    Pretzel
    Kayla B.

If your friends drag you to Crooked Can, Norwich Grocery offers some "healthier", lower-sodium options than some of the other restaurants inside. It's inside the Crooked Can "food hall"/vendor hall next to the rest of the restaurants inside of Crooked Can. You head to the counter, place your order, and you'll be given a beeper. The beeper goes off when your food is done and ready to collect. This way, you and your friends can all split up, getting the food that works best for you. I got their giant bavarian pretzel with two pale ale beer cheeses. I didn't try the mustard. The pretzel was seriously A+. It was deliciously salted, extremely warm and soft, and yummy all the way through. Their beer cheese wasn't for me, but it WAS very unique. I've never had a beer cheese like this - and neither had anyone else at the table. It tasted like an IPA beer cheese with a strong citrus flavor on the cheese itself. I gotta give them that; I've never tried anything like it. Everyone at the table agreed it would have been a good fit if you were splitting the pretzel around a large group of friends, but the citrus flavor was a bit overwhelming if you were just eating the whole pretzel as a dinner/lunch to yourself. Service was really friendly and quick. I was the first to have my food out of my friend group.

They're so accommodating. I ordered a mozzarella press add turkey. It was hot and fresh. If it wasn't90 out I would get soup haha. I also have had a Italian sub pressed the tomato soup and chicken salad and they're all good

Super cool place with lots of options. Think urban food court with a brewery and outside patio. Food was great too.

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch. The egg sandwich was phenomenal! Thick fluffy eggs with bacon on soft ciabatta bread. The accompanying fruit cup was above average! Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries.... So refreshing!

It was a good bit north of "well done." I asked for no pickle and got pickle. I really don't like the taste of pickle, but was not going to ask for a new burger just because it has some pickle juice on it. The bun was nicely grilled. I was not sure whether to get sweet potatoes fries or regular fries and the cashier offered a mix. I liked that and both types of fries were very good -- served hot and seemed like they were cooked in fresh and clean oil. The regular fries had just a touch of breading or batter, I think. The fries were the best part of my meal. No fountain soft drinks and just a soda in a can for $2. That's definitely a point against them. The store was extremely clean and it looks like they had good desserts. They have egg for their burgers which is a plus for me. They bill themselves as halal-friendly, that's good. Lots of vegetarian choices on the menu.

The inside is very welcoming and clean. Appreciate the range of dessert options. Wish the funnel cake fries were more crunch less greasy. Would go back again.

We tried them out for Restaurant Week 2026. Luckily for us, they had extended it another week! We…read morewere so impressed with everything we ate. Everything (except the ketchup) is housemade! The cashier/cook greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. Even though it is fast food, he checked on us a couple of times! Keep in mind, as other reviews have stated, it is set up for more of a takeout, as there are only two small high tops and no bathrooms. In the warmer months, there are two picnic tables right outside the door. My husband got the smoked turkey (nicely smoked with good bark and moist), mac & cheese (good cheese pull and not runny), pudding. I had the smoked chicken quarter leg (nicely smoked, moist, and covered with their signature sauce), collard greens (not at all spicy but good flavor), and bourbon peach cobbler. Both came with a choice of bread, and we chose corn bread. Nice and moist with a touch of sweetness. I usually drink water with my meals, but they had Jones ' sodas, and I always wanted to try one. The nice young man told me how much he liked the cream soda, so I gave it a try. It tasted so different (we think because they use cane sugar as their only sweetener) than say A&W's version. I really enjoyed it. We also wanted to try another side, so we ordered corn pudding. We were so impressed with everything, we took a to-go menu to look it over. The cashier/cook told us they have frequent specials and a loyalty program. Since we don't have a close fast fook BBQ place near us, I can see us coming here at least once a month! I am sorry I forgot to get pictures.

While visiting Hilliard from Texas for work, I wanted to experience how other states do barbecue,…read moreso I decided to try Smoke Licked Barbecue. First impressions were great. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They even allowed me to sample a few items before ordering, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I arrived just before 5 PM and they were already out of ribs, which was disappointing. I ordered the brisket, pulled pork tacos, street corn, and coleslaw. The brisket was very tender and moist, but I felt it could have used a little more seasoning. The pulled pork tacos had excellent texture and were enjoyable to eat, but the flavor was mild enough that, if I'd closed my eyes, I'm not sure I would have identified it as pulled pork. The coleslaw was also a bit lackluster for my taste and could have benefited from more seasoning. The standout side for me was the smoked street corn, which was flavorful and easily one my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, the service and cleanliness were excellent, and the food quality was solid. I just personally prefer a bolder, more seasoned barbecue flavor profile.
