I went to Northwest Urology on La Cholla, and Orange Grove. They "are" Northwest Allied Physicians. Same company. They are NOT good! I have been going to Urologists for 14 years. With every office visit, I was required to leave a urine sample. This is the first time they didn't want one. I thought it was standard practice. A staff member told me later that they had no supplies, so unless I had a UTI, they wouldn't take a urine sample. Fun fact, you "can" have a UTI without knowing but a urine sample would show. Could I call this a Catch-22? They even rescheduled my appointment twice. Just one hour before my appointment they called me to say said she had car issues. Had I done that to them, they'd charge me $60. Also, although they are in my insurance's network, I still got a bill even after my co-pay. It was a simple quick office visit. It's always been covered by my insurance. I think their billing department may have coded it improperly, or maybe... double-billed it? Guess which department is impossible to get..... Billing! No answer to my phone calls, no returning my messages, no returning portal inquires.... Just a text that says "Due Now"! Sadly, nothing I say will make things better. read more

I'm so sick of unreasonable healthcare in the states. I pulled my shoulder moving. That's it. I went in to see if they could do anything, $50. Was referred to another office because there was no X-Ray machine at the one that was available. That was another $120. And today I just got hit with another $217 bill 2 months later. Guys, you didn't even help. It was a pulled muscle. I got a steroid shot and 3 X-Rays (which was stupid since IT'S A PULLED MUSCLE). But yeah, simple visit- $400. And that's my out of pocket cost. Insurance covered about 70% of it. Just... how has it gotten to this point. I literally saw the doctor for all of about 90 seconds and that was over $200. Dr. Lokale is amazing, but the staff & billing are incompetent. My husband & I called last October when switching to Cigna & were assured 3 separate times they would accept our plan. I scheduled for myself in Feb & my daughter in June. Staff told me told to bring her to my appt. I provided my new insurance card & was reassured again at the counter that Dr. Lokale hadn't been loaded into the system yet. 30 days later we received a $700 bill becasue Dr. Lokale is "out of network". They refuse to take any responsiblity in their erroor and state that pateints are always told to check with their carrier before scheduling. no one ever said that and their own website states otherwise. I even wrote a letter to Dr. Lokale explaining why we are having to leave his care, but they refuse to deliver it to him. Had shingles, called for an appointment , go is 6 weeks later. Dr. Lokale asked why I didn't get in sooner. Every appointment takes months to get in to see anyone. Had a growth in my cervic, took 18 months to get an appointment with and OBGYN to read the sonogram report I had order the year prior. That's how badly its administered. I am not going to give them even one star, I have a terrible office visit the medical assistant was very rude she called me a liar. After she took me to the exam room she asked me why I am here then I told her I don't know I received several text messages saying I have an appointment for today so I confirmed it then she said I told you yesterday not to come until you do the blood work then I told her no you did not then right away she said you are lying . Listen everyone this is the worst Dr's office I have ever been too so save yourself the rudeness and the unprofessional ,bad attitude and manners bu from the staff and don't go there . Specially Dr WAHBA medical assistant, she is very rude she has no manners she shouldn't be working in Dr office or dealing with people at all, this wasn't her first time forgetting to send me the referral for blood work. and to cover for her negligence so she doesn't get in trouble with the office she lied because I told her you did not tell me yesterday when you called me not to come today since I didn't do blood work all what you said did you do blood work then I told her no you did not send me a referral then she said you are lying, this whole office is unprofessional they are not organized. I have been trying to schedule a follow up appointment with my doc and have had this issue before. very frustrating. no one answers the phone to schedule your appointment. I left a voicemail and no one returned my call. I sent several portal requests to schedule an appointment. I even sent a message to the docs medical assistant. It took 19 days for a response on the portal. This is completely ridiculous. I will say once you get an appointment to see the doctor that the care has been great. Dr. Kramp and her resident doctors have been great. However, the office staff will put them out of business. whenever I have been in that office they have plenty of office staff that it makes no sense that the phone can not be answered. read more

After meeting with a new doctor for general healthcare, I received a bill for services not covered by insurance for added discussions about my health. I scheduled a new patient appointment back in March and was scheduled for an April appointment. Got a call the same week as my appointment saying the doctor was going out of town so they had to reschedule me and the soonest they had was June 10th. Got a call today (day before my appointment) saying they needed to reschedule me again because the doctor was going out of town and soonest they had was a July appointment. They didn't offer to check to see if another provider could see me even after I explained to them I have been rescheduled twice.. the lady just said "well I'm sorry about that". No empathy. I won't be rescheduling with this place, but if you are looking for a new doctor with this practice just beware. read more

