I have not been to Market 65 since before the Pandemic. I have never disappointed when I go to Market 65 when I get the salad or wrap that I want. I enjoyed the Harvest salad with Blackened Chicken (substitute for Turkey Breast) with the Carmel Apple Vinaigrette that is very delicious and tasty. I had Coca-Cola Zero Sugar with my meal. Like I said, Market 65 does not disappoint because it the Chipotle of salads with the mandolin slicers and you get to how your salad or wrap is made. They use very locally sourced produce for their salads, wraps, and soups. I will be going back to Market 65 soon when I am in the downtown area. Up until recently, it had been many, many years since I last visited Market 65. I honestly think I came for a couple business lunches the first year they opened and then I moved out of state. My thoughts upon discovering it again on Yelp were as follows: 1) Wow, this place has lasted a long time and that's awesome! 2) Another super healthy food option close to me, yippee! 3) Leggggoo!! I arrived for a late lunch last week (around two in the afternoon) and the place was super quiet. There were only a handful of other customers in the place and the gentleman taking orders was the sweetest ever. He recapped their menu for me and walked me through creating my own salad. I got a mixture of spinach, kale, and romaine lettuce and tons of toppings including carrots, roasted corn, cucumber, and broccoli. I also got playful with my salad dressings, which are prepared in house! I got a side of both the spicy avocado and the champagne vinaigrette. I ended up falling in love with the spicy avocado and used that the majority of the time. It didn't take long for my salad to be prepared and it cost me about $11. That's what I generally spend on lunch, so I think the price is perfect for the quality of food you receive and the quantity, seriously this salad was enormous! I was also really blown away at how friendly the staff was. Everyone I spoke with was nice and I even got a big, "Have a great day, Jayme!" as I was walking out the door. Now while I got my salad to go, there was so much space to pop and squat and dine in if you wanted to. There were tables, booths, and even a nice patio right outside the front door. I cannot wait to get back to Market 65 and I plan on bringing friends next time. I come here almost once a week from work. For the price and the quality, it's hard to argue with ordering one of their salads (or get it as an intense wrap!) - I mean, I get the illusion I'm eating healthy, because it's a salad, while ignoring literally everything else that could maybe indicate it isn't that healthy. But a cobb salad isn't that unhealthy, right? I've come here on nice days to eat outside, on cold days to eat inside - they're pretty fast, even with a line, and are consistent. First I was a hater, now I am a lover. During opening week, things were a bit rough. Now, it's a place of vegetable wonderment. Soups are fresh daily, many are vegetarian (but not vegan). The Capitol Apple salad is indeed delicious! Apples, cranberry, goat cheese and cubes of baked butternut squash with caramel apple dressing. YUM! All dressings are made from scratch. Garlic herb is pungent but awesome as a dipper for the Brezel pretzels that are now carried. Pretzel shipments usually come in on Wednesdays but sell out quickly. Tips: add sunflower seeds at no expense. Get a side of dressing as a dipper sauce for pretzels Your SBB card gets (I think) a free salad when 2 others are purchased. After 5 pm, you get a free drink with a salad. If vegetarian, let them know, and they will chop on a separate board so there is no cross contamination. There seems to be no understanding of the levels of vegetarianism: vegan vs lacto-ovo in particular. Just be clear in your requests. (yes, I want cheese, dammit, but no, please don't chop it where you chopped chicken....and no, I am still a vegetarian). Your best best for a veggie salad other than the vegan one on the board, is to do a choose your own. NOT modify existing salad combos-that will cost you more. The folks behind the line are very sweet. AND, if you ever need an in-home chef for an event/holiday, these guys will come to you. Just ask for their info when they are making your salad. Breakfast is awesome... $4 gets you eggs, cheese and 2 ingredients. I love white cheddar with asparagus and roasted butternut squash. Market 65 is an awesome place for a relatively healthy lunch alternative in the downtown area. I am a salad lover so When I heard about this place at a Work Meeting, I knew I had to try it! The food is fresh and from the farm- by the way LOVING that you source from Fulton Farms- and you can make your own salad kind of like you make your own burrito at Chipotle. They also have wraps and quesadillas with the same ingredients available. I do wish they had different drink selections and that they were obvious. As a first timer, I wasn't sure where to see a list of drinks available and it looked like you had to have some of the 'premium' drinks in hand before you ordered. It was busy because of lunch hour and loud. I asked some questions but couldn't really hear the answers. I think they assumed I had been there before. One negative, I am a regular fan of salads, so I would get the dressing on the side next time. It was WAY too much. The Market 65 was very tasty and huge. We should have shared it because I ended up taking about half home and not sure how it will taste later. My husband had the chicken salad panini. Great lunch spot for something decently quick & healthy. I met up with a friend here, after the lunch rush, around 1. I had gone early to do some work & arrived around 12, & it was pretty busy. I ordered the Cobb 65 & my friend had the Caesar. I requested all spinach in my salad & corn instead of the 2 bean salad, with the chipotle ranch on the side. It was a really great salad & hit the spot. I love all the "goodies" in my salad & they had a good amount of toppings- chicken, corn, avocado, cherry tomatoes (I do wish the tomatoes were cut as some cherry tomatoes can be large, but no big deal!), egg & feta. The dressing was spicy but not overwhelming. The chicken was good, but would be curious to know if they use chicken breast, or all sections. I didn't even mind the line at lunch since the custom salad I ordered and the jalapeno bretzel was worth waiting for (and I was in good company as I was standing in line with the Queen of Yelp Cbus at the time)! Yum... I just wish they had a location near me in Arizona. Oh, but then I guess instead of local Ohio ingredients, they'd have to have local AZ ingredients, but that's neither here nor there. Back to Ohio... I chose a salad with