Poor customer service. The gal answering the phone can't even give you approximate time their Installation can occur. We had death in the family and it took three trips to Katy at the residence to get the window installed. No break in fee for our inconvenience with their factory mistake in measurement. I was blown away by the awesome the customer service at Northwest Glass! I am a small business owner and in this crazy Houston heat my storefront window shattered in a million pieces leaving a gaping hole and glass everywhere! My first call was to Northwest Glass and they had a crew out within 15 minutes!!!! They helped us clean up the mess and install plywood until our made-to-order glass arrived only two days later! Their crew was wonderful and fast and the price was unbelievable! This was such a saving grace, especially in this crazy heat in Houston! Gotta say I'm very satisfied and pleasantry surprised with the ease of replacing four very large double paned windows that look from my living room out to our backyard. I stressed over the thought of what would be involved and how expensive it would be. I had two highly rated companies come out and NW Glass & Mirror was clearly the more professional and knowledgeable of the two. They had compartmentalization (sales, service, install, etc) that took us through the process and installed them. Every person in every department was very professional & knowledgeable. I should have read the reviews before using this company. I made an appt for two glass panes be replaced. The window was from 12:00-5:00 pm. I called the morning of the pot and was told that I was the second to last. I call around 2:00 and was told I was the next call. They arrived at 6:00 and I refused to let them in. I had a good experience with this company. They fabricated 3 individual custom glass lid pieces for an aquarium to my own provided templates. The pieces produced were slightly large and they took them back in and sanded them down to a perfect fit for no additional fee. I didn't mind going back to get it right since the original charges were fair and they were willing to work on my small custom job - other places I called that were closer to where I live didn't want to mess with my project. I'm very upset with this company. They have gone downhill. I hired them to install a mail slot on the door. They agreed and told me that the vinyl (the vinyl consisted of the business name, logo, hours of operation, etc.) does not need to be replaced and that they could transfer the vinyl to the new door. I hired them and was happy with their service. I hired them again when I opened up a new business location. I asked them to do the same thing. However, to my disappointment and surprise, they told me that they hired new subcontractors and the subcontractors did not know how to transfer the vinyl from the old glass to the new glass door. They left the old piece of glass in my supply room... The owners were actually really rude to me on the phone even though this was their mistake. She told me that they don't transfer the vinyl and that the previous subcontractor probably did it as a courtesy. Overall, when you ask a company to perform the same exact work again...they cannot deliver the same results. read more

They actually came to my house, measured the window, came back to install only to find out they measured it incorrectly !! What kind of glass & mirror company are they running?? A great company with both customer service and integrity. I recently had an issue with my shower door installed 3 years ago. It was repaired well and the company took responsibility for the original installation. Steven and Dustin were outstanding - removing their shoes before coming in, personable and quickly diagnosing and repairing the problem. And Debbie was also fantastic. The price for the glass pieces that I needed to replace 2 broken windows in my home was very reasonable but once I ordered them (the front desk clerk said we would have to wait about 5 minutes) it took almost 25 minutes for the glass to be cut. Not only that but once I got them home they were not even and had jagged edges on them and the silicone adhesive that they sold me goes for about a 3rd of the price at Lowes or Home Depot. Maybe they were under-staffed or just busy with other things that day? Either way, I probably will not be going back. read more

Run from these guys! I contracted to have a bathroom shower glass built and 2 large mirrors fabricated and hung. Terrible service from the office staff..no calls returned. Shower panels fabricated wrong size 3 times. Broken mirror twice. After several months of mishaps and poor service the owner finally called and gave me my money back and did not charge me for one hung mirror. This company is a disaster! I stared this is April and just got it done in October with another company. Not a good glass company for measuring or installing shower doors and mirrors. read more

I received a quote for 5 single pane windows for $455. They installed the easy 3 windows, but didn't want to install the other 2. They still charged me $345. Of course this is upsetting. They charged me 75% of the quoted scope, but only performed 60%. Now I have to find another glass company to finish the job. Took 4 visits to fix a shower door that was leaking. Each time, I blocked a day out to be home. This work should have taken 2 visits, max. Visit 1 was by a guy who was merely there to assess the work needed - he had no intention of doing the repair (would have been nice to tell me that in advance, but not an unreasonable way to handle the service). That man pointed out that the door hinges needed to be replaced, in addition to the seals, and he said he would put a rush order on it, and someone would call the next day to schedule the work. Nobody called for two days, so I called them. The next week, a repair team showed up for visit number 2 with replacement seals, but no hinges. Apparently, the first guy had failed to note that we needed hinges urgently, so they didn't bring them. I was again told that someone would call me the next day to schedule visit number 3. Again, however, nobody called for two days, so I contacted them. I was told that they had the hinges in stock and would be out to finish the job the next day. When a different team showed up for visit number 3, they had the wrong size hinges, because the previous guy hadn't measured them. The hinges had to be ordered. I was again assured that I would be called the next business day to let me know when visit 4 could take place. Surprise, surprise - nobody called for two days, so I called once again and got visit number 4 set. They have now completed the work over 2 weeks after this began. The total time spent working was maybe an hour, but the time wasted (both mine and theirs) because of poor planning and poor follow-through was totally excessive. If someone says they will call me, I consider it very poor customer service for them to fail to call, especially when it happens 3 times! And it goes without saying that failure to bring the right parts because the previous guy didn't properly note the needed parts is just plain sloppy. And - I sent them an email with all of this information, which they did not even respond to. Won't be using NWG again. read more

