians available and told me to come back the next day but that I would be waiting two hours because I didn't have an appointment. I told him I worked and it wasn't going to work and wanted the hours for the next coming days since this dealership was on my way home. He was so rude, disrespectful and clearly didn't care about customer service nor my issue. Being a simple fix I thought they would be more than willing to help, clearly I was wrong. read more

My real problem with this dealership is expectations. I've owned Lexus and expect that class of service at the dealership, and Ford doesn't come close. Ford's overall problem is that they don't differentiate customer expectations based upon the vehicle. I shouldn't have to be carded to use my VISA, or wait in line for 15 minutes while the guy in front of me tries to wire money to pay his bill. This doesn't happen at Lexus and it shouldn't happen when you own a Ford that costs as much as a Lexus. At Lexus my car is returned to me vacuumed, I can use their computers and enjoy their coffee bar. As for the service writer, nice guy but not my guy at Lexus who solves problems for me. My next vehicle will be another Lexus, too bad they don't make trucks. read more

I am a young car enthusiast and after buying a used 5.0 Mustang from these guys, I have had several issues with the car and brought it back here because I purchased a warranty through them. Every time I have brought my car in for repairs, they have taken way longer than promised to get my vehicle back to me. On top of that, my vehicle seems to come back with issues it never had before every time. They have left dents in the side and refused to fix them because I did not have pictures proving they were not there before. They have scratched my expensive rims when returning my car to me and I had to send my car back for even longer to get that fixed. I dread having to ever bring my baby back to this dealership because I care a lot about my car and if you do as well, please do not take it here. Worst service ever. read more

Yesterday I took my car to Northside Ford for an oil change and was very please with the service to the car and customer service provide except the only thing I would say is maybe Northside Ford could invest in having bottle water accessible to the customers in the Quick Lane are. In the service or Quick Lane area the provide coffee and a nice seating area however when I looked around there was no bottle water for purchase or free for the customers. However, upon asking one of the gentleman at the desk for some water he gladly provided me some, but he had to go get it out where the guys where working on vehicles. Other than that great service. Got there at 7:30AM there were only 2 other customers in the waiting area and I was out of there by 8:30AM. The also vacummed out my side of the seating area as well. BE AWARE! I cant speak for the sales department, but DO NOT take your vehicle here for service. Their mechanics do not know what they are doing. We recently got our truck back from getting an alignment and thank goodness my boyfriend knows a lot about his truck. Turns out the mechanic did not tighten the lock nuts on his front steering......what does that mean?? Essentially at any time his steering and wheels could lock up and flip over or who knows what. When he called and talked to them about it, they were freaking out. Offering him all sorts of free stuff, and saying they'd fix it for free. No thanks, dont think we will EVER bring the truck back to your poor service, and mechanics. Not to also mention, they broke his side mirror and offered to replace that, but only when they found out they screwed up. Save your money and possibly your life and go somwhere else! read more

dont take your vehicle in for warranty work at northside ford unless you want to get jerked around. they will keep it forever. going on 9 days and they haven't even touched it. my vehicle still sitting out in the back lot when they told me it was in the bay. read more

Super duper hate car shopping with all the back n forth with financing, number crunching, etc..., but today was great. Purchased a Ford Escape and Robert & Austin were our sales people. They were super friendly, respectful and courteous. They pointed out all the features we needed, listened to our wants and needs while never being pushy or "salesman" like. Very personable. The finance process was super quick and we left with a car that same day. Thanks Robert and Austin for a great experience! We had the misfortune of being involved in an accident and needing repairs for our vehicle. Our insurance company led us to Rich Hanley with Northside Ford's Body Shop. Mr. Hanley was very professional and kept in constant contact with myself and my husband from beginning to end. He went above and beyond anything we expected. He was always professional and courteous with us from our first to last meeting and anything in between. He kept us informed of everything being done to our vehicle. I called my insurance company and got my deductible dropped because of the special circumstances of my accident. Not only that but I now have a claim against the responsible party. The first agent did not ask for all the information of my accident. After calling back I now have the other parties insurances​ company taking action against its own insured. I just moved back to San Antonio and needed an oil change so I came here and the service wasn't bad. I walked in the service area and was directed to where I needed to go; from there the service desk agent was very friendly and was able to get my car in very quickly. The wait was a bit long, but I didn't have an appointment so it was to be expected. Everyone was very nice and I really liked the coffee area they had. read more