iceberg, romaine, asparagus, tomato, cucumber, egg, chickpeas, artichoke hearts, roasted turkey, and avocado with balsamic dressing. I kind of wished I added even more of M65's locally grown ingredients when I saw them through the glass after I advanced in the line, but my salad ended up being just perfect. We were downtown and I have been dying to go so I suggested lets share a salad here and go for a "real" lunch after that (anything so I could come here) With that we got the baby spinach (best choice) asperagus (super tasty and added the perfect cruch, though nect time I would tell them to not chop it so small, I like spears) red onion, roated corn and roasted vegggies with the parmesan crisp (again it looked so pretty whole but was crumbled up and in the end way too much cheese for my liking) The basil peto dressing also a super tasty choice. Without any extras the salad is $6.75 for a big bowl that we shared and a more than fair price, adding proteins makes it expensive and for the amount you get not worth it in my opionion. Both of us were (only almost) too full for a lunch after that and that is saying alot for us! They need to open more of these, I am in love! Came here on a Tuesday for lunch and there was a long line, but it moved quickly. I got the Diablo with added bacon (+$1) in a spinach wrap. It seems that most people get salads instead of wraps and I quickly saw why! The salads are much more generously portioned. But I still liked my wrap, as I didn't want to have any leftover and the smaller portion was better. They literally make the same salad but put it in a wrap, the formula is not any different. The bacon was a really nice add to teh Diablo flavors. Next time I would ask for less Spicy dressing (It's called Spicy 65 or something) because DAMN it is REALLY SPICY!! I am not one to usually buy a salad when I go out to eat cause they usually end up being a let down or being to inconveniently difficult to toss on your plate before you eat it. Today was my first time trying it. The decorations and color were vibrant and gave off a good vibe. They also were playing great music (bob Marley & sublime). My experience : first day ordered a Korean chicken salad modified to remove the blue cheese, artichoke hearts (Never seen Artichokes or blue cheese anywhere in Asia) and add avocado. Food Truck Thursday was rained out so this was the next best thing according to my hipster coworker. It was already a sentimental walk through the last remnants of City Center Mall. To discover that a salad bar type place had moved into what used to be one of my favourite restaurants was irritating. I'lI admit I was impressed with the changes to the restaurant. Nice lighting, decor, and bar area. Also, a very patient staff, considering I stared at the menu for at least five minutes trying to choose the right item to fill me up. I chose the Loki salad, it sounded good but I honestly did not expect to be satisfied. All I can say is, wow! A very large, satisfying, and delicious salad! I'm still trying to figure out why I thought this is one of the best salads I've ever had. The combination of flavours - salmon, potatoes, asparagus, and greens were so good! I'm thinking the whole support local has something to do with the fabulous taste. This meat eater was definitely won over by this healthy restaurant. I used to love this place and their food, their quality is still good but this is the second time that they've messed up my ubereats order. I get it they're busy and it's not intentional but when it happens twice i do start to wonder why they're so careless about checking delivery orders! I just realized I never got around to finishing this review. My bad! Since opening last year, I've been to Market 65 countless times. Their salads are HUGE. You can get one of the standard salads on their menu, or you can make your own. If you opt for vegetarian protein, you can usually keep your salad under $7 which is nice. For toppings, they have everything from kalamata olives to roasted corn to roasted seasonal veggies. Their protein options include shrimp, steak, chicken (blackened or grilled), and many more. Two key toppings stand out to me: roasted corn and parmesan crisps. You absolutely must get the parmesan crisps. They are amazing in every way, and I keep meaning to make these at home! Also, they have loads of salad dressings (all housemade), or you can opt for simple vinegar/lemon juice and oil. Yum. The guys who work here are super nice, and they work quickly despite the huge lines that run from about 11:45 until 1:15. Some other highlights about Market 65: - They sell Brezel pretzels, which I was really excited about. - Their croutons are real croutons - none of that processed stuff you get at the grocery store. - A lot of their produce, cheeses, and meats are local! So fresh and so clean! After my first visit to Market 65, I have continued to go back because the veggies and dressings are so fresh, and the salad/wrap you get is massive. It's not often that a salad will fill you up to the point of not finishing, but Market 65 accomplishes the feat. Expect to pay somewhere in the $7-$10 range for a salad/wrap and a beverage, which is reasonable for downtown standards, but they seem to lack "lunch" portions. Your best bet is to always ask for your salad/wrap TO GO, so whatever you don't finish is easily transportable. The aesthetics of the interior are excellent, and expect to have seriously close interactions with your meal preparers, as you're only separated by a little glass window that comes up 5 feet from the ground as you make your way from ordering to payment. Seating inside is very adequate and probably should be selected, as the outside seating is under tree cover, which does tend to increase the likelihood of uncleanliness due to birds above. That said, I've always eaten outside this summer. Lunch crowds are busy, yes, but it's good that the place isn't hurting for business either, since fresh food eateries downtown are few and far between. After their initial greeting, I was pretty excited about my salad. It was when I rounded the corner, where the salad was prepared, that I seriously wanted to run. This place is a mess. The food is everywhere, especially the cheese. They do not clean after every salad is prepared so forget it if you're kosher or vegan. Your salad gets plopped down right on the same prep board as the salad before you so it doesn't matter what you asked for in your salad, you're likely to get a little bit of what was in the salads prepared before yours. The guys in prep area were just a little too lax for me and the area was just too messy. When I finally ate my salad, the lettuce tasted old and the dressing, their Caesar dressing, lacked flavor.
