He resanded and refinished the floors to achieve one uniform color, saving me a significant amount of money compared to installing a new floor. Joe worked entirely on his own, carefully protected everything, and cleaned up thoroughly each day. He has a great personality and strictly specializes in hardwood flooring, which truly shows in the quality of his work. I later referred Joe to a client with a million-dollar home who was told by several companies that she needed all new floors. Joe refinished them instead, saving her a lot of money, and several of her neighbors ended up hiring him as well. Joe also refinished the floors and stairs in my second home. Luckily the animal never seemed to make it into my house since it found a bunch of books where it chewed the hole, but the second hole it chewed almost made it through to an area with nothing blocking the animal from getting into my house. I needed to get someone to repair this fast and tried my roofing and siding companies, but they didn't do small jobs like this. I found Spectrum Home Services from a web search and saw some positive reviews, including a couple here on Yelp. I called up and left a message. Frank called me back within about 30 minutes and we discussed my problem. He said he would be able to do the job and asked for some photos so he could estimate. When I got home, I took the photos and sent them. I got a very reasonable estimate the next day and scheduled the job. I didn't have to wait too long for the job to be scheduled -- they came out within about a week. The worker who was sent out was very professional and did a very good job fixing both the outside and inside. It all looks back to normal, as though there was never a hole in the wall. He worked very efficiently and was finished within a couple of hours. Payment was very easy -- I got an invoice in the email and could pay online through Quickbooks. It's hard to find good companies who do small jobs around the house -- I definitely had a very good experience with Spectrum and would use them again. They are highly recommended. It's a four or five star company for me.

We also had him swap out 4x4 columns in our basement to 6x6 columns, and they also did an excellent job at that. He also did some other minor work, like adding a water heater flue pipe. Extremely professional, organized and more than competent. A job very well done. And I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Despite clear and indisputable evidence that his actions caused all of the damage I claim, Mike refuses to take any responsibility. He makes claims, but has zero evidence to support these claims. Even more concerning, Bussie Contracting Services is an illegally operating business that is NOT licensed as a residential contractor in the State of Georgia, which is a clear violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-41-2 and § 43-41-17, which require a valid PLB-issued license for residential projects exceeding $2,500. My project was well over that amount. As a result, I am currently preparing to file a formal complaint with the Georgia Professional Licensing Board, which has the authority to: * Investigate and take legal action against unlicensed contractors, * Impose civil penalties up to $5,000 per violation, and * Shut down unlicensed construction businesses and prohibit them from operating in Georgia. If you're considering hiring this company, verify their licensing status carefully. I strongly advise others not to make the same mistake I did.

Two informed me that "no" I could not have a drywall ceiling, that I was stuck with a drop ceiling; "no" we can not put a pocket door in this wall; "no" we can't remove a wall. And then there was Mike! I knew from our first telephone conversation that he was the one! I was right! I have a beautiful tray ceiling of drywall, I have a perfect pocket door and there is no more divider wall. Mike spent 1 1/2 hours with me in my basement during the bid process. He is one of the nicest men I have met. He is kind and thoughtful. He listens and then translates builder language into words that I could understand. Mike was so thorough! He noticed a wall that had been built incorrectly and suggested he rebuild it correctly. This will allow me to mount a TV on that wall! He took the time to remove several of the existing drop ceiling tiles and really looked to see what was happening above the tiles and said "yes" we can do a drywall ceiling. Mike suggested other little things like where I planned to mount the TV and he installed the outlet high on the wall to avoid the TV cord being seen. He suggested moving a wall out into the room 20 inches so that the future bathroom would be bigger. I never realized how small that bathroom would be, but Mike did, and his idea was perfect. There were also so many extras that Mike just took care of for me that saved me time and money. I really appreciate his kindness! I am blown away by my new basement. It used to be dark and dreary, and I never used that room. Now it is my favorite room in the house. Bussie started the day they said they would start and finished one day earlier than expected and even came in UNDER the original budget. You will not meet a nicer man and he will do what he says he will do and even go the extra mile to make the customer happy! I can't wait to have Bussie Contracting back to my house for a porch rebuild, kitchen and bathroom remodel as soon as possible!

He said he would go back and work out a floor plan and pricing estimates for what we had discussed. He did let me know that they were behind on some projects, and we discussed that it was not an immediate need, but he said he would get back to me in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed and I reached back out. The person I called said he could see that it was being worked out and to just give it some more time. It's now been 7 months, and have given up believing I might eventually get a quote.