You cannot reach your MA, cannot leave a message, they don't respond to portal, you must go into the office even for test results. When you get there, they do not smile and do not want to help. This review is for the cardiology dept at 6320 N. La Cholla Blvd. | Suite 300 Tucson, AZ 85704. Avoid this place! The front desk personnel are rude, short, unorganized, and condescending. They told me that my wife had an appointment on a certain date and time, and we had the appointment card, but when I called to confirm, they said the appointment was never made. On another occasion, one of the front desk individuals actually lied to me about asking our cardiologist to sign a release form for another procedure. It was never done. Stay away! I know this office has several divisions at this one location. It appears there's a urgent care, bone and joint, and pain management. There actually may be one more. So, this review is on the Pain Management office. I see Mr Ken Judkin's, PA. He has been my physician for a few years and this past year moved to Northwestern, so I followed. Mr. Judkin's is a very thorough provider he listens carefully to ones concern's and runs testing as needed. He was able to diagnose a condition previously missed by other providers. He has made a tremendous difference in my life. I lost nearly all my coordination in my hands and he convinced me to start painting (I had never picked up a brush my whole life). It was truly a Godsend, I enjoyed it and was often able to work through pain. There definitely isn't a magic bullet, but he has been able with traditional medications and shots and unconventional treatments like paint that has really helped. I'm still in a lot of pain, but my overall health considerably better. If you're looking for a physician who will certainly put just as much in to your care as you, Mr Judkin's is my recommendation. However, this is NOT a provider that is going to prescribe medication that isn't warranted. They run a very professional operation. I have lived with chronic pain for many years; I have seen the Good, Bad, & Ugly with pain clinic. This is a great provider. If you have chronic pain or a condition causing severe pain I definitely recommend Mr Ken Judkin's. read more

I was a patient there and had a wonderful Dr. and then all of a sudden she was gone. They recommended another Dr. that would take her patients and when I called to make an appt. she was also gone. So again, another Dr. was recommended so I made an appt. She prescribed a statin for me at 40 miligrams (I have family members who have actually had heart attacks and worse cholesterol than mine who were takin 10 mgs.) so I thought it was a high dosage, but I started taking it about a month and felt terrible the entire time. When I called her I said I thought it was way too much so she said to cut it in half, which I told her I already was. A couple weeks later, I told her I thought I might have a UTI and was going to Urgent care; and she told me to remind them that I had stage III kidney disease! Never had I ever heard that from anyone so of course it scared the hell out of me. My test came out clear on the UTI Meanwhile a friend of mine who was also a patient of our first Dr. at NW found her at another clinic so we made appts. When she compared the blood tests ordered by the Dr. that said I had kidney disease and the one she had ordered a year and a half earlier, she showed me how the numbers had actually improved and that I did not have kidney disease at all. She also lowered my statin to 10 mgs. a day. Needless to say, she made my day and I came out of the appt. feeling relief. I've talked to several others who got caught up in the massive changes at NW Allied Physicians and had to find new Drs. I hesitate to name the Dr. that overprescribed me and said I had kidney disease, but with all the changes in staff there, I would be leery to put them in charge of my health! read more

If I could give them a negative review I would. Dr. Jeffrey Mack had terrible bedside manners. Doctors like him give the profession a terrible reputation. The lack of empathy was astounding and I can assure you that our family, extended family, and friends will steer clear of this facility and more importantly, this doctor. I checked in on 11/27 around 2:30 pm. I was checked in very graciously and without judgment (which is not typical of the behavior of most the front staff here) I let them know I was going through severe alcohol withdrawal and was having serve chest pains and shortness of breath as well as a tingly sensation in my extremities and severe vomiting. I was called back to triage fairly quickly but then had to wait 4 hours to be seen while I puked profusely in the lobby, to the point of having vomit in my blood, I let the staff know my condition was getting worse and I told them I understand that they were busy. What really got me is I watched 4 patients who arrived after me get seen and taken back first. My condition was BAD and rapidly getting worse, but they couldn't give a damn. I tried to be preventive by coming to the hospital when my symptoms first started and wound up having to wait so long to receive help by the time I did I was writhing in agony. I get that alcohol and drug addiction is looked down on (and generally not taken seriously) but it is a serious issue and I was trying to receive help and was instead made to wait and get worse while in the lobby. I also recommend some sensitivity training for your staff in regards to addiction and withdrawal. Most of the staff was very understanding in the ways they could and took charge on the severity of what was happening to me,THIS is after I was actually seen and taken to a bed, but if had staff realized exactly what I was going through when I first admitted myself then maybe I could have been treated sooner and they realized how serious it was. So maybe teach your staff to actually listen and hire some more people so no one ever has to wait 4 fucking hours to be seen again. read more

