I would say traditional waxing for me is a 8 outta 10 whereas this was 6.5 outta 10. McKenna was very thorough throughout the entire process. No sticky residue post wax which is common from other places. I really like the eucalyptus warm towels post wax to smooth the back, nice touch. Place was charming and clean. This was just what I needed, last two studios have been disappointing. Last place major breakout post waxing and other place gave the worst attitude. Kayla was incredibly detailed and truly took her time with my brows. The girl called me and left a voicemail asking if I was still coming (I was sick and busy with my kids which is why I couldn't come) but didn't mention a no show fee. I texted her number letting her know i messaged through the booking site. No response. A few days later I got charged $25 as a no show fee. Not super impressed with the communication interface and the lack of transparency. I'll take responsibility for agreeing to scheduling the next appointment, but I won't be returning.

This store front is ripping their customers off and illegally charging my credit card. They did a…read more'bait and switch' on my credit card three weeks ago and would not refund me the charges on credit card and the corporate headquarters will not contact me. They also will not provide me with my credit but refused to give me receipts. There are many other salons nearby that are competitively priced and have people in their businesses that actually have experience in good customer service. I wouldn't give this store even a one star and I have been a customer for many years! If they don't resolve this issue soon, I'll have the Costa Mesa Police Department pay them a visit along with the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce!