It is hard for me to give this review because they seem like such nice people but I must warn everybody whatever you do stay away from this company I ordered new glass for the windows in my flooded house it took two different measuring sessions three different sets of glass before we finally got the right glass in and then one big picture window had spots on the inside of the glass the guy told me that they would reorder and I have not heard from them since. They very rarely return your phone calls it seems more a problem of incompetence in management rather than skill of the workers. read more

After our house flooded in 2016, we needed to have a window replaced immediately. We reached out to NW Glass and Mirror whom were able to come out to replace it the following day for much less than what 3 other companies had quoted us. The day they arrived, I had completely forgotten about our appointment as my husband and I had been moving whatever items we could salvage into a storage unit. HORRIBLE!!! We needed a couple of Windows replaced through warranty on our house.. Northwest Glass as chosen by the warranty company to install.. The first time I hear from them was a call at 8 in the morning saying we'll be there in 30 minutes.. I rescheduled, and they showed up somewhat on time.. Out of the 5 windows to be installed, 3 were measured wrong and wouldn't fit.. One broke after installation.. They ruined my grass because they laid the window on it and left it there for hours.. Now I'm left with a cracked window with duck tape across it, 2 Windows that have not been replaced and have to be re-ordered, and a backyard with a huge yellow grass rectangle.. This whole mess took about 9 hours of my day.. I have never been so disappointed with a service like this before.. read more

This business is crap!!! I thought they would be good to use because they had been around for a while. I paid them almost $400 to replace the pane of glass for a window at our home that my neighbors kid broke. Well, they broke the window frame in the process and now it's almost impossible to open and close. Even after the installer admitted to breaking it they wanted us to pay to fix it. After they finally agreed that it was their fault and would pay for it nobody will return my calls. The guy that answers the phone tells me the same thing every time, "My foreman is in a meeting right now", then takes my name and number. This has been going on for six months. Been trying to get curio shelves from them because I had a shelf to break. Decided to replace all shelves rather than just the one. $850 order. They came to house, measured and quoted 7 working days. They haven't met their commitment and customer service is terrible. They have failed to call me back with a delivery date on 3 occasions, they leave me on hold for long periods of time with each promise of a new delivery not being met. No one who answers the phone seems to know what is going on with regard to scheduling. They have now committed to another date for thursday, I hope they meet it due to company coming for Christmas!! Ive used them before for a smaller job and had no problems. Not sure what s going on. If this promise is not met, no more business for NWG. read more

I called for a shower enclosure. They came out measured and took my deposit. I never heard from them again. I called to find out when they would install and an appointment was made. I was told that the installers would call 30 minutes before. The day of installation I called to confirm. That day I didn't receive a call and no installers showed up. The next day when I called to see what happened the woman said she would call me back. She called me back to tell me that the notes say that someone called and that someone came to my house. When I responded that no one called my cell and that I was home all day and that no one showed up her response was "I'm just reading you what the notes say.The installers came out a few days later and installed. The work is good but the customer service needs significant improvement. read more

BEWARE; BEWARE; BEWARE; This was the worst experience of my life. On May 7th, I dropped of a picnic table that needed a new piece of glass. I was told 5-7 days and someone would call me. On day 7, I called to check the status. I called everyday for 7 days and was told that they would check and call me back. NOBODY ever called me back. Today I called again, I really need this table back before Memorial day. I was told the table was ready and my sister went to pick it up. When she arrived the glass was not installed in the table. My sister questioned why isn't the glass installed, Debbie from Northwest Glass said that installation cost extra. She also said that we did not tell her to install the glass. I am not sure how they were so confused, because I brought my table to them and left the table in their shop the whole time. If I just wanted a piece of glass to install it myself I would of gone to Home Depot, where I can assure you the employees are much more professional than this joint. My sister paid the install fee but they said the table still would not be ready until tomorrow because it takes 2 hours to install. After my sister returned unhappy, I returned to Northwest Glass to discuss this whole transaction. Debbie asked me to come to the back room where a person by the name of Clay came over. Not sure who Clay is. He is not the owner because I was told when I arrived and asked for the owner, he was not in, nor was the store manager. So Clay comes over and I told him how unhappy I was with this whole transaction and that I am very displeased. Clay told me to take my table and go. Wait, I paid 220 dollars for a piece of glass and waited 2 weeks and you are telling me you don't need my business when I tell you I am unhappy????? Now I am really mad. I left, but called back on the phone where Clay intercepted the call and told me to come pick up my table he does not need my business. He said the table would be at the door, he closes shop at 5:00. Wait, I was told it takes 2 hours to install the glass and now magically the glass is already installed. I returned to this place and waited for 20 minutes in the parking lot for my table. I am surprised that Clay and his employee put the table in my truck for me without charging me a fee. Needless to say when I was leaving I looked up to the Northwest Glass and Mirror marquee on the outside of the building , it stated " SHOP HELP NEEDED"...............wow that is an understatement. Clay my dear, you need to take some very long classes in customer service. If you continue the way you are going you will be out of business.