Front desk staff and wait times were unlike anything I've experienced. I usually dread going to the doctors because of ridiculous wait times.... but at Northwest they got me in to see Dr. Miller before I could even finish my paperwork and 10-5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Dr. Miller and her assistant Michelle are amazing! I had been to three different doctors with the same concerns. My symptoms would go unnoticed or would not be taken seriously. Dr.Miller asked all the right questions and got my lab testing immediately! I was then diagnosed with the illness I believed I had. I can't be any more appreciative! Now I am able to manage my illness. Thank you so much. Would definitely recommend this office to everyone I know! read more

I went in to see one of the doctors for my annual check-up on Orange Grove Road . My co-pay is $45.00,they stuck an extra 25 cents . The only thing she did was listen to my heart and tell me there was no change in my meds. Today I got a bill for $16.75 so that is an extra $17.00 for her to do nothing but what is stated above . We stayed in Tucson the month of March and a couple of days before we were to fly back to Minnesota I started having muscle spasms every time I moved. I had no idea where to go and after calling a couple other places that said nothing was available I called Northwest Allied on Sunrise. I was in tears by then and the receptionist was so compassionate. She told me to come in right away because they had just opened and I wouldn't have to wait. I saw Yvette Rodriguez, NP. Don't expect any doctor or nurse practitioner to take you seriously at this office. They have a real passion for not caring about their patients. I was told "I don't have a magic wand" when I asked the nurse if she had any better advice than "weight watchers." I've been an athlete my entire life. One day I was sick and had no energy. The front desk staff is NOT empathetic, unorganized, and condescending. This may not be everyone's experience but here's what happens to us: Office staff blew off my 22 y/o daughter when they called back to schedule an appointment She was in the urgent care lobby. Said it would be a couple months to get her in. Didn't care. Treated her in a condisending way, as if she, the receptionist, knew better what was urgent or not for my child. Could have directed her to the doctor or assistant to have them decide but Nope. Nice problem solving for a bunch of people who swear the reviews online about the office staff aren't true because she is good at her job. Really? Can't even get the billing right.. I'm so irritated that I actually feel compelled take time out of my day to write this novel of a review and let people considering this office know what to expect. Back story: Urgent care said it wasn't strep but her white and red blood count are high. She has several symptoms that indicate a much bigger problem, such as cancer. My husband decided to go in and speak to someone, because you can't just call and this is crazy because they don't call back. Well they flip flopped and got her in sooner. Then sent a text message confirming her appointment at 8 and to get there 15 min early. Showed up 15 min early and they were closed. Went to the car to check the website they insist you use and it says they open at 8:30. She didn't wait as a result, figured it was mistake (maybe it was supposed to be 9? Can't call so...) and left without looking at the hours on the door-fair enough it says they open at 8 but only the door-google it. Assuming it was a mistake she went back at 845 and got attitude over their scheduling text problem. Totally dismissive. Said it was her fault for not waiting. Rescheduled for a couple days later like it was a favor. Finally gave me what she said was the manager's "direct" number. It's the main phone number and sends you in cue for costumer service. My family loves our doctor and would happily follow him to another practice. Just can't trust anyone in the current office where your first point of contact is the website. Yup, also told me I should consider using another doctor...he's not the problem. The billing office for Northwest Allied Physicians are run thieves. Two years ago I needed to go through physical therapy for a set amount of time. I paid in advance for all of my visits. When I was done with treatment I received a bill for $165. When I called them and said I don't know what you guys are doing but I've got my receipts that I paid in full. They said I owe them money, because of how it was billed by the pr office in oro valley. So I called the pt office and I'm like look you made a billing error. I've paid you guys I have my receipts. The long and the short of it is they refuse the entire amount. they waved $100. I refuse to pay the $65 because I did not know it and they sent me to collections. I've seen other specialists in the Northwest Allied group in the last few years and always paid my co-pays. I had surgery last year as a matter of fact and paid my co-pay every time I went to see the doctor. Never one was it brought up that they should I have an overdue or past due balance. I never once got a bill from the Northwest Allied Physicians billing office. They knew where I lived. Just recently I went to a one of his specialist and I paid my $25 a day. Unbeknownst to me that Cigna healthspring for Medicare is waiving all co-pays from July 1st of this year to December 31st of this year. For the better part of this month I've been trying to get my $25 back. I finally got a phone call from someone saying that they processed my refund. When I looked my bank account this week it finally showed up. However, it was only for $5. When I finally got ahold of somebody through my insurance company contacting them they said I had an old charge and they kept $20! Now I know darn well that I didn't owe them any money. Not once have I received a bill for any monies owed. So I told them they better send me a statement. But I know that I'm never going to see that money. I also know that I will never ever go see another Northwest Allied Physician from any specialty or facility! I attended a Doctor visit with my mother ( age 77) due to her having issues with a Dr. Sheni. I spoke to Dr. Sheni in a private meeting expressing my concern with my mothers alcoholism, and the starting of Alzheimer's . She reviewed her notes with me on earlier sessions. She had made comments " Im not sure she is safe enough to drive, should not drive until psychic evaluation". We both agreed that her licence should be temporarily revoked until further testing could be done. A week later we were scheduled to come in so she could speak to my mother about her issues, and see if we could get her in a rehab. At this time Dr. Sheni said she was not going to revoke her license. I asked why.. she evaded the situation. I spoke to an attorney and his explanation was she is protected by law and will have no consequences by revoking the license. I called 4 times and spoke to her assistant Clarisa. I expressed the importance and explained if Dr. Sheni does not call me back, i have no other choice but to submit this to my attorney . I also expressed since she knows she is drinking and driving that she could be liable if my mother was in an accident. On the 5 th day i received a phone call from Dr. Sheni. She was extremely rude and very irritated. I expressed that it would help if she would work with me to resolve the situation. She expressed she would no longer help. Dr. Sheni would not let me speak or even get a work in edge wise. I asked her to please allow me a few seconds to speak. She yelled on the phone she would not allow me to speak and continued to talk over me. At that time i had no other alternative but to speak at the same time. She told me she is removing herself from my mothers care and would no longer have anything to do with me and hung up on me. This is not the actions of a caring doctor.?? this is in no way how a professional should behave? The fact that she feels she can speak to someone in any manor and then hang up on them expresses her lack of professionalism. Doctors are suppose to care and help people. Not shut them out and drop them when they are needed most. I would think twice before taking a family member to Dr. Sheni. read more

We used the property located at Swan and Pima. They had sent me a bill for what they said we still owed. I was very disappointed as this was clearly their error yet we had received a bill. I contacted the Swan office and didn't receive a call back or any resolution to the discrepancy. However today after calling customer service I was put in touch with the local manager and she was able to remedy the charges and credited them. She was both courteous and hugely helpful. read more

Ok. One strike is bad...but two for a visit deserves one star. Northwest Allied Physicians / Urgent Care at La Paloma on Sunrise first gave me an inaccurate prescription and I had to return to their facility as well as the pharmacy in one day. Additionally, I have been billed for a $30 copay I already paid at the facility. I've been told they don't do the billing and it's an insurance company issue. Additionally they will push their doctors on you if you have no primary. Beware. Go elsewhere. There are a lot of other urgent care facilities in Tucson. read more

Went to this urgent care on Sunday. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. Was taken to an exam room and had the staff take my information. So far, I was very satisfied. After sitting in the exam room for 80 minutes, I walked over to the staff in the center and said that I was leaving. They said we will charge you anyway. I stated that if they needed to charge for the check-in, I understand. But I could not be charged for the physicians time, I had not seen the physician. Then the physician starts litteraly screaming across the room, I will be there in a minute. She was so loud and obnoxious, all the patients and staff could hear her regardless if she was in a room or out in the open. She immediatly walks in, gives me her diagnosis, and walks out. Now I have to wait for my paperwork. Well, it is another patients paperwork, so I wait longer. When I finally go to check out, no one is at the desk. I leave and need to return the following day to pick up my driver's license and insurance card which is only returned at the check out desk. I called the office manager three times, never received a call back. With all the mini clinics and urgent care locations in town, just keep driving to the next one! read more
